Services
The Corleto Funeral Home was founded in 1906 by Sarah Fidance Corleto, the first licensed female funeral director in Delaware. She was the wife of Antonio Corleto, a successful business entrepreneur. Sarah opened and operated her funeral home on the corner of 7th and Lincoln Sts. in West Wilmington's Little Italy neighborhood.
Located in one of Wilmington's most distinctive neighborhoods, we are easily accessible from anywhere in New Castle County by Interstate 95, Kirkwood Highway, Rt. 52 Kennett Pike, or Rt 48 Lancaster Pike. Our newly remodeled facility offers warmth and character, while providing a dignified atmosphere that can accommodate any type of service or visitation.
When factoring in the estimated cost of the total funeral ceremony, you must also consider the third party expenses, such as the cemetery; church related fees for musicians, offerings to the clergy and to the church; obituary; certified copies of the death certificate; flowers; or other items you may choose to purchase.
The following is a list of choices which represent the cost of our services. They may or may not include the casket or container required for visitation or viewing, burial, entombment or cremation.
Professional services provided but not limited to: Removal of deceased from place of death to our care during regular business hours - 8 AM to 5 PM (If the removal of the deceased must occur between 5 PM and 8 AM, or from a residence, there may be additional charges).Providing necessary motor equipment to facilitate services.
