My partner and I had an impromptu date night and were looking for something local AND delicious. We certainly found it!
The ambiance at Cucina Venti is incredible. You feel like you've traveled to a bistro in Italy itself. The staff were all remarkably attentive and answered any questions about the menu. We dined on a Sunday evening and were promptly seated despite not having a reservation.
For our meal, we ordered two cocktails, a Caesar salad, the seared scallops, and grilled lamb chops. The cocktails and the lamb chops were the highlights for us!

Mario was my waiter, absolutely amazing ! His attention to detail is superb! I felt like a queen with his treatment ! The appetizer bread was addictingly good! Pipping fresh from the oven ! You can't stop eating it! Ambience is chic with a touch of romantic and modern sophistication . Would definitely come back . Oh and the fresh flower arrangements displayed through out the restaurant is simply breath taking

Was looking for an Italian joint to satisfy craving for pasta. Found this restaurant in trip advisor. Prompt service. Bread served before meal was very good. Ordered mussels for starters, too fishy for my liking. Could do with more herbs. Mushroom ravioli was average. Did not want to waste the bread so asked for box. Surprised that I was given a fresh serving of 5 more slices! Amazing service. Redeemed everything. Thanks!

Wow! We were on our way back to Carmel from SF and drove through Mountain View. We were celebrating our son's 22nd birthday and as soon as we walked in, John, the manager greeted us and immediately engaged with and served us.
Great atmosphere, amazing food and incredible drinks!

Very good Italian restaurant. The octopus appetizer is amazing. So is the calamari. I had the seafood paella and it was delicious. Finally I had a creme brulee for dessert and it was also very good.
The paella could be a little larger as I felt relatively hungry after two shared appetizers and a dessert. Overall I recommend and will likely return as soon as possible!

Whenever I drive on shoreline, I always see this restaurant and have been wanting to try it. Finally got the chance last night and everything was delicious!
We were seated outside in the patio surrounded by heat lamps. Only drawback was the lighting, the chandeliers didn't work so it was very hard to see the menu.
We started off with the grilled octopus and it was my favorite. I thought this starter was better than my main course which was the Linguine Pescatore. The octopus was super tender, the sauce was amazing. I wish I can just lick the entire plate. Meanwhile my pasta was just ok.

Overall, I think I'm glad to have found this restaurant to try.
Starting with the atmosphere, the restaurant is very well decorated. There is an indoor seating area and also outdoor with heaters. I think it's a great place to take your SO for a date or a nice brunch out.
As for food, the calamari is very tender which I recommend. However for pastas, they were very oily and saucy rather than creamy and thick which we prefer. So it all comes down to personal preference!

We ate lunch here for the first time and we had a great experience!
We ordered grilled salmon, ribeye and seafood paella. Everyone really enjoyed their choices. Sorry no pictures but believe me it was just as pleasing to the eye than to the palate!
Although, there were probably 12 other tables being occupied,the table service was quick and attentive. There were more al fresco tables in the back compared to the front of the restaurant.

A hidden spot in shoreline for sure. A friend made a reservation here before a concert and this location did not disappoint. Pricing is fair, portions are mediumish, and parking is shared with the Starbucks next door. Staff is friendly and they checked on us often but managed to forget our drinks every now and then.

3.5 I'd say. Nice for a night out since the ambiance works well. Service was helpful with any questions that we had, but water refills were very infrequent and getting the check was rough. Noise level wasn't too bad despite the place being full.

The restaurant ambiance and set up is really nice. It is very clean and classy.
We had a reservation and the whole check in was smooth.
The food we ordered were:
Grilled octopus
Sausage & honey flatbread
Margherita flatbread
Whole Branzino
Grilled lamb chops
Linguine Pescadores
Everything came out well and the taste was good. Our favorite was the sausage & honey flatbread and the grilled lambchops. The food taste here is not exceptional to the point that it would make me return.

I was able to efficiently make a reservation through Yelp and they called and confirmed it on the day of. Although we arrived 10min before our reservation, we were able to be seated immediately and the table was already all set up for us. The staff is super attentive and turned on the heat lamps for us since it was a windy night.

Extremely rich flavors and quality food. The indoor ambience has rustic touch and it’s quite romantic, the chandeliers adds up to the beauty of indoor vibe. Meet friends for a fabulous lunch at Cucuna Venti. The restaurant is (I am told) recently Richard and I thing the result is stunning. The outdoor dining area was lovely and perfect for these covid times.
Perhaps my impression of the restaurant is affected by my joy at getting back together with old friends, but I thought it was a perfect dining experience. My pesto tortellini was absolutely delicious. My wife's seared sea bass was beautiful to look at and (I am informed) delicious. Even the beer salad was good and I normally despise beets.

Love this restaurant!!! when you look at the place, it looks really simple and small, but when you actually enter, it is so pretty and looks very fancy and elegant!!! the outdoor dining is towards the back of the restaurant and is amazing. there are umbrellas and coverings so the sun won’t hit you, and the tables are very clean and nice. the staff is super nice and helpful and they keep on checking on you to see how you are doing. the food arrives very quickly compared to other places and is delicious!!!! the pesto tortellini is one of the best pastas i’ve ever had and the tiramisu is bomb
