Stopped in for lunch prior to exploring the museum. The trout and chips ( I subbed game stew) was the best fish I have eaten in years. I didn't expect quality at this level in a museum restaurant. The stew was rich and hearty, packed with meat and extremely satisfying. This is worth a visit with amazing views of the elk reserve.

What a hidden gem! This restaurant was one of the highlights of our trip. Truly; the members of our party (some of whom had been traveling for 2 weeks) agreed that this was the overall best culinary experience over that time. Every dish we ordered was beautifully presented and delicious. We especially loved the Bloody Mary, homemade chips and dip, mushroom soup, Palete salad, and lemon dessert. The prices were quite reasonable for the area. The staff was gracious and attentive. The scenery was breathtaking. The restaurant blends very well with the unique experience offered by the museum and its

Had our wedding reception at Palate this year and we loved the atmosphere and hospitality we received during it. Wendy and Betsy were awesome to work with and the tour of the museum by Wendy was so educational and lovely. Wendy went above and beyond getting my nieces and nephews involved and entertained during the entire reception!!

Love all of their salads. The soup seemed to impress many folks there. But can’t wait to try more items.

Went here in July 2021. The view from the outside terrace is spectacular, and my group was lucky enough to get the last available outdoor table. Our server had moved from Turkey to Jackson Hole, and he gave us plenty of great recommendations about the menu and about other activities in the area. The menu is.....incredible. I ordered the Bison Gyro, and another person in our group ordered the Grilled Cheese. I was slightly underwhelmed by the Gyro, but by no means was it bad. It just wasn't as good as the grilled cheese with the Jus sauce, which I was able to try and testify that it is wonderful

The hostess was indifferent and and unaccommodating.

We waited a while for the hostess to even acknowledge us standing by the entrance.
Even though there were plenty of open tables, the hostess said the wait would be 15-20 minutes...what?!
When we questioned her why, she said she just seated seven tables so she needs to "space out" the people coming as to not overwhelm the kitchen staff.
Sounds like BS to me! How about seating the patrons, bring drinks, and explain the food would take a little longer than usual? If the kitchen can't handle the capacity, then reduce the seating

This was such a gem! I landed in Jackson around 11am and didn't know where to eat lunch. I looked at yelp and saw this was on the way to our air bnb. This is set is due the museum and this is a gorgeous spot for lunch! We walked in, the museum requires a temperature check and masks were required. We were seated immediately, we chose to sit outside and it was perfect. The customer service was friendly and attentive. We had drinks and lunch varying of the bison, salad, fish and chips. It was the perfect beginning of the trip and I would 100% return here.

So, the food was great. Interesting combinations, much better than what we had expected. Loved the caramelized onion grilled cheese. However, the service was terrible. It took at least fifteen minutes between contacts with a server, and we almost perished from a lack of water. Eventually, the server told us it was because a large group had come in. Maybe it's usually better but I would caution you not to go when you are super hungry . . .

We got there when the kitchen was cleaning up, but they served us. The Elk Gyros were very good. I never would have thought that Babaganoush would go with everything else, but it did. And The Rungius Sesquicentennial in the Museum was incredible!
