Mushin Judo is focused on returning Judo to its martial roots. Through dedication to mutual welfare and benefit as well as maximum efficiency/minimum effort, we strive to develop and educate the entire person. Judo was cultivated by Jigoro Kano in an effort to produce better people and therefore a better society.
This goal is not achieved by better fighters or athletes but by people who have the utmost confidence in their own ability. This confidence coupled with wisdom and awareness gives the practitioner the opportunity to become the best version of themselves.

Services
Etiquette is an important part of judo. Judoka are expected to respect their practice partners, opponents, their instructors, coaches, and the referees and officials at tournaments. Our respect for others in judo is expressed through our actions and words. These specific actions are expected of a judoka.

I’ve been attending classes here since the start of this year, and transferred after a semester of Judo at Boise State. My experience here has been overwhelmingly positive, despite my extremely unimpressive stature and comparative lack of experience. The instructors and more experienced students are all very friendly and patient, leading to a very safe environment to practice and learn Judo. If you’re looking to get into martial arts, but are intimidated at the prospect, this is the perfect place to start.
