It's ashame what this place has become. The beer taste like it's been sitting in the tanks for a long time and just flat. They no longer have a kitchen do to having mice problems. They pulled the kitchen. Hopefully someone takes over this beautiful building and makes into a brewery worth going to.

Bar keep was nice and music was great. Love a good rock playlist. Beer was good, the best was the red. Wifey got a mixed drink with the coconut vodka and it was great. The pizza was amazing - I got the old world and wife got the gluten free (she has celiac) buffalo grilled chicken pizza and it was good too!

Pizza and cannoli as good as anything we have up near NYC. Which says a lot. Barrel-aged liquors are rough, but the vodka is pretty good. The Oktoberfest and pumpkin spice beers are great, though. A wonderfully pleasant surprise in the middle of a long drive home from western VA, and we are thrilled we found this little gem!

I didn’t think I was going to like the pickle pizza but, it wasn’t a bad and I’m glad I tried it. The crust was awesome and I can’t wait to try more varieties a pizza from their menu.

Absolutely love this spot! They go absolutely above and beyond in customer service, too. They treated us (with 2 dogs) so kindly, even letting me taste a few of their distilled drinks before making a final purchase. But, what put it over the top, is that I left my jacket there and called about it 2 days later. I live a few hours away, and had no how I might get this fall jacket back and an employee actually offered to bring it back to dc when we returned for the weekend and pass it off to me. YES, he drove it FROM Gettysburg BACK to DC and met me to give me my jacket back. Honestly, one of the

If I could I would give this place a zero. I took my oldest son there to get lunch we both ordered wraps and fries we sat there for over a hour and they never came out with two wraps and fries. Sorry but that's not good service at all. We will never go back plus they charge 2 dollars for a can of soda kinda expensive if you ask me! And there barn has no AC in it so it's hot in there. There are plenty of better places to eat in Gettysburg. Stay Away from here!!

We had high hopes for this place. Excited to visit the barn as a history lover/tourist and beer lover….
We returned our first beer because it was flat. Was offered another different beer—maybe the wheat we ordered was about to kick….no worries and appreciate them trying to fix it. Except that other (different) beer was flat too. At least the bar tender was friendly but we gave up on the alcohol at this point. At least two out of six beers offered at a craft brewery should not be flat…
While the Divino Pizzeria is not the same establishment, the service and experience with them was also

Visiting from out of state and ended up there this past weekend when everything downtown was packed for bike week (and we had our dog) and so glad we did. The food was excellent: pizza and stromboli were great, and the crabby fries were the best any of us had ever had. The beer and mixed drinks were great also. Would absolutely go again if we're back in Gettysburg.

Another place we happened upon while out looking for new places to try. Friendly staff and good 'spirits'. If you are running around Gettysburg and would like to have a drink in a vintage place... this is one to visit. Just be careful after too many cold ones as the flooring tends to be uneven from age, you might just be the stumbling, dancing clown if your are not careful. It all lends to the enjoyable visit. :-)

We visited Battlefield Brew Works on a Friday night to celebrate two birthdays! We arrived around 5:30 and there was plenty of seating!

I have to start with how wonderful the staff is. Every person we encountered was kind, helpful, and went out of their way to help us celebrate.

I drank several cocktails from their menu, while others I was with enjoyed the beer flights. The cocktails were good, but a little sweeter than I prefer and definitely light on the alcohol. Next time I'll stick to the beer, which I did get to try and really enjoyed.

They're now offering food. We tried the

Beers were all flat tasting. We didn't like any of the beers we tried. We go to a lot of breweries ... let me tell you, this beer is not good. Period.
They do have an amazing building and a cool atmosphere. Disappointed.

Quaint location with a nice rustic feel. Went on a Saturday and I was surprised that there only 2 people pouring beer. The line moved quite slowly. The beer was decent. They do sell food, which you pay for separate from the beer. The food was just ok. We would go back again, but we would go out of our way for it.

