Perfect location, perfect space, just right for a long weekend, and I could see staying here for the week. Weather was not right for us to use the pool but others were and it looked well maintained, clean, nice size for the size of the property. Small fire feature, corn hole, bike racks, outside shower, sweet patio. Clean rooms with comfortable beds, sofa etc. Mini efficiency, great for wine and nosh at night and coffee and danish in the am. Location is perfect, right at the start of the promenade, steps to the beach. check in/out was a snap, staff is very friendly. No daily cleaning due

I’ve long advocated for the hotel as a high quality and peaceful retreat in Cape May. My experience this week will bring that to an end. Having been coming here for years - the quality of service and amenities have greatly declined. I was nearly berated for asking for a pool towel “we don’t do that anymore” was the snippy response. Broken lights, come and fetch a clothing steamer “ we can’t come to your room” - really?? Just an overall bad attitude by staff and ownership. I suggest you spend your $400 mid-week rate they demand someplace else - it’s just not worth it.

Great hotel for a couple, friends, or families. The pool area is clean and there is a baby pool for small children/babies. The rooms are pretty up to date & they are clean. The walk to the beach is definitely one of the best in Cape May. 1 minute walk! Only 5 minute drive from city center! Loved being in a quiet area where the beach wasn’t as crowded. The only complaint, and I wouldn’t even call it that, is that the maid service was short staff. They brought new towels every day, but did not clean the room every day. I am sure if you asked, they would come in. We didn’t need them to, as we

I had never been to Cape May and decided to stay at the Periwinkle in for 2 nights because of a deal being offered online. I couldn’t have been happier with my choice. The rooms were spotless and clean. The pool area was also extremely well kept and clean. The inn was right across the street from the beach and a great distance from the downtown area. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend staying here and plan on staying again in the future!

This charming boutique hotel has large rooms with microwave and little refrigerators. Perfect for chilled wine on the balcony. The pool is large enough so you don't feel overwhelmed. Parking is ample. The have yard games on the lawn and a fire pit. Grills and ice machine are added bonus for the guests. This was our second visit and will come back!

A wonderful place to stay at Cape May. After my second time staying there I can’t say enough good things about this place. Rooms were clean, a lot of open space outside, pool, beach entrance right across the street, and most importantly friendly staff. Everyone was so kind to my son and I cannot thank them enough for that. They provided shuttle rides to and back from all the locations we wanted to go. My son really enjoyed that. If you enjoy walking a lot of mini golf, arcade, dining places and Mall is within in 1mi walking distance. I will be back soon to stay here again.

So lovely. Great staff and location. The rooms are very nice! We loved the comfy beds and views! Steps away from an amazing breakfast and good wine. Also, I left something there and the staff mailed it to me! They are so nice!
I am writing a review to be kind, but I almost don’t want to tell anyone how great it is!

I had a reservation for the Periwinkle in June. Myself and other family members became sick with Covid during the pandemic so we could obviously not travel. NJ was also under a lockdown at the time. I emailed and called the Hotel two weeks before our arrival time and no one answered, I also requested a refund and no answer. We finally received an email from customer service a few days before our arrival date saying we would not be refunded, I called asked to change our reservation dates and we did with no problem. Our reservation is coming up this Friday and I am a NYC teacher. I wanted to change

I hate to give a bad review, but this is the second season I've stayed here and the issues are still the same. Even though the rooms are nice and the property is so well taken care of, this is a smokers paradise. Basically if you're a smoker, this is is the place for you. Anyone can freely smoke anywhere they want, on the property, in the pool, while kids are swimming, etc. If smoking wasn't allowed this would be the perfect hotel!

I called Periwinkle on Tuesday morning after noticing two charges from Periwinkle Inn. I also called as I did not receive a confirmation email from reserving the day before for my room M1.
At 9am I got Kathy, who was very helpful and told me to call back that evening. She said that Elaina (the manager) seems to have put the two charges through and she could explain better to me as of why she did charge twice.
When I called back at 7pm, I got Elaina. I explained why I was confused and asked why the two charges. She blamed me for the back and forth emails and said she thought I wanted the M2 room

Great spot with beach access directly across the street! Never had an issue with parking in the spacious lot. Check-in was quick and smooth and front desk staff was friendly. We booked this trip for the prime beach location but it was definitely a bonus that there are plenty of restaurants/bars/shopping/mini golf within 10-15 minutes walking distance. Lighthouse and other restaurants/shopping was a short car ride. The rooms were SO CLEAN as well as the pool area. Private balcony was enjoyable in the evenings when the sun went down. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Cape May!

I have stayed at this hotel along with my family and friends. I made reservation in January for an August vacation. Unfortunately I couldn't go. I canceled 2 1/2 months before. It was obvious I canceled well in advance for a credit back. They told me that was fine but they charge a 25% penalty, which is absurd especially during this pandemic. They told me that the refund will take 3 months. Who ever heard of a 3 month refund. It should take no more than a week. All it takes is a click of a button to get my refund. It is almost 2 months----no refund. I will advise you that if you are going

Location is great! Rooms are nice and were comfortably able to accommodate myself, my fiancee, my daughter and her step sister. We had the efficiency with a twin bed and sleeper sofa in addition to the queen bed in a separate sleeping area. Staff was friendly and gave us ideas on a few things to do outside of the Cape May area. My only complaint was that the twin bed was right outside of the bathroom and the sink is separate from the toilet and shower. The sink area had no door between it and the twin bed, so I felt the light from the sink area was disturbing to my daughter if I tried to clean

Excellent location, the beach is directly across the street. The rooms are nice, I wish the kitchen area was better lit and a little larger. The bathroom, though small, is really nice. The bed was less firm than we're used to, so sleeping wasn't the most restful. Overall, a good place but given what we paid for two nights, I doubt we'll return.

So, hubby and I booked this place for our 9 year wedding anniversary.
After scouring the reviews and photos of PI, it seemed like this would be a great place (our usual place was booked).
When we arrived, we were told that the elevators were not working. Given the comments by the other guests checking in of, "The elevators are still down", this seemed to not be a new issue.
The front desk staff seemed to care less about us. Their attitudes were meh. The women weren't really too friendly, smiling or inviting.
The room was clean. I will say that. Everything was clean. I have OCD

What a horrible hotel. No idea how they got the good reviews, paid for it??
Room is under basic. Ocean view is some kind of a joke, don't bother paying more. I'll post a pic so you can see. Basically most of the rooms have some kind of pathetic 'view' of the ocean so why paying top dollars. If you call for water bottles you get a very angry answer. If you ask to park an extra car you get an angry refusal - park it on the street! The towels that are folded nicely- stink! The swimming pool closes at 8pm! When it's Summer and completely light and warm outside. Save your money
