Hello, my name is Karen. With over 15 years of dental experience, I have a lot of knowledge on the administrative side of dentistry. I am also a registered dental assistant and enjoy helping in the back when I am needed. In my spare time, I love cooking, knitting, sewing, gardening and being active.

Rinse gently with Chlorhexidine 0.12% mouthwash for 30 seconds, three times per day and let it fall into the sink. Do not spit. AVOID THE SURGICAL SITES until given specific brushing instructions at your post-operative visit. AVOID peroxide, alcohol, spitting, and drinking through the straw until you are instructed to do so at a following post-operative visit.
A dental bridge is a non-removable fixed prosthetic appliance that can replace your missing teeth. Our dentist in Edmonds will discuss which type of bridge will work for your particular case. Fixed bridges are usually made of porcelain fused to metal, which has two crowns that go over two abutment teeth and they're attached to artificial teeth in order to fill the space.

As a person with a history of trauma and severe dental anxiety, this office was not the one for me. The final straw was Dr. Mahoney's frustrated remarks of "why don't you trust me!?! I would have thought you'd trust me by now!" And "I've never had a patient react as poorly as you" after I suffered yet another panic attack while in her care. It is quite clear that although she claims to be great with patients with dental anxiety, she has little to no training with respect to trauma informed care.

I had to switch Dentists due to change in insurance so I was a little nervous considering I’d been with the same dentist for so long but was so impressed with Theresa from the beginning over the phone, she was so kind and helpful. Nice, clean office, Theresa and Karen were very welcoming. Tanya and Dr. Mahoney were great! Highly recommend!

Live close and researched for a new dentist to replace my old one of on the east side. Positive reviews on site led me to change to this dentist with my wife. We have been there a year now and Dr. Mahoney is awesome. The ladies cleaning are very gentle and caring. Dr. Mahoney is very personal. With Covid-19 they have implemented solid PPE and make sure everyone is safe. Highly recommend especially if dentist usually scare you like my wife. She is very relaxed going here.

I’m terrified of the dentist, but I’ve trusted Dr. Mahoney with the majority of my dental procedures. The hygienists have all been gentle, thorough and friendly, the front office is great, always on top of appointment reminders and clear about payment options. Dr. Mahoney herself is fantastically skilled and warm (especially when I’m freaking out about every minor dental detail). I couldn’t recommend this office more.

Wow! Great experience. I first walked in and checked in. Went to the restroom and it was immaculate! Very clean and tidy and welcoming. Went to the lobby and snacks and refreshments were available and very tasty. Office layout was fantastic. There was even a TV I could watch while I was receiving my cleaning. Staff was amazing! Very friendly and very informative. Almost 40 years old and still learning tips and tricks I wish I had known long ago. I will be coming back and glad to have found my dental team. Thanks Mahoney’s.

I needed crowns on my front teeth and was SO nervous! Not only is this a big procedure, but it can totally change things aesthetically! Dr. Mahoney was so patient and took my concerns seriously. She made sure I was totally happy with the look and feel of my new crowns. Dr Mahoney and her staff are so nice and make you feel completely at ease! I'm one who gets anxiety even with a simple cleaning, but here I felt totally comfortable. I highly recommend Mahoney Family Dentistry!

Rachel was very friendly and Dr. Mahoney was very good at anticipating my needs for my next visit, which i appreciated very much. It was very nice that everyone was aware of my discomfort and did everything they could to make sure I would be comfortable until and during my next appointment during which I will be having a root canal. The staff did a wonderful job at making a scary procedure as easy and comfortable as possible for me!