Probably without a doubt, the worst beer I have ever tasted. Really. I ordered up a pint of their Pale Ale while my friend ordered a NEIPA. She had first tried a taste of their sour and cringed and whispered to me that it was awful. But we soldiered on in ordering the two pints when we should have tasted those, as well. The pale ale was sort of like apple juice. NOTHING similar to what a pale ale should taste like. The New England IPA was about on par with dirty tap water. We both left our full pints on the table and split for better beer. The brewer should 1) clean all contaminated tanks

We stopped to check out this place. It's actually pretty cool. We tried the beer and spirit sampler, lots of choices to choose from and all the ones we tried were pretty good. The bar tender was very nice and helpful. Live music and cool atmosphere, we would definitely come back!

The location and atmosphere were great. Easy parking, lovely outside seating area, large tables inside. There was minimal rustic decor, giving an open vibe. It was beautiful to hang out within, playing cards while drinking.....but the beer was meh so overall experience was bleg.

We came for the groupon: one empty growler, one pint glass to go, and a $30 credit. I got a flight of the cream ale, cherry cream ale, IPA, and stout. I felt the beer was plain, with a warm taste. Nothing was super impressive; we didn't even want to fill our growler with the credit-so we just opted for the most tolerable

Unfortunately the best part of going to Battlefield Brew Works is the location/atmosphere. It is an old civil war hospital...very minimal decor. Very cool to be in.

My girlfriend and I came here as part of the Adams County Pour Tour- we each got a flight of beer to taste. Each pour was worse than the next. My friend said, "It left a slinky taste in my mouth as if the ghosts were still there."

We each drank one sample and left all the rest. If you are a craft beer lover, do yourself a favor and skip this place. I heard the spirits are better so maybe give those a try.

A cute little stop for beer while wondering the streets of Gettysburg. The beer selection was minimal, but the real winner was the spirits. I really enjoyed my vodka soda. Staff was helpful and pleasant.

When visiting Gettysburg this is a must! With so much history and once a confederate hospital, the atmosphere does not disappoint. The staff is extremely friendly and will give you a quick history of the building if it is not crowded. The pumpkin ale and apple moonshine is worth the trip.

I had a Groupon i bought for a bday gift. 2 Growlers and $30 credit for food. Wasn't expecting much. Looks like they are still coming up with decor. We got there when it opened. It was a little chilly before they lit all the gas stoves.
So this is limited BBQ menu. I got a pork filled grilled cheese and loved it. It came to the table immediately. Also ordered was a pork etc Quesadilla the only pork filled on menu, with other fixings involved that i forget. This was amazing and large! The corn lime cheese and chicken filled quesadilla was just good. Pork sandwich was great and beer selections

I stopped by during Gettysburg Rocks so we got to enjoy some great music in a really neat venue. We did the beer sampler which was perfect for two people and the pulled pork quesadilla was SO good. I wish we were in town longer to try some more off their menu. My only dislike was that the location wasn't walkable from where we were staying but we easily ubered there and back.

Stopped in after checking out Gettysburg. The bartenders were friendly and efficient.

I ordered the lager, which was lacking depth. The rest of the beers my party tried were also lackluster.

The building itself is super cool and they have board games for use.

I also ordered a soft pretzel, which was delicious.

Overall, the beers aren't memorable but it's a cool stop in the area.

Arrived early for a conference and decided to try a sampler here around 4:30 PM. With a good friend, and we shared a taster of all nine beers! Super friendly servers. Wasn't too busy so they really explained the history of the building, their beers, their distilled spirits, their upcoming band events.

I liked their chocolate raspberry stout and their IPA and pale ale--many interesting beers. We also had the chance to taste their chocolate chili liqueur--May need to return to get a bottle.

Gettysburg is all ice and it was even special to snap a photo of sun setting through icy branches in

I liked this place. It's a little out of the way, but worth the trip. I had a few of the beers, and tried the gin. Was happy with both.

The lack of menu is a drawback, but the history of the location and the venue itself makes up for it. Worth the drive.

Beer/Spirits lovers and history buffs will adore Battlefield Brew Works, although the beer may be a bit strong for casual beer fans.

The most interesting part of Battlefield Brew Works is the rich history of the property. The old barn that houses the brewery was built in 1848 and served as a Confederate field hospital, treating over 1300 wounded confederate soldiers during the Battle of Gettysburg. So if you're a history buff that loves alcohol, this will pretty much be heaven on earth for you. The barn maintains its rustic charm with modern conveniences, such as heating and indoor plumbing
