Along with many other homeowners commenting here, I would not recommend buying where CAG manages the property and if you do choose to do so, read your home owners policy very carefully as there are many things that you would assume would be covered that they will not cover.
Example: 2 winters ago (we had a couple of -26 degree days) our waterlines froze. I called our association contact (AC) about getting a plumber out to fix it. The response I got was AC: "Are all of the connecting units froze as well?" Me: No, it appears to be mine and my neighbor right next to me. Everyone else seems to be

New to life with an HOA, it has been very easy for me to get the help I need from Community Association Group.
Donny, Emily, and the rest of the staff are responsive and very helpful, providing both answers and solutions with repairs, available services and property upkeep. They are proactive in their communication and have my needs and the value of my home in mind when managing the property.

The Community Association Group ( CAG ) has worked with the Hennepin Village since inception 15 years ago. The group's work has been marked by adherence to the rules of the development, a high level of service to residents, prompt responses to inquiries as well as the employment of quality professionals to maintain lawns, trim trees and remove snow. Because of the Community Association's successful management, the unique character of Hennepin Village has been preserved and enhanced.
A careful reading of the governing rules of the Hennepin Village Master Association specifies the responsibilities

Having served on the board of an association managed by CAG, I was shocked to see a recent WCCO news report claiming that some homeowners had been saddled with bills of $12,000 or more for roof repairs. How was that even possible when owners carry HO-6 insurance that pays for any amount not covered by the association’s policy. While watching the clip a second time, I heard the reporter say that others had paid their share with insurance. Then I realized that the only way some owners would be stuck paying out of pocket was because they didn’t get the recommended insurance coverage that would

CAG is going to be in the news soon. They've gotten away with years of unethical and unprofessional business practices but karma is catching up to them fast. They are losing customers in droves, many properties under their so-called "management" are moving to other, and better, property management companies.
Minnesota Attorney General, Plymouth city council, and Eden Prairie city council are actively investigating them. Run away from these crooks, the good news is they most likely won't be in business very long.

CAG dictates everyone including the board. They appoint a puppet board since not many residents interested in board positions and took advantage of this situation. CTH is an example that it has a puppet board that agreed for CAG to get 10% of commission for unnecessary roof replacement where authorized roof management company indicated and inspected that it was not necessary to replace the roof due 08/09/2020 hail damage. Hail was less than 0.5 inch to make damage and typically roofs will be replaced if it was hit by 2 inches or more. They might have benefited financially from puppet board, insurance

I am a homeowner in a development that they "manage". They helped advised the board to file a claim for roof damage for all the roofs in our townhome development and not all the roofs were damaged. This cost homeowners thousands of dollars. In addition, the grounds have been POORLY kept, the maintenance has been very bad, rock missing, grass ruined by the snow removal people and not replaced or fixed well. I would not recommend them as an association management company ever. Clearly, there has to be a better choice out there.

Caused Hennepin Village enormous harm through their poor communication and lack of transparency. Community Association Group has been extremely disrespectful and dismissive to our community concerns. They have also demonstrated a lack of trust throughout our insurance claim process. I strongly recommend any community avoid dealing with Community Association Group. In the Twin City network of property management companies, CAG has the worst reputation. Even realtors have told communities to steer clear of them. Please do not deal with these people.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Value
Worst Management & Worst Service is the real headline for this company. This company only cares about draining money out of your association instead of helping homeowners navigate issues and working for their benefit. They will drain your association funds. Unbelievably rude when homeowners raise concerns. Avoid at all costs.

CAG should be renamed to ‘crooks at gate’, this is the worst management company, who works with one and only one motive, which is to make your community deprive of funds and revenue. This company does not know how to manage finances, how to cater to people’s problems or issues pertaining to the community. Their service contractors are not professional or efficient with their work. They charge and make money like anything. They are not for the community but only to make money. Please stay away from this company if you want to have peace and harmony in your community.
