Bay City Restaurant & Seafood Company is a family owned and operated business founded in 1963 by William "Ted" Smith. The first seafood restaurant in Hanover, Pennsylvania, it was a business that grew out of a Volkswagen bug. Then living in Maryland, Ted Smith started the restaurant by hauling the fresh seafood and produce over the Mason-Dixon line from Baltimore.

Beat City is always a great experience. The younger gentleman we had as our server was one of the best servers we've had last year. He was polite. He was way ahead of everything. Wasn't pushy, but actually cared how our meal and experience was. The food was great, once again. I recommend this over Red Lobster every single chance I get

I called and made reservations for 8:45 because it was New Year's Eve and thought they would be busy. We arrived at 8:50 to find the place very quiet. My husband went in to see if they were open and was met by the hostess who said, Yes we are. They seated us in the bar which was ok since we were only coming in for dessert and coffee. The desserts were ok :( The Carrot cake I ordered was very dry and stale and the coffee was burnt. We sat and talked waiting for the desserts and drinks, and then was asked by the waitress if we were ready for our check because they close at 10:00. I'm not sure why

Food was delicious, but overpriced for the portion size. (My plate was almost $30 and the main course was about the size of my fist. It was so good though, and I could have eaten twice that amount.) The fish was cooked to perfection. 👌

Ok. Enjoyed the seafood nachos and the peach milkshake. I also got the seafood pasta with marinara sauce, but I wasn't a huge fan of the sauce, and the scallops were pretty small.
My grandpa got the fried seafood platter (although he was on the keto diet, and didn't realize it was breaded, still ate it though).
Plenty of food (and leftovers) for what you pay, but the prices are a little bit steep.

My husband and I ate here last night. It was just ok. Nothing special. The servings were generous and our server was excellent Kristina. We started with salad and then we shared an appetizer BC sampler. It was good. I had the seafood combination was ok. And my husband had the shrimp and crab Alfredo. He said it was ok as well.

Had a great time food was excellent. I had to drink a Blue Voodoo and for appetizer calamari very good. For lunch I had the Lunch special which had 3 scallops, 3 shrimp and lump imperial crab meat, my husband had the broiled scallops. Didn't have room for dessert. There is a lounge for dining or the main diningroom. We sat in the lounge. The do catering and banquets. No reservations for lunch but they prefer it for dinner gets busy.
