Our complex changed management companies several times over the past 5 years. There was always one issue or the other with previous companies. At this point, I thought that "that's just the way it is".
I didn't have high hopes when we switched to Shockcor around half a year ago but I've been pleasantly surprised with them so far. Randy Chambers is very responsive. Issues get resolved quickly. They're very proactive on maintenance - every month there is something pretty major, fixed, replaced, painted etc.

Tamera was absolutely amazing. Very responsive when it came just inquiring about a listing. Then was super accommodating at getting my leasing process completed and super friendly. I enjoyed the straight forward attitude and how she was explained the whole leasing process. Got me into the apartment I really wanted in about a week from the day I called and everything. I can’t say more about just how pleasant the whole process has been and how nice the property is. Thank you for everything!!!

I lived in the South Pearl apartments for a year 2016-2017 and on my last month( after months of complaining to my landlord about infestation of roaches) I moved out on my last month of my lease. My apartment had become infested and I have health issues that could’ve potentially gotten worse living in the condition I was living in. I look on my credit report and it’s reported that I owe shockor, I had to move out because my health, I couldn’t afford a exterminator and when I told the landlord he said that they come and spray regularly. I kept my unit spotless, I had to throw all of my furniture

Our property is now with a different management group, so I just wanted to say that Shockor was great to us. In particular, Tamera made our move from North Carolina WAY less stressful, because my husband and I were at our wit's end. Problems always come up with these old properties in Capital Hill, but we always found them more than responsive when something serious was broken. I would definitely work with them in the future.

Joyce was an excellent property manager. Incredibly attentive, kind, and welcoming. I will miss her. The building was great.
The admin has not been great. Security deposit checks are required to be returned to past residents within a timely fashion by law. I moved out of a Shockcor residence nearly 110 days ago. I do not have my money.
The company sent my security deposit "to the correct address" yet it never arrived to me. They forced me to pay a $35 fee to have my own money reissued to me by check.
Now I am in an email back-and-forth, trying to get a confirmation about when I can pick up my

My building is great, I love my balcony and my hardwood floors. The property manager on site, Joyce, is kind and fast to respond. Due to COVID, I recently applied for housing assistance. It was challenging, and took time, but the management company always responded quickly and helped me get the assistance I needed. In these challenging times, it was refreshing to get the help I needed, quickly. Angela was my saving grace! thank you so much!

Huh, I'm surprised about the bad reviews! (Although I guess not really, people love to complain).
I've lived in a Shockcor building for 4 years and have never had a problem with them. Janet is great to deal with and very fair in terms of leases. My rent went up a little over the years, but not in a dramatic way. Most maintenance requests were handled quickly and well.
My only wish is that they would get online payment options so you don't have to drop the check off every month, but that's not a big deal.

I thought my apartment at the Patrician would be perfect. Great location, great price and beautiful hardwood floors. After the 9th month of me renting in bliss, I found bed bugs. Shockcor Inc apparently treated the apartment 6 times but the bugs came back. Other units in my building were treated at the same time and my apartment had been treated prior to me moving in. The entire building is infested and they deny it. They won't treat the whole building, the bugs move from unit to unit and it continues to be a major problem. I could not stay at my apartment for 2 months, spent $100s
