We are a family-owned practice and pride ourselves on a small-town feel with warm, friendly and courteous service. Hunter Harris, owner and son of founder Dr. Buck Harris, has been around animals all his life. He started out cleaning kennels for his father and has been working for many years as a veterinary technician. His easy-going and level-headed approach sets the tone for the environment at Harris Veterinary Hospital.
Harris Veterinary Hospital has been an essential part of San Jaoquin County for six decades. In fact, 2012 marks the 60th anniversary of Dr. Buck Harris first opening his office doors in 1952. Dr. Harris was born in Vancoucer, WA in 1915. He graduated from Washington State University and his studies were interrupted for the four years he served in the Navy during World War II.

I am new to the area and tried getting a Rx filled for my dogs at Costco. The Vet's office would not call the Rx in; said I had to have Costco call them. Costco said "No, the request must come their vet." After 3 trips across town the order got screwed up 3 x's. I called to say, "What is going? Can someone please help me out here?"
I was later called back by someone else to be told I didn't need to hang up on their staff. I said there must have been a mistake, I didn't hang up on anyone.

Was blown away by this place as a whole. Right when you step in the door everyone was kind. The place was immaculately clean, even the decor was nice for a veterinary office. After doing my homework and speaking with 10 other vet offices and references on pricing and scheduling, Harris Veterinary Hospital hit both points on the head. Thanks to Jorge for scheduling me and taking the time to explain things to me over the phone. Everyone was gentle and friendly with my boy. I have been bringing my dog and cat here for about one year. I am usually satisfied but not today. I had my friend take my dog only for one shot, that is what the appointment was for. My friend has brought him in there before for me since I have to work. Today, they not only gave him his shot but a list of many other things including cutting his nails that I NEVER asked for. He is going to the groomer in a week and I was going to have that done. The nail clipping was $25.00. Mr. Harris is a down to earth and caring individual. His staff is a perfect reflection of this behavior and we won't be going any were else. They doct this kitty Angel's tail after we rescued him.
He skinned it to the bone and once he didn't have it anymore he has become the happiest kitty in a good home. This place is highly recommended. Thank you all

My dog was terrified of the 2 male vet techs working that day when I came to pick her up & she had blood & shot fluid running down her shoulder from where they gave her her immunizations. The same vet techs were talking back to the vet in front of me which was super awkward & unprofessional. My dog went to the bathroom & drank water for a crazy amount of time when she got home as I had to leave her there for a small surgery for the day. So to me that shows she wasn't taken out to potty or given water all day. Not to mention how scared she was. Who knows what happened while

Unsatisfied with the customer service I received today. I've encountered this front desk lady before but didn't pay much attention to it. But today? I payed close attention. After taking my payment, she tossed, TOSSED my card back to me. Didn't "hand" it to me. TOSSED IT and it landed on the counter. I want so close to handing my card back to her and asking her to politely hand it back to me in the professional manner she should have. If I could leave 0 stars I most certainly would. It saddens me that I have to come onto yelp and leave this review all because this man clearly has no idea how to do his job. I recently had to put both of my dogs down due to "Dr. Jones" incompetency and to say the least lack of knowledge he had about animals in more particular canines. My 8 month old yellow lab was put down back in February of 2019. My family took her to this veterinary in hopes to finding out what exactly was wrong with her. My father spend over $1,500 on tests to ultimately NEVER find out why she was extremely lethargic

The doctor and the staff were absolutely amazing! They took such good care of my senior dog. I really appreciated how the doctor came out shook my hand made the whole experience very personal. The office is low key and there for the animal and not for the money. I think I have found my forever vet! Thank you!

Read my google review and the one below from Mark. I had a bad feeling when I walked in here and should have trusted my instincts about Dr. Jones. In a nut shell these people supposedly performed surgery on my pet WITH OUT telling me. Not a call to say this is our plan..nothing! The only call I got was to tell me he died!! My cat sat there for 2 days with a broken in half leg while they "decided" what to do.
