Green City Dental provides minimally invasive, holistic dental care for the whole family in the north Seattle Metro area. Our office is fluoride-free, mercury-free and mercury-safe. They charged me 100$ for a checkup regarding a faulty tooth implant they installed in the first place. On top of that they referred me to another specialist. So the appointment was pointless because they could have told me on the phone they don't have a periodontist and a given referrals without me having to come in and pay 100$ to tell me what I already know. I was looking for holistic dentist for root canal extract and mercury removal to be in line with my holistic cancer treatment. Green City/Dr. Taylor was recommended by my local fB groups. My experience with them has been nothing but great. Dr. Taylor understands very well on Gerson Therapy and all their procedures are inline with Gerson approach. Mercury filling removal was smooth. They push the care that is profitable - not the care you need. Prepare for information overload with little to back it up when you ask (an effective marketing approach which assumes you won't stop to question and do your own research). Within 5 min Dr Taylor recommended an unnecessary surgery, and an unnecessary extraction because she cannot read a CT - but doesn't let that stop her from trying, and straying way outside her lane. Thank god I got 2nd and 3rd opinions. Complete waste of money, except for the hygienist cleaning which was apt.

Dr. Tylor and her team are amazing. I had many old amalgam fillings and it was very hard to find somebody who is aware of the risks when taking them out. The team is fully aware of how to tread it safely and with care. Needless to say that I love there preventive care where I regularly come every half a year. They have very special lady that does special cleaning and knows every detail of it so if you ask her, she will be very passionate about telling you what is the best for your teeth. Green City Dental has been a totally different dental experience for me. For the first time, a practitioner looked at the reason for my TMJ discomfort which is an overbite. I am now wearing an appliance to correct this. Not a simple night guard, an appliance that will realign my mandible to my maxilla. My positive experiences have not diminished since my first visit. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating and the office space itself is warm and relaxing. I like Green City Dental, and it's different than the type of dentistry that I was familiar with as a kid. A lot of dentistry is storytelling: it's about helping a person have reasons for why the "little white organs" (teeth), tongue, and "mouth structure" they sit in, together, are doing the things they're doing. My kids and I have been seeing this dentist for 5+ years- from very early on in the practice. I was drawn to the natural dentistry approach and drove from out of town to see this dentist. From the beginning the office filed claims with my insurance, and preventative care was covered at 100%. I so wanted to like them with the holistic vibe but have been burned (literally and figuratively) twice now and cannot recommend. In 2014 I went in for a crown replacement. The dental assistant proceeded to burn herself and me while putting on the temporary crown. (I didn't know I was burned until the Novocain wore off when I got home.) I knew I wanted to try holistic dentistry and found Green City Dental that was near me. They were a fairly new practice when I started coming to this office (Edmonds). I pay out of pocket (no insurance) so I really appreciate their membership club that discounts not only the cleanings and exams, but discounts their cutting edge and natural toothpastes and other products. I love how they look at your plaque under a dark field microscope at each cleaning and you can see for yourself the types of bacteria residing in your mouth, both good and bad. Summary: I think they do good basic dentistry but they don't take care of the logistics around their patients, and they don't communicate well or hold to agreements they have made around insurance, payments, and appointments. I don't want to tell you how much I love Green City Dental because I don't want you to go there because I want to hog Dr. Taylor for myself and my family. I first discovered Dr. Taylor when I was searching for a solution other than "fill and drill" for some troublesome problems for my Toddler.
