For over 40 years, Sal's Pizza & Subs has offered fresh food at fair prices to our neighbors throughout Hanover, PA. If you're not 100% satisfied, before you leave a review, click "Make It Right" and that's what we'll do! I had a doctor appointment in Hanover and wanted a cheesesteak sub. I was so glad I stopped in.

The pizza and Italian cold cut subs are the only things I get at Sal’s because they are so darn good, I can’t bring myself to explore the rest of their menu! There are several pizza shops in Hanover that are excellent and this is one of them. I’ve been a customer for decades and will certainly continue. I’m glad they are not far from where I live. I’ve NEVER been disappointed there or had an issue that wasn’t resolved. I don’t feel like cooking tonight, so I’ll be ordering from Sal’s!

Sal's Pizza & Subs is the best Pizza and Sub restaurant in Central Pennsylvania. Not only is their food fabulous but the staff makes you feel like you are part of their family. Wings were suprisingly delicious, cheese steak, not so much. The wings were super crispy and pretty large, dry wings but top notch crunch and flavor! The cheese steak was very dry, lacked all toppings except lettuce where there was way too much. Where is the cheese, tomato, onions, peppers, mayo??? I asked for it to be loaded with everything. Also asked for hot sauce and dude said ok, once we got the food and asked where the hot sauce was he said they don't carry hot sauce? Ordered pizzas & meatballs at 5:34pm. Confirmed address. 6:44pm called to find out where food is. Driver lost. Confirmed address again. Told driver will be there soon. 6:51 no food & told driver will be there. 7:03 called Sals again.Driver had returned to Sals with our food. Sals never let us know. When I called them the last time, they said they never took our phone number down when I ordered. 3 calls to find our food & they never apologized, not one time. And they delivered here before. Horrible customer skills.

This is our first time here. We went there after getting our Christmas tree. Took a leap of faith from Yelp reviews. Sal's did not disappoint. We ordered the Cheese pizza. It totally took me back to when I was in high school and our local hangout for pizza. It was a NY style pizza joint back in the day. This is what their pizza reminded me of. Will totally be coming back. The crust has just the right crunch and they do not skimp on cheese. Delicious!

Our last visit, they accidentally made our pizza with pepperoni instead of meatball. It happens, but what usually does not happen... they sent the mistake home with us as a courtesy. Our corrected pie came out about ten minutes later, and everyone was happy. I've always had great experiences at Sal's. I make it a point to visit whenever I'm in town. The pizza is delicious, and their Italian cold cuts are pretty on point as well. Always go for the cherry Coke... they use the cherry syrup and mix it themselves. There is also a pick up window for your convenience if you'd prefer

I've lived in this area since I was a little girl, on & off since 1980 so I'm very familiar with this place. It had been a few years since I'd had it so a friend & I indulged the other day. I've lived all over and honestly this is one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The pieces are huge. The dough is crispy but flops when you pick it up like it should. Under the cheese the dough is perfectly done and chewy. The sauce & cheese come almost to the edge, no scrimping here. The cheese isn't that bubble gum type mozzarella the chain joints use. It's real

To be honest, this was my first visit to Sal's, unfortunately it was also the last. I can only comment on the pizza. I know it is hard to find a good pizza, but don't look for one here. The only way I can describe it is that it reminded me of wet cardboard only greasy. No sauce, no flavor, nasty undercooked dough. The dough was actually raw under the tasteless cheese. You could not even hold it by the crust without it drooping and the topping falling off. And this was not a cheap pizza. Save your time and money and go buy a frozen pizza from Walmart, it is much better.

It's a decent restaurant, the pizza is good. I recommend going during the day. When I went there late in the evening the quality of the service and food by the kids working there was less than satisfactory. I would not recommend the steak sub, because I had explosive diarrhea two times after eating the steak sub, but otherwise the steak sub was very nice on other occasions. .

Sal's has been serving pizza and subs in Hanover for what seems like forever. It used to be just Jerry & Sal's but, many years ago, Jerry decided to run his own restaurant on the north end of town at the North Hanover Mall (still operating today) and Sal moved to this location on the south side.

Sal's is sooo good. Perfect crust and sauce to cheese ratio. I live in Michigan now but I go back to Hanover to visit family once in a while.. We can't get new york style pizza in the mid west...can you believe this chicago style nonsense?! Sals satisfies my craving for real good pizza!

This place has AWESOME pizza. The restaurant is comfortable, clean, and inviting. You can relax while they make up your divine dish and within a short span you will be feasting on giant slices of goodness! Not too much sauce, perfect crust, not overcooked, and the cheese-oh my gosh-the cheese-YUM!!
Will be coming back again very soon!!
