Services
DARCO, Inc. was formed in 1979 with a goal of providing residents with quality, yet affordable and efficient apartment living in the Seattle area. Today, we own and manage nine apartment communities in Seattle neighborhoods like Queen Anne, Capitol Hill and University District. Each neighborhood and community offers its own unique features and amenities.
At the base of Queen Anne, just blocks away from Seattle Center and the Climate Pledge Arena, great restaurants and ample shopping, the Del Roy stands as a proud cornerstone to the neighborhood. Hardwood floors, tall ceilings, turn-of-the-century charm, and large windows greet you every time you come home.
Perched on Capitol Hill overlooking Seattle, the Molokai offers stunning views in many apartments. Spacious units with massive windows flood the spaces with light. The Molokai is perfectly situated between Broadway and 15th, offering the best of both worlds while being convenient to the new shops and eateries in the Pike/Pine Corridor.
Floor to ceiling windows make these quaint homes feel expansive, yet not expensive. If efficiency is your goal, then the Olive Terrace is your home! Perfectly situated at the corner of Denny and Olive Way, the Olive Terrace provides the most convenient access to Downtown, Broadway, the Pike/Pine Corridor and the up and coming South Lake Union and Cascadia neighborhoods.
Half way up Queen Anne Avenue, this building peers out over Uptown, Belltown and Elliott Bay. Units in the Royal Anne feature large spaces and massive windows. Views dominate many of the apartments and well landscaped courtyards calm others. Triple pane windows block traffic noise on the Queen Anne Ave side of the building.

I've been living at their Olive Terrace location for the last three years, and they've been exceptional - the staff and landlord/landlady have been extremely responsive, and for a first-time renter like my roommates, having friendly and helpful staff who explained things so well was a huge weight off their chests. I am genuinely sad that we outgrew the apartment at Olive Terrace, as the price was good, the placement was good, and even the neighbors were nice, which is a bit rare in Seattle. Thank you to everyone who worked there, you made our three years there wonderful~!

I applied for an apartment recently. I was required to put down 25% of the deposit in the form of a money order to hold the place while my application was being processed. I didnt end up getting the apartment and I was just given back the money order. Not sure if they realize how much of an inconvenience it is to get a money order refund, and that WU charges $15 for refunds.
The manager did feel bad that my application was denied and gave me the $40 application fee out of his own pocket. It is what it is.

I lived in the Del Roy apartments in Lower Queen Anne for almost 6 years (2012-2018), and loved it. I moved in because the location was prime, rent was at a great price point, the onsite landlord was lovely, and the unit was an amazing space.
Throughout the years, I never had major issues with DARCO or management. Their communication was always clear, and I appreciated the FYI memos that they would leave on everyone's door. They were prompt to reply whenever I had a question, and gave ample time to inform tenants if anyone from the company was entering units, schedule building/unit repairs

Horrible experience at Olive Terrace. They originally lied to me about the utilities THEN forced me to pay it anyways after the manager moved out. NO parking for TENANTS, employees ONLY. RENT INCREASE was imminent and DID NOT compromise AT ALL!!!! Failed to mention the size of water heater or the fact that the bill is shared. Installed "security cameras" for only the employees personal cars. Electric bill for the unit is OUTRAGEOUSLY EXPENSIVE with old heaters. Rotting front door. Maintenance takes FOREVER if not at all. Shower, sinks, stove, cabinets were all old and broken. NO SCREENS on windows

Worst living conditions I've ever been in, and an even shadier management situation. Always smells like trash and pee. Better lock your doors because I've watched people break in very easily. Also bed bugs and roaches. Their only appeal is that they're "affordable" in a popular neighborhood, but that's about it. You better hope to not have a maintainance issue, or you can expect to pay to repair the run down conditions out of pocket.
Oh and if you have a service animal for therapy, don't even bother. When you decide to move out, they'll happily use that

I live in the Darco Building on 1811 Summit Ave.
Did not recommended, this place is the worst and don't let the rent amount fooled you since you gonna pay the same amount as other apartment (which is way more better than here) because the way how they calculate bill is mess up. When I first moved in, the carpet was old and dirty but we put some furniture on to cover it and do you know how much they ask for the cleaning fee - 400$. Man, with 400$ they should do better job than that. And within the first month I lived in there the bulb in the bathroom EXPLODED (No joke), good thing that no

I live in the Avante Apartments (525 Bellevue Ave E) managed by Darco Inc and I love it here! Sure the hallways and elevator are a little outdated but for the price of my apartment I don't mind. The building is always kept clean by the manager and I honestly haven't had any trouble with any neighbors. The walls aren't thin like some places and I can't hear my neighbors at all. Randy the resident manager is one of the nicest people I've ever met and is also professional. I would move here if you are looking for a nice place to live without breaking your bank.

I live in the Darco building on 12th and Harrison and I'm very happy here. My apartment manager is great and responsive, my neighbors are courteous, and the shared facilities are well maintained. I've been here 2 years now, pay a great price for an awesome view in Cap Hill, and the one time they raised the rent, it was only by $30. You can also set up an auto pay online, which is easy and hassle-free.

My roommate and I put in an application and deposit at a Darco apartment. We were told the deposit was an assurance that the place was ours unless we weren't approved. The day before we were supposed to sign the lease, the landlord called to say the apartment had apparently been unofficially "promised" to someone else before we applied, so we were out. Just like that.
The Darco people were unapologetic and matter-of-fact about the experience. They said our deposit would be mailed back to us via check ... we still haven't received it. RENT AT YOUR OWN RISK!

We live in a Darco Inc. apartment building at 525 Bellevue Ave E on Capital Hill.
It is horrible! The halls always smell bad and that smell seeps into your apartment. The managers keep changing and they don't seem to do anything besides collect rent. The 1 elevator is so small that if you went in there by yourself, you would feel claustrophobic.
Do not rent here!
