Everything we needed to make our stay complete and comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped with a toaster, full size fridge, coffee maker, dishes, silverware pots and pans. No microwave, but that was fine. Very clean rooms, and wonderful staff. Close to everything Cape May has to offer. Not walking distance, unless your ready for a long walk to the goodies offered on the main drag of Cape May. Wasn’t a problem, 2 minute drive and you at the beach!!!!!!

Not a bad place for the money. The room was clean. I was surprised by the little backroom with a pull out sofa down the hall from our main room. I also liked the balcony that you could sit outside with a view of the pool. I enjoyed the pool, it was nice and clean and very refreshing. The Cape Harbor I liked that it was not that far from the Washington Street Mall. It's a very nice bike ride to the mall, and it is walkable from the hotel as well. When going to the beach it's a little too far to walk with beach gear, and you would need to drive to the beach. I would stay at The Cape harbor Hotel

Our family tries to make yearly trips to Cape May. We've always struggled finding a place suitable for our children (they have special needs) and somewhere adultish. We've finally found the place. Located walking distance to the beach & a very short drive to the beautiful Street Mall. Cape Harbor is truly our go to now when were visiting Wildwood or Cape May

Cape May is an expensive place. This motel is no exception, even though it is in a non-commercial, non-beach neighborhood. However, it has a huge pool and several pleasant amenities. The rooms are no-frills and a bit shabby due to age. For this price, there shouldn't be a stained carpet badly in need of cleaning and a bare patch on the bathroom wall. Ice is free. There is a full-size coffee brewer in the room, but only 1 regular and 1 decaf coffee packet. Bed pillows are mostly insubstantial.
Everything is in walking distance in Cape May and parking meters are also expensive (bring a TON of quarters

Nice place for the price. Was not expecting much for the location but chose it over others because of it’s customer service compared to others and cleanliness. Was greeted very well, very friendly service and provided points of where to go and areas to not miss. Room was simple yet clean and bed was Comfy! Stayed for one nite midweek July 2021

Friendly little hotel midway between the beaches and the marina/Coast Guard Station. Rooms are clean and well cared for despite being an older property. Jamie at the front desk was incredibly helpful with places to eat, things to do, etc. If you're looking to save a little money but still experience Cape May, the Cape Harbor Motor Inn is a good option!

I don't know why it shows 4 and a half stars when I google this inn!??!!!
I just stayed there last Sat. Night!!!!!! And it was awful!!!
Bed was ok! Standard room is so so so small!
Room is smelly! Very smelly! I couldn't sleep well because of that!
It seems the AC is too dirty and dusty, both myself and my husband got allergy! Like I got itchy rash on my face! My husband kept sneezing!!!!!
Wifi is a joke! !
Very thin wall! So u could hear the other people 's talk if they were talking outside!
Oh, plus, the bathroom is dirty! The toilet has yellow stain which is so discusting!!!

My major complaint with this motel is that I was charged for two nights, even though I only stayed one night. The proprietor, Mary, told me they had a two night minimum. Yes, the very small room was clean and comfortable, but when you factor in that I paid double the price for the value I received, I could've stayed in a more luxurious place, closer to the beach. There were no amenities and when I requested a cot for the room, I was told that they do not have any. The 2-night policy is a rip-off, not even sure if it's legal to charge for services not received. It takes advantage of consumers

For the price, you get what you pay for, right? My kids loved the pool but my wife and I found that it was in much need of a good skimming. At one point, I found a clump of hair wrapped around my hand while wading in the pool mid day. There were all kinds of dead bugs floating about and that remained comsistent for the 3 days we stayed.
While the room was clean, inexpensive and quaint, we found there was zero comfort. The beds were hard, pillows stiff and to sit and watch TV in the other room, forget about it. We had a kitchenette in the room, which was helpful for boiling water for tea and

My husband and I stayed at this motel because we needed a place to stay at the last minute. Since it was July, any rooms we might find in Cape May would be crazy expensive. The Cape Harbor Motor Inn is extremely reasonable compared to other places in the area during the summer.
We arrived at the motel around 9:30 in the evening and had a little trouble locating anyone to check us in. Finally my husband banged really hard on the office door and a man came running around from the back of the motel to give us our key. He was very friendly but it seemed strange that it was so hard to get someone

Like Mary S. indicates, a last resort option.
I'll list the positives first:
Room was clean.
Mary, at the front desk was really sweet and made every effort to be helpful.
First of all, I should mention that the motel is a good 10+ LONG blocks to the beach, and if you want free parking, you have to park at least 3-5 blocks from the beach. It's also a good mile- maybe mile and a half to Washington Street Mall or the strip of beach-front restaurants. We rented bikes ($25/each for 2 1/2 days at Shields), as they do have a bike rack at the motel, and CM is an excellent biking town, but
