Here are a few old photos of the Stillwell's resort from the early 1920's that we talked about in our Big Bear Resorts & Tourism article. This popular resort was ideally located on a point on the lake just north/west of Big Bear village. Stillwell's was the most expensive place to stay in the 1920's and 1940's.

Only reason why I gave them a 2 star and not a 1 star is because the waitress was nice, but that skinny emo girl that seats ppl is one of the rudest b#@$% ever. Walked in with my gf and asked if they were open and she said rudely said "well the doors are open" food was on the level of Dennys as far as quality goes only nice thing was the outdoor dining area with pond and the waitress, finished our meal and cpt rude walks up to us and ask us to walk around when we leave because she was closing the entrance doors, she clearly has to be related to the owner, probably a spoiled hungover granddaughter

Very slow morning service for average breakfast, not worth an hour and a half of our day. Details follow:
Came here with the free breakfast from staying at the hotel, Tuesday around 10 restaurant was not busy. They took our order quickly then we got the food an hour later, one plate had clearly been sitting for awhile since the toast butter had completely melted. Very, very slow service for average plate of eggs and potatoes, without anyone coming by during the wait to update us, or apologize. All we got from our server when we finally got our food was "sorry for the wait, it wasn't my fault"

I will give this place 2 stars only because the dinner we had was great however the next morning when we decided to give them a try for breakfast the wait time to be seated was 20 minutes even though no one else was waiting and when we did get seated there were only 3 other tables eating. We found out from the hostess while we were waiting that there was an issue in the kitchen. I ordered a waffle which came out so cold butter wouldn't melt. My granddaughter order sausage and got bacon my husband ordered an omelet with sausage,bacon,tomato,green pepper and cheese. He got bacon and tomato and to
