Kathleen Blanchette, oldest daughter of Tim and Ann Burgman, founders of Woodlawn Funeral Home, just became a fully licensed funeral director, continuing in the family tradition. Kathleen is pictured with her granddaughter, Emery (8/30/2021). Woodlawn is a full service facility and offers direct cremation with free scattering in Deer Creek Scattering Garden (located near the Memory Wall).

In Deer Creek Cremation Garden, your family can choose the natural setting where you would like to inurn your loved one. There are urn burial places near the pathway, beside trees, next to the creek, and near our natural rock waterfall.

Tim is the owner and funeral director of Woodlawn Funeral Home and is the visionary behind the beautiful building and grounds of the cemetery. He was part of the 2nd generation of a funeral family and had been a funeral director his entire adult life. Tim had a passion for engineering and built Woodlawn Cemetery from the ground up, starting in 1976 when the cemetery was first dedicated.
What truly makes this 25,000 square foot facility unique is the thought, care, and creativity put into the building. Regardless of our unpredictable northwest weather, family can gather in comfort to remember a loved one enshrined in one of our elegant niches. Our reception area is 1,000 square feet and can accommodate groups of up to 100 people easily.
When pre-planning a funeral, all of your thoughts and wishes are planned for. Your family will know what you want, and not what they think you want. At Woodlawn Funeral Home, we'll help you put it in writing. Writing it down will help avoid family disputes, or involvement by others that may not know what your wishes are.
Since many families today are interested in cremation as their choice for final disposition, we have enhanced our cremation services to offer you more commemorative options. The funeral service, and the interment of cremated remains, can help family members begin to accept the fact that a death has occurred, and can also help initiate the healing process.
Among all of our staff members, we have a great appreciation for our active duty and retired military. It is our honor to serve veterans' families in their times of need. Burial Flag: The VA furnishes an American flag that can be draped over an eligible Veteran's casket or folded for a memorial service.
