DO NOT STAY HERE!!! I had booked a room for 5 nights, but left the second day because of cockroaches (I woke up to one crawling on my arm) and my neighbors smoking pot all night. I told the front desk that I was leaving for these reasons and I draw the line at at cockroaches. She told me she would give my case to the general manager. I never heard back from the manager and they charged my card for the full 5 day stay. I called them 3 days later and the manager would not get on the phone and told the desk clerk that they will not refund my money. This is thievery! This place is unhygienic! DO NOT

Staff is extremely rude and unprofessional!!! People on two floors just hanging out with their doors open smoking pot. Which apparently was fine with the front desk. But was not fine with me having a small dog with me. They told me my dog looked aggressive. Total bull! Not to mention the fact that they say they are pet friendly!!! I would not recommend this place to anyone!!!

The only good thing I can say about this hotel is that they gave me my money back. The front desk has a very strong powdery smell. The rest of the hotel smelled like weed. When we walked into the room it didn’t look that bad, until you actually started looking. I went in the bathroom and saw two dead roaches, mind you I had a child and dog with me. We decided we were not going to stay so we called the Hilton down the street and we’re able to get a room for $100 more. As we were leaving the room we saw a roach crawling up the wall. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

We stayed at the Tropical Seas Hotel on the first floor for four days and three nights the staff was very friendly check in was real fast the room was super clean the people that work there were very polite and very respectful I saw them every day cleaning the hallway vacuuming the hallway they all had their masks on. I never once asked them to clean my room just because of the Delta in COVID-19 I figure I treat that room the way I treat my house so if I needed to sweep the floor I will sweep the floor they offered me fresh towels fresh sheets anytime I wanted them the staff was so nice to me.

We stayed here 3 years ago, and it wasn't bad at all. Decided to stay here again this year and it was horrible. We will never stay here again. Despite being understaffed, no daily room service, never had fresh towels, couldn't find anyone to get toilet paper from. The air condition vents were incredibly dirty and I had to clean them and dirt on the floor. The hallways were a mess and the air condition units in the hallways were loud and disgusting.
At 10pm they had maintenance cleaning the stair railings....... rattled the walls until we called down to complain. The pool isn't appealing at all

We booked on booking.com and they said that they were pet friendly so we got it for that reason. When we got there they told us that only the first three floors are pet friendly? Why would you market yourself as pet friendly when it’s limited. Then we explained to them that we read the website and it did not say that at all which if you go on booking.con it doesn’t. So that lady rudely said “YES IT DOES”. It doesn’t help the fact that we tried calling ahead of time and we were out on hold for 1 hour a week before we booked it. We had a great stay here. We had an oceanfront efficiency room with our dog, beautiful views and the room looks just like the pictures advertised. The staff was friendly and helpful. I’m not a fan of the actual beach, this was my first time at Myrtle Beach. It was way too crowded and so many huge hotels.. but for what it is, Tropical Seas was great for us, the room was clean and nicely updated. Would come back if there weren’t so many people everywhere 😂but that’s what this area of the beach is like.

Room was really nice! Just bring your own cleaning supplies. We had to go get clean towels. We only had three towels to start, for three nights, for four people. Parking was a bit of a pain. Otherwise beach access was great and front desk was friendly. Didn't see a gym, but walked the beach instead. Loved having a fridge and microwave, we didn't use the little stove. Not bad.

No smoking signs say no smoking in rooms, hotel and grounds. People were smoking at the pool and balconies.

This place exceeded our expectations. It has a pleasant smell throughout the hotel. No carpets in the rooms to trap odor is a plus. The view from the balcony is beautiful right on the shore line! There were a few areas of opportunity just a little more attention to detail dusting wise and more towels in the bathroom will help eliminate calls to the front desk. When we did have to reach out the staff was friendly and polite.

Tropical Seas Resort was a pleasant surprise. Stayed overnight for a great price right on the beach. The location is fantastic! It is within walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and even Putt Putt. The airport is only a few Mike's away so it is really convenient.

It's as advertised. Room was clean and comfortable. WiFi couldn't sustain a connection to even do a simple google search. The in house pizzeria claims to be open "late night" but was closed by 10:30 pm every night. Pool was clean, beach accessible, and air conditioning kept things comfortable. Overall I was unhappy with the WiFi and the pizzeria, everything else was good.

