Julian always wanted to have his own restaurant. Decades ago, El Caminito in Sunnyvale, CA, became that dream come true. Today, he is still the owner, but he's known to his biggest fans as just Julian - the guy that always does something special for them when they come in to dine. Julian works the restaurant just about every day.
You'll find him doing everything from bussing tables, taking reservations, greeting guests and serving his mouthwatering entrees to guests. His love for his restaurant and authentic Mexican food is evident by the growth of his restaurant. There are locals that write reviews stating they won't eat anywhere else for Mexican food.

When your first impression of a restaurant is how sticky the floors are that's never a good sign. Ate outside and ordered the Enchiladas Supremas, which are described as two cheese enchiladas topped with green chile strips, Spanish sauce and more cheese. There were literally two small strips of green chiles and if there was Spanish sauce I couldn't taste it. If you don't mind a mouthful of bland cheese then these are for you! Also took awhile for anyone to notice we were standing ready to order but once they finally did they were attentive.

I walked into this restaurant to get some lunch as I was running some errands in the area. I ordered the first veg things I saw on their menu: a burrito and a quesadilla along with extra rice and beans. I ordered takeout and got the food pretty quickly. I was super disappointed to find a soggy mess in the name of a burrito. The cheese in the quesadilla tasted old too.

Pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff. Great portions and quality for the prices. Some outdoor seating is available, but limited. Masks are not required for dine-in once seated, tables are spread out to respect social distance guidelines. Take out options are also available for those not comfortable dining in yet. Love this place.

Heard many good things about this restaurant, so I went to check it out.
But it wasn't as good as everyone said.
First off I went between the lunch and dinner hours, so it wasn't busy, 2 other tables besides myself and one of those already had food. The waitress was slow to get me water and take my order. Being it was afternoon snack time I got the sampler appitizer and refried beans (frijoles).
The ap had chicken wing drumettes, both chicken and beef taquitos, quesadillas, smashed avocados (aguacate) and sour cream. Very tasty. But the best thing was the frijoles. Made with pinto beans, which
