One of the best located. Nice staff. The interior design of the rooms are a little dated but very functional. Lovely ocean view... great breakfast with good options.

Good hot breakfast, friendly staff, clean room. There was some renovation going on, but they kept most pools open and it wasn't too noisy with balcony closed. Got an absolutely fantastic out of season rate on Priceline and they upgraded the room to an ocean facing one for free. Would definitely stay here again.

The room are NOT what they post on the website in pictures. I booked through Hotwire and was told I was getting an "Oceanfront" room. When my son and I arrived, we received a low budget building across the street and not on the ocean. It cost an extra $30 a night to upgrade to the "Suites."

Unfortunately you can't give a negative star review. The Quality Inn would've been better than this place. The pictures (website advertising) are clearly misleading. When I made the reservation I thought I'd at least get a decent room with at minimally a partial ocean view. Had no idea I'd be staying in something called the "west tower" which is across the street from the hotel. The first room they put me in was dirty and the heat didn't work. Not to mention the 1 chair in the room was stained with what looked like dry blood. When I went to the front desk to request another room because the heat

This Resort was VERY nice! The settings was beautiful, the breakfast was great, the cooks and servers done an awesome job on the food. The Pizzareia was also great, good wings and grill shrimps. The pool area very beautiful and nice. My can't and I really enjoyed ourselves. We decided to stay another night and left this morning. Thank you Dayton House Resort, y'all are the best.

We had a WONDERFUL weekend getaway. The staff was very friendly and eager to help with any and all questions and concerns. The rooms were exactly the way they were pictured and described on the website. I called prior to our arrival to find out which tower we were going to be staying in and where we should park. The young lady was very prompt in answering my questions. The pools, elevators, and grounds were well kept and free of debris and odor. The breakfast was hot and the dining area was clean and the servers practiced proper food handling. I would differently be going back and recommended the

We've been staying at the Dayton House every October for about the last 10 years. We bring a large group of people with us as part of the annual seniors softball tournament. 3 teams and spouses. We bring a lot of business. Sadly the Dayton House has gone drastically down hill. Even though they renovated (a few cosmetic upgrades such as granite countertops), it's a dirty, smelly mess. The management staff is rude, less than helpful and unresponsive. We will not be back. Hotels along the grand strand are a dime a dozen, I'm sure we'll be happy elsewhere.

We stayed at the Dalton house for five days when we checked in we looked at our room and found it to be very dirty I called downstairs to the receptionist and asked if they could send someone up to take a look at it and clean it I was told that they were short on staff and there was no one to send up so I thought they would send me to a new room but they made no such offer I asked if they would send a manager up to look at the room to see how dirty it was and they said they did not have time for that I thought for the price that I had paid which was close to $400 a night that I would get a clean

Outdated & overpriced. Inside common areas have old musty carpeting. A couple pools looked like they needed to be shocked with chlorine a bit more often. No resort staff would walk the area near pools; lots of kids & families. Some playing loud music, kids running around with no supervision & had their personal belongings all over the place. Cement around pool areas had a coating of plaster that was chipping. No beach towels provided.

Our room was clean. Please note that rooms are not cleaned everyday. Housekeeping only brings fresh towels and picks up garbage. Nice kitchen &

Stayed here on 8/16/2021. The hotel misrepresents what it is. It is not a resort for sure. It is old and run down. The sheets are old and almost see through. Water pressure is almost none to the point the toilet has a hard time flushing. The hotel is separated into 4 buildings and the breakfast is in yet another building that is a walk away. Didn't try the breakfast in fear of it. The front desk people are not helpful at all. They would not even give me a receipt when checking out. Stay away from this motel not resort. The only thing worth anything is access to the beach.

I booked this hotel for our vacation because it was reasonably priced and had several amenities we were looking for during our vacation. The view was very nice and it was close to everything. We didn't drive more than 15 minutes to get anywhere. When I checked us in, there were two female staff memebers at the desk. The woman that checked me in wasn't very professional. She had on a stained shirt (not a resort shirt) and wasn't pleasant. Another person came in while she was helping me. The other staff member at the desk helped her. The guest was having some issues with her reservation

I came here with my family for a vacation, and a tournament. Check in was easy. The room wasn't ready when we arrived so we had to wait about 30 minutes or so. The front desk staff were friendly. When we got to the room finally, it was very clean. The room looked like the pictures on the website. The view was amazing, we had the oceanfront room. The pools were clean, and there was live entertainment. The free breakfast was fine, not great but not bad either. Overall it was a great stay, and we will be staying here next time we are in Myrtle.