My husband and I decided to stay any extra two nights, we were are the Sea Mist, but wasn't to pleased with it so I decided to come to this hotal instead and let me tell you that was the best decision I have ever made! The hotal staff here is absolutely amazing, friendly, and you can tell they want to make you feel comfortable as possible even with the Pandemic still going on. You can definitely tell the hotal has been completely renovated. The hotal staff was top notch and I was told that if I brought my dogs it was 65 dollars whether it was a one night stay to a week. DON'T STAY HERE! Me and my husband stayed at this place for one night from 1/18/2020 to 1/19/2020. Next day after check out we were charged additional fee of $150 - as manager said, there was a strong smell of weed in the room. Neither of us are smokers, perhaps, it was in the room next to us. So manager assumed it was our room, and hotel has charged us with no notification or report of evidence.
Manager also lied that we've checked out past proper time- this is not true, we have a receipt from the front desk with no issues reported.

The actual motel itself isn't too bad the only thing nice about this place is the workers in the office and the room. First off there's no hooks in the bathrooms for your towels so you can't hang them up to dry, the housekeeping staff is EXTREMELY rude and don't want to do their job. We asked to have our room swept and the woman was rude about it and didn't even sweep the bathroom and there was sand all in the bathroom. I will never stay here again, better off staying at a days inn or holiday inn!

Absolutely disgusting. Once we checked in and said "let's see what the room looks like, it might not be that bad", we found that it was that bad. Our room was disgusting. Dirt and bugs were on the floor, unclean sheets, and a dirty bathroom were just the start. We went downstairs and spoke with the front desk and manager Mickey. They said they were sorry to hear that and would have house keeping go clean it while we went out to supper. Reasonable priced, right on the beach. Pretty oceanfront view with balcony. A few minor issues but nothing that would take away from the location and price and proximity to the beach. Less people down south a little for a nice beach set down spot. Ample parking. Would stay here again.
It's about 3 miles from the broad walk if that is an issue for u. But walking down there was fine and an easy Uber back. Everything u could ever want or need is 3 miles away.

What a disappointing decision to take a chance on this "renovated" older hotel! I wanted to support and remember Myrtle Beach before the high rise condominiums and restaurant row went on for miles. I took a friend here for a long weekend who recently had open heart surgery and also lost her husband in 2018. I checked the reviews religiously and was prepared to be in an older establishment, but this place is a dump! I was embarrassed to bring my friend to a place like this. A No Refund sign is in the lobby. Do not stay here. Do not believe the staged photos.

Staff at front desk was friendly, welcoming & helpful. hotel is run down & in desperate need of renovations but you pay for what you get. stayed there on our way out of town bc is right there by the beach, we were at a villa further south but had a hard time accessing the beach on our own. first room we stayed at was SCARY, not clean at all, sheets were dirty carpet was AWFUL... requested a room change w oceanview, much better, at least it was renovated & cleaner. not a place i would recommend unless you can't afford anything else, decent doesn't even cover it. rooms run

Why I didn't give 5 stars? Floor wasn't very clean upon checkin, WiFi wasn't that great, and only had 1 spoon in the kitchen, no mirror in the main room.

Price was reasonable and the area was actually in a better/safer/cleaner looking neighborhood than some places I've stayed at in MB. The pool area was kept very clean. Parking was great. Beds were comfy. But the best thing was the staff. They were so very friendly and accommodating! Every request was met with a desire to do a good job

My friend and I decided to stay here for s few days and boy it was a great choice they have a pizza place inside the hotel the view to the ocean was very beautiful they have 2 pools and a hot tub in the middle of the pools it was easy access to get to the beach and we couldn't beat the price they have one washer and 2 dryers and it's reasonably priced. I recommend this place the people at the front were very nice and professional

Stayed in a luxurious 3 bed suite. The view was amazing! We watched the repair man fix the bridge to the beach, and couples dry hump each other in the pool. The spacious kitchen had a lot to offer with its' tin foil burners, tin foil coated oven racks, and reversed faucet knobs. The beds were ultra plush complete with a plastic wrapper and a comforter with cigarette holes. The spacious bathrooms were superb! You could see your reflection in about 80% of the mirror the other 20% seemed to have rotted away. I burned myself in the comfortable shower as I 'turnt' the cold water knob

Most awful hotel service I've ever experienced. It started when I asked to be the highest floor possible when I made my reservation in advance. I arrived to being put on the first floor, right outside the cleaning and washer room, who were rude and loud and carried on banter and excessive noise from about 7 am to 9 am. You couldn't rest in a single day of vacation. Then in being asked to be moved there was no sympathy or correction just continued noise. Wednesday morning coming Back from the beach we had a bolt on our room door without a call, question or reason.. After confronting them
