Kids usually gravitate towards the martial arts because it is fast-paced and exciting. However, both children and parents alike can benefit from more power, more confidence, and better health, thanks to the martial arts. Master Karen Bowman, our owner, is a 7th Degree Black Belt in ITF and a 4th Degree Black Belt in Kukkiwon (and a local mom) who has been teaching for 19 years.

Services
Little Dragons learn movement, coordination, basic taekwondo (blocks, punches and kicks) and values (courtesy and perseverance). Our beginner students learn open-hand forms and certain one-steps that include kicks, strikes and blocks. One-steps are a simplified form of attack and defense designed to prepare the student for actual light-contact point sparring.
Bowman Martial Arts in Folsom, CA is offering a referral program for new signups. Any current student referring a new student will receive credit towards their next testing fee. In honor of Mother's Day, Bowman Martial Arts would like moms to try an entire month's worth of classes for FREE! Be sure to bring a water bottle and wear something comfortable.

The Pacific Five Star Tournament Circuit was created by several martial art schools with the goal of bringing students together to compete and put their martial art skills into practical use. The Tournament Circuit is based on the true spirit and traditional values of the martial arts, and has been created to offer a safe and positive competition experience for everyone involved.

What an amazing experience it has been! Mr & Mrs Bowman and all their senior students are truly wonderful instructors. I saw a drastic change in my son - not only he quickly learnt the Taekawando forms, but he is now more focused, talkative, open and confident. Highly recommended if you are looking for any martial art classes for your kids.

This has been a fantastic studio for my son and I to both work together and separately (my son started first). The staff (red collars and junior leaders) have had a very positive influence on my son and he has a great time while learning a physical activity and important social interactions. He has even had the opportunity to become a junior leader with the desire to do his part to help others. Additionally I really appreciate the effort Mrs. Bowman and her staff provide to bring out the best in every student. Even the other studios in the region that the Bowman's have partnered with,

They are really great with kids. My daughter has attention issues, and they are very patient, while expecting the kids to try hard. They make it fun for kids and make people feel good about being there. But they are also strict enough that they teach kids to focus. I'm really glad we brought our daughter here for classes. I'm considering looking into them for myself. Thank you, Bowman Martial Arts!

There is a yelp review about Bowman Martial Arts and it's owner/instructor Karen Bowman by yelp reviewer "Kelly K". She gives this place one star and her description could not be any more accurate. Karen Bowman stresses out and ends up showing no self control toward the kids. It's uncomfortable to watch her yell at someone else's child and it's just a matter of time before it's your child's turn. Once that happens parents just pull their kids and quit. That is most likely why "Kathy K" stayed with this place for 7 months as the owner states. The

This is a great studio and training for kids who want to get the exposure, instruction, and confidence that Tai Kwon Do can provide. My two oldest kids worked very hard here and achieved the level of 2nd Degree Black Belt.
We were very pleased with the owners, Karen and Bob Bowman. They were dedicated to our kids, knowledgeable, and great role models.
The tournaments were positive and the Bowman Students did well. It is a part of a larger group called Pacific 5 Star, which includes other studios around the area.
There is an opportunity for leadership as the more advanced students are expected

We really took our time looking for a good karate/tae Kwan do place for our son. The main instructors are a married couple that are very nice and do a great job. The really encourage the kids but are tough when they need to be. Our son lives it!
