Provide thorough, accurate, objective, timely property evaluations communicated in a clear and concise manner with a commitment to the highest ethics, and customer service standards. Bill Carlson is absolutely an amazing home inspector! He inspected a million plus new construction home for my clients this week and recommended a structural inspection due to what he suspected was not enough piers in a certain area.

Sure enough more piers were necessary! The structural engineer commented to me privately that most home inspectors wouldn't pick up on the need for more piers. My buyers were very impressed! Couldn't even begin to say how impressed my husband and I are with Bill. He was incredibly detailed and wonderful when it came to explaining the issues he had found in the house we were having inspected.
Services
During my 18 years of experience inspecting Nashville area homes, I have personally inspected approximately 7,500 homes, each with a high level of detail. My Tennessee State Home Inspector License Number (#63) is a good indicator of my longevity in the field locally. Newly sequentially issued licensed numbers are currently in the range of 1,600+ and high license numbers can be an indicator of a novice home inspector.
When you work with Carlson Home Inspection, you know you are getting the most experienced and dedicated home inspector available in the Nashville area. I have been inspecting homes since 2002 and continue to learn daily. I am involved in a variety of professional associations and have recently passed the Tennessee General Contractor's License exam.
Carlson Home Inspection is a customer-oriented business providing services in Nashville Tennessee. Each inspection is performed methodically and includes root cause analysis of larger issues and and examples of possible standard repairs. Most home inspectors provide a vague checklist style or minimally narrative reports with mostly boiler-plate cookie cutter comments.
At Carlson Home Inspection, I provide affordable inspection reports in Nashville area so that you can invest your money in what matters most - your home. The following conditions will incur additional fees: detached structures, travel greater than 30 minutes, older homes, primarily single level homes, distressed property, multi-unit properties, and rentals with tenants.

I am a real estate agent and have referred Bill Carlson to my clients for a number of years. He has been and continues to be thorough, prompt with responses and scheduling, a straight shooter, and a real pleasure to work with.

Carlson Home Inspection protected my family from serious issues prior to making our first home purchase in 2012. Bill was extremely thorough with his inspection, identifying issues that other amateur inspectors would not think to look at it. That was the real value with Bill, he was not afraid to really dive into the home. Bill not only identified problems that needed to be fixed by the sellers of the home, he also identified the problems that would happen in the future that were not traditionally covered by the seller (i.e. the HVAC system was 10 years old, he said that we probably had another

He was phenomenal. As a first time home buyer, he explained everything that I needed elaboration on (aka dumbed it down for us), and addressed any concerns I had. Of course he's going to "nit-pick", that's his job! And a good realtor will be able to understand and explain what's a big deal and what's not if you can't do it yourself. Also, what sealed the deal about him: I had ordered a radon test and he had already set it up in the crawlspace, but by the end of the inspection rundown we had decided with our realtor that we would not be moving forward with the purchase, and he asked if we still

I called looking for structural repair, but he was very nice to chat through different approaches to getting inspections/bids from structural engineers/structural repair. He was very helpful with references and treated me like a person. Based on interacting with him for 5min, I would recommend his business for home inspections to other people.

Carlson Home Inspection has inspected three houses for me in the past 2 years. I found Bill Carlson to be highly professional and the most thorough home inspector I've ever worked with. I have an engineering background, consider myself a very detail oriented person, and also have experience as a general contractor. As such I feel that I have a little more than average knowledge about the nuts and bolts of houses, including the parts you can't readily see. If you really want to know the condition of a house before you buy, I give Call Carlson Home Inspection my highest recommendation.

I have used Bill Carlson twice as a buyer and both times have received great return on the investment. He is very professional and thorough with a fast turn around time. If you're going to buy a property, protect yourself by first having Bill inspect it.

I would not use Bill Carlson from Carlson Home Inspection Services for any inspections. He exaggerated on issues, and even stated issues that did not exist. Issues that were debunked after reviewing them in person and getting second opinions. Even the professionals who gave second opinions thought the issues were exaggerated or false. He also nitpicked everything to death, even insignificant items. He acts smug and arrogant thinking he knows it all.