I would never stay here again. The room was dirty when we arrived. Dirty sheets on two of the beds. The shower handle popped right off and we couldn't shower for a day because it was stuck on burning hot. They never sent anyone to fix it so we had to rig it ourselves. The kitchen was not properly stocked and missing basic items such as silverware. When we called the front desk they said we had to walk over to the other building to get it ourselves. We had a broken hair dryer. No batteries in the remotes. The air conditioner was so loud you couldn't sleep at night. Clean towels were about

Breakfast is good especially those grits. Overall all the staff did a marvelous job Savanah the bartender went above and beyond to make our stay great Adaline cleaned

This place is not worth going to,went to Myrtle Beach for a baseball tournament. This was one of the places they recommended, the staff was rude got into a argument with my daughter about getting clean towels and she stated that she had been there which was a lie. There website says they updated all the rooms. Putting a little paint down is not my idea of being updated. The beds were terrible. Would not recommend this place to anyone

We've stayed a lot of places since we like to travel. MB has a lot of old hotels on the strip so it's expected to not be the nicest hotel. That being said, we arrived to find the bed skirts dirty, old Doritos on the floor and a cigarette butt on the deck. The breakfast staff were late to open and the breakfast was so bad that even though it's free, we will be eating somewhere else tomorrow.
We loved the pools and the fact that it's close to the beach. I know some people have said the front desk staff were rude but honestly to me they seemed very nice.

Let's just get to it, my husband and 2 boys had a guys weekend. Check in unfortunately set the mood for just about the whole weekend. My husband was greeted by a very rude receptionist named Tracy, bc the check in formation had a slight mistake, rather than try and work with my husband to resolve the issue, he was told "it's wrong, I can't check you in, NEXT CUSTOMER" (as she looked past him to literally get the next customer, as if he was a child). After the issue was resolved (within maybe 10 min) he then had to wait in line again (50 people deep) and was then greeted

If I could give this resort a zero, I would! Worst hotel experience EVER!!!
1. Resort is nothing like what is pictured online (very deceiving/misleading). 2. Room was not vacuumed, carpet was stained and furniture was not dusted.
3. We were unable to sit on our oceanfront balcony with our children because our neighbors were smoking so much weed that I was afraid we would get a contact high.
4. Inside pools are exposed to outdoor elements, so its still freezing to swim this time of year (doors leading outside were unable to be closed).
5. Our toilet was leaking to the downstairs unit, so they

Our room was mostly clean on check in. It could have been vacuumed a bit better. The website said the rooms were updated. I think they must have meant turning some rooms into efficiencies. Our carpet and one of the decorative pillows had large stains- what I hope were just wine.

The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Alex at check in was pleasant and friendly and I spoke with John on the phone a couple times and he also was friendly and helpful.

Jimmy in maintenance took care of us well, our room safe was locked when we got there and he opened it up for us.

Housekeeping was very accommodating

My friend and I booked our trip on Priceline and went with Dayton House Resort. The rooms had been slightly remodeled and felt and looked clean. The shower was nice and the floors were marble tile. We opted in for an ocean view room and it was totally worth it to wake up to the ocean every morning. The beds were super firm and I prefer a pillow top more cushy bed. We had two queen beds and my bed felt as if it didn't have a boxed spring under the mattress as it's as super bouncy and I had to sleep towards the middle of the bed. The check in process was not pleasant at all. We're

I was scared about the reviews but we decided to opt in for a updated room with a view. The room itself wasn't so bad. The kitchenette was nice and had what we needed. The bed was ok. There is a tv in the room. The bathroom was mostly updated but the toilet paper holder was very rusted. The ceiling was also pretty rusted.

They do have a breakfast buffet across the street. It's honestly not that great. Very generic and not good. The eggs were watery and their juice station was constantly out of juice.

The staff was friendly for us. They greeted us each time we walked by. We didn&apos
