Paid $500 to have va property appraised, they appraised and assigned a value then scuttled the deal by crossing the line into home inspection. House had a home inspection by reputable home inspector and got clean bill of health. Then these guys decided they knew better and wrote a "subject to". Certified Professional Home Inspectors are required by law to inspect the slabs and foundations and render an opinion as to soundness and note visible defects. An appraiser is certainly not trained as an inspector and should not offer opinions or recommendations on that which they know nothing
