Dr. Sandeep Chahal is an Associate Veterinarian at the Animal Hospital. He graduated from GASVAS University, India. Later he moved to California to pursue his passion in Small Animal Medicine. Dr. Chahal has been practicing in California since 2015. He has a lifelong love for animals. Dr. Chahal has a true passion for what he does and has been dedicating his time to his patients and clients.
We feel regular examinations are very important for early detection of medical problems and can be wonderfully assuring if no problems exist. The care should start as early as puppy or kitten stage and continue on until their geriatric years.

Periodontal (gum) disease is one of the most common disease affecting our pets. Periodontal disease is caused by bacteria that build up overtime on the teeth, leading to hardened tartar (calculus).

I recently visited my mother and found the state of a dog that I gave her to be in terrible shape. He could barely stand and was blind. I was shocked and saddened and knew he had to be euthanized. This was not our normal vet as I live out of town, but I called them and told them the situation and they were so kind and gave me an appointment right away and helped me euthanize my sweet Enzo. I am so grateful to them and especially grateful for their kindness and for the care they showed Enzo.

My experience with this animal hospital was amazing! Everyone was so sweet and caring. They treated my dog so well and you can tell everyone one who works there loves their job! Thank you so much for taking care of Princess. They did such a wonderful job I referred my mother here and she also told me her experience went really well 💕💕💕💕

I can't say thank you enough! We had to take our 16 yr old Chihuahua to be put down because he had a stroke, and could no longer stand. I went to other vets, and was told they couldn't see him. I called the animal hospital, and they quadruple booked us, but was able to see us. They were very compassionate, caring, and professional. Thank you for helping us relieve his pain, and suffering!

I just had the greatest experience with this hospital I've ever had even with my own... Not only did they take me in same day I called when my own veterinarian wouldn't the staff was great the doctor was amazing I have a French bulldog who needed immediate attention they also shared my concern my dog is home and is already doing better

I give this Vet 2 stars. It is very challenging to be seen by Vets right now and they were able to quickly schedule appointments for two of my cats.
My bengal cat received great care last week and the Vet I saw that night was great. I'd give this vet 5 stars. He made a quick recovery after being seen and received full blood tests and diagnosis.
Sadly this was not the case for an emergency foster cat we accepted from the streets we brought in this weekend. The cat was skin and bones and while the vet (a different one) dewormed him and ran basic bloodwork tests, no futher blood work was

This place was amazing. I spent all night looking for an emergency vet. My dog was fading fast and in a lot of pain. I called almost every vet in the 209,916,and 530 area code. They advertised 24 hr care then when u call they are closed. Or the vet is too busy. My dog was dying, in pain, and NOT ONE SINGLE VET had an up to date website or would they help nor would they refer. Then I found this vet. Not only did they answer right away, it was never an option for them to not see me. They didn't hesitate to help me and my dog. Turns out he has pneumonia and with luck and TLC and meds my big guy is

I was looking for a vet since getting my puppy last year and my friend referred me here! Since then, we have gotten all his puppy shots with AH and the staff has always been kind and communicative. Our dog recently had to undergo surgery for cryptorchidism and I felt comfortable and at ease with the level of care he received from AH. I recommend AH for anyone who is looking for a vet for their fur baby!

Owners and beloved pets all face mortality at some time. None of us escape without pain and suffering. That's why my recent experience with Dr. Chahal, his manager, technician Debby, and receptionist Lynn all should be held accountable in refusing service to my very ill cat when we needEd consolation during a very difficult time. Dr. Chahal told me to not return for his services because my behavior was not acceptable when I requested an appointment. I was told the doctor was overbooked, the technician and office manager hung up on me and the receptionist refused to fit me in without charging

We couldn't be happier!!
Brought our elderly fur baby in for some dental work and we received EXCELLENT care. The appointments were very timely (didn't have to wait months like the other places).
Cost was a tad bit high but that's ok... we were totally happy with care.

