If there's one thing Mirsina knows-it's food. With a large Greek family, she has been immersed in the restaurant business since before she could walk. Passion and love for cooking has been passed down from generation to generation. And thus, Mirsina's Restaurant was born. Mirsina's Restaurant opened on Main Street in downtown Old Saybrook in February of 2015.
Serving both breakfast and lunch daily, you'll find traditional American and Greek cuisine. And delectable desserts too! One bite of Mirsina's famous rice pudding and you'll be hooked! Combining healthy options, comfort food, and everything in between-Mirsina's uses fresh ingredients and spices. If you can think of it, chances are Mirsina's can make it!

I should have known better after seeing the Dunkin’ Donuts in Old Saybrook with a 4.2 rating and Mirsina’s with a 4.7 rating. How a fast food restaurant serving mass produced junk can rate that high doesn’t reflect positively on the legitimacy of other restaurant reviews. Had high hopes for Mirsina’s based on the ratings but left feeling like it is average at best = 2.5 out of 5 stars. We ordered 3 omelets, two vegetarian and one with meat, which were bland, home fries were among the worst we had and didn’t eat them, and the whole wheat toast tasted store brand. Thankfully there was ground

Outstanding!!! We had the kabobs and the cabbage rolls and a couple of brandies on the blind:pear and plumb. Mid rare kabobs were done to perfection with perfect carmelized onions. There had to be 12 oz of meat, and she could cut it with a spoon. We had a hearty steak and eggs the next day and it we were still amazed by the excellence. The sauce with the cabbage rolls was to die for. We will absolutely return. Pro tip: take an uber and have some plumb brandy. Live a little.

Popular local venue for b/l/d with a Greek flare. Waitress was very friendly & provided professional and quick service. Not many POC around, but the atmosphere is inclusive. We felt very welcome. Prices are consistent with the tony surroundings. They have great outdoor tables for meals & people watching. We will go back. Very close to the Turnpike.
