Many people don't realize, but in Minnesota owners whose property was sold at the sheriff's auction, can still buy the property back from the sheriff and sell it. Redemption period could be 5 weeks, 6 months and 12 months. If the property is vacant, usually the redemption period is only 5 weeks. If owners have less than 30% of equity in their home, redemption period is 6 months.
