I have been working with Dr. Paulen as an Insurance and Hygiene Coordinator since 2005. I also share the office administration duties with friend and coworker Karen. I enjoy making patients feel right at home, I am one of the first persons you would speak to when calling the office, and one of the first persons you would see when arriving.

Dr. Brenda Paulen, D.M.D., is a native Atlantan and, as a second-generation dentist, she comes from a family dedicated to dentistry. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Emory University and her Doctorate of Dentistry from the University of Pennsylvania in 1984.
Trained in both restorative and cosmetic dentistry, Dr. Paulen has attended an extensive array of continuing education courses to remain current with the recent advances in dental treatment techniques and technology.This includes courses covering advanced endodontics (root canal treatments), dental implant restorations, and a special concentration of over 100 hours on treating occlusal (bite) conditions.

Never in my life have I ever been exited to go to the dentist until I became a patient at Dr. Paulen’s office. It’s the best experience i’ve ever had in my life that I have even decided to go to Dental Assisting School!! The services they provide is like no other, the entire team always makes sure you always understand all your procedures. I came in for the gum depigmentation procedure and was highly satisfied with my experience and the results! Their customer service was the best I’ve encountered. I walked in a bit nervous for my appointment however Christine, Dr. Paulen, and Dr. Claudy were extremely friendly and welcoming. Dr. Paulen and her assistant Dr. Claudy were knowledgeable and communicative and they provided me with best experience possible easing my nerves. They consistently made sure I was comfortable. The procedure was quick and painless and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the results! Proud

Let me start with saying I believe this place is covered and everyone here is an angel. Very bad experience. They tell you that you HAVE TO pay a $100 of deposit that goes “towards” the procedure and THEN after you sign and FINISH they actually tell you that the $100 was for the “visit, x-rays, etc”. Meaning you PAY $100 as soon as you step in their office. NEVER coming back again. They don’t know how to communicate with their clients and a simple apology will not bring my money back. Besides, as soon as I arrived there they told me what they would do because I had already informed, I paid $290 for the procedure and there was no valuation or x-rays or nothing similar. But

The staff is friendly, knowledgable, and patient. They were very empathetic of my anxiety and did everything they could for me to be comfortable. Had a wonderful consultation today with Dr.Paulen her office took great safety precautions from the time I waked in until the time I left. Please go elsewhere.this woman is not what i expected from a dentist of her supposed caliber . i had to go elsewhere,as a matter of fact,i had to go to 5 different dentists for one could help me for the damage she and her staff had created. she did it on purpose and damaged my great teeth. i'm in good hands now go elsewhere. trust me

The best ever, pain free and comfortable, does all kinds of work! She has saved my teeth ravaged by the side effects of taking meds for chronic pain. As bad as it is to always have dry mouth, it never occurred to me that it causes cavities even though I floss and brush twice daily! If not for Dr. B. Paulen, I probably would have no teeth left! The procedures are painless and usually fun spending time visiting with all my friends that work there. And you're welcome to a free cup of tea!

Dr Paulen and her staff are awesome. She is my first dentist in the Atlanta area. I came to her first and retain her as the dentist for my husband and myself. The staff make it easy to feel at ease at every appointment. The appointments are always kept on time with reminders via text and email. They are very much flexible with the schedule and with the payment plan. I definitely recommend Dr Paulen as the dentist for the whole family.

Dr. Paulen has a very nice office . She, as well as her staff , are very professional and personable . My first patient visit with them was very thorough and unlike any I have ever had elsewhere . She talked me through everything and made sure I had an understanding of what was going on and why . Prior to rendering any services I was made aware of my plan of care , how much it would cost and my options for payment . I have been with this dental office for a few years now and it was the best decision I have made. I came here first out of convenience and then I just fell in love with the staff. Jasmine, is my hygienist and she is amazing, friendly, knowledgable and just so pleasant to be around. Dr. Pauline is patient and also extremely knowledgable. She takes the time to inform and confront the issues you may have but is the best dentist I've seen in years. AMAZING STAFF! So sweet and kind, very informative and knowledgeable. I was so scared to have any work done, and Dr. Paulen dis everything she could to make it easier for me- even put on soothing music through noise canceling headphones so I couldn't hear the drill. And since then, I've had no pain in that tooth, and can't even tell the work was ever done. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area!

This was the worst experience in my life. I was fooled by the reviews, and went for a consultation. She said that a tooth that was not hurting needed a root canal. I trusted her and said ok go ahead. After the root canal, the tooth started hurting so bad, that no pain medication worked. I had to take 2 weeks off of work and suffered extreme pain, because Dr Paulen said that pain is normal right after a root canal. I went again so she can see what happened, re-did the root canal and said that it should be good. Oh no it wasnt. After the second root canal on the same tooth, I was in more pain than

I flew into Atlanta because mom needed extensive dental work. I was so impressed when she took me to meet Dr. Paulen and her staff. They were amazing and made mom so comfortable. They even gave me a gift certificate to get my nails done next door ~ what a treat. I could not be happier. Mom had no pain and we were out on the town the next night ~ Thank you Dr. Paulen!