My cat wasn't feeling well and every vet in Stockton was either booked or they had appointments for the following days and I was very worried and really wanted to get my cat looked at . As soon as I called they made an appointment for me that same day and got her looked at right away . Staff was so nice and kind and the doctor was also very nice. I just wish I would've seen the doctor when I picked up my cat to get more details of why she got sick and how I could prevent it from happening . As for the price I can't really say whether it was more or less expensive than other vets

I've found my new vet!!
With COVID, it's nearly impossible to get an appointment, but I called this morning and they were able to get me in for 2:45. Everywhere in Stockton were booked solid until June.
Once we arrived, a staff member brought out paperwork to fill out, came back a few minutes later to collect them. And before I knew it, a tech was out to get my baby girl for her appt.
The doctor came out to explain everything before anything was done. Every staff member that helped me today were very nice, courteous, and had my dogs care as their priority.

I found the BEST clinic ever! Dr Chahal is AMAZING! Took my 14 year old cat in to have her put down (had the same cough as her sister, whom I put down last Aug as vet on Ben Holt by starbucks said she had water around her heart) But Dr. Chahal said he thinks a steroid shot and antibiotics would clear her up. That was a month ago and she is healthy and going strong!! (Thinking Dr. Chahal could have probably saved my other cat too...). The staff is SOO kind and all the extra steps they take during covid is impressive. THANK YOU DR. CHAHAL

I cannot thank the Animal hospital enough!!! The wonderful doctor got my little baby Susan Douglas, jack russell terrier, through a semi-risky surgery as my pup is 11 years old. I was so blessed to meet Meagan, a nurse here, and she took it upon herself to fix my love bugs teeth free of charge. Normally would cost $1200. I love this place and they truly CARE about all pets!!!

My dog was attacked by a larger dog and had done wounds that were concerning. I called at 8:30 am on Thursday and they got me in at 9:30 am that same day. My boy was cleaned up, stitched up and is doing well. I’ve been to this Vet several times and I have never had an issue. The team is absolutely fantastic, the facility is so clean and my animals are always given the best care and concern. 10/10 do recommend.

We had to take our dog for a drop in appointment after he injured himself on the weekend. The team was compassionate and professional. Since we are in COVID, we weren't able to accompany our Bodie into the vet but they helped us get him and met with us at the car to explain all the things that needed to happen. When we came to pick him up, they made sure I was clear about rehab and answered all my questions. Wish I'd had pet insurance but that's not their fault.

One of my dogs needed some urgent help, my wife and I called 6 or 7 vets in the area and these guys were the only ones that would take next day appointments, without charging an unreasonable amount.
The place is clean, staff and doctors took good care of my dog. I liked how they treated other patients as well.

As a new pet owner choosing a vet can be difficult. After searching for local vets and reading reviews I choose Animal Hospital. I'm so glad I did.
Every vet tech is kind, welcoming, knowledgable, and interactive with your pet.
The Veterinarians are kind, answer all questions, informative, and provide excellent care.
I've had a really good experience taking my new puppy there and I love how careful they are with him. I've never had a problem making an appointment. They always have a way to work with my schedule.
My pets are family and they treat them as so too.

This clinic switched hands and is no longer a place I will take my dogs. First there is no longer walk in visits unless its an emergency, unless your willing to pay an additional $60. Second prices have dramatically increased.
I needed a simple brucellosis test for my female dog. They proceeded to do a full check up and I ended up paying almsot $200 for this test. The previous owners charged me half that less than a year ago. It seemed like the new owner was more interested in trying to sell me unneeded services than he was in performing the test I asked.
Needless to say I will not be going

I have been taking my dogs to Animal Hospital for over the last 20 years and it has been a pleasant experience.
Since they have changed ownership I feel it has been a bad transition.
When I read other comments by other clients I wasn't surprised when they mentioned that RUDE individual at the front counter. When they mentioned the name Lynn I knew exactly who they were speaking of. She does not fit in to the organization. She should not be in this business at all based on her attitude and compassion towards animals. As for new policies no credit cards? No checks? DEBIT cards ONLY!

Hahahhaha apparently they read this review and tied it back to my account because I showed up to get my dogs flu shot so he could go to daycare over the weekend and they refused to provide any services. Just another example of how great this vet is. Instead of speaking to me about my issue they just refuse to see me. Actually a good thing because it forced me to finally switch my dog to where we take our cat. Glad to put this horrible business in the rear view.
