Our daughter Ishi is in her 3rd year at Carlisle and we see her growing into a responsible, conscious and a confident young girl. We moved from India where Ishi was attending a Montessori school and we wanted her to continue in Montessori here at Atlanta. We are very fortunate to find Carlisle Montessori here.

For Ms. Ward, Montessori is not only a career, but a lifelong passion and commitment! The success of the two school's Ms. Ward has founded and directed, is attributed to highly trained staff members, hundreds of students who have thrived and blossomed under their devoted direction and the word of mouth from satisfied parents.
Our parents can testify to the quality and attentive care Carlisle Montessori puts into the children's on-going education. Our time at Carlisle Montessori has been wonderful. Over the past three years, we have seen our son grow tremendously both socially and academically. The environment is wonderfully maintained and the teachers are highly engaged.
Over a century ago, Dr. Maria Montessori, the first female physician of Italy, developed a radical educational theory that would forever change notions of learning and the education of young children. Based on her observations and clinical research, Maria Montessori discovered that children learn best while engaged in purposeful "hands on" activity.
It is an educational approach created by Dr. Maria Montessori, an Italian Physician in 1907. The curriculum respects the child's natural development and offers independence and freedom with limits. The curriculum allows for self-construction and spontaneous activity. The classrooms are mixed aged, materials are hands-on, and lessons are individualized and realistic.
We can fill in the blanks with fun activity based Montessori hands on Learning. Learning by doing provides a strong foundation and connects your child personally to the new skill. Led by Gina Ward, AMI Certified Primary Teacher and AMI Dementia / Alzheimer Practitioner.
I am fortunate to have nearly 30 years of Montessori experience as a teacher, Head of school and was one of the inaugural graduates of the AMI Dementia / Alzheimer Practitioner Program.Do you need help with schedules, child size room set up, toileting, bedtime, routines and independence for children?

My granddaughter has been coming here for four years now. She has grown with academics and responsibilities. The staff and teachers are very professional and helpful to the families. They are very nurturing to the children, and still have high expectations for their development. I recommend this school for all families to prepare their children for elementary. The tuition you pay is worth it!
And we love the director Gina. She is passionate about Montessori and children.

In the early years of Montessori it may feel that the child is not learning the usual school stuff (knowing her alphabets, numbers etc) but in the final years of primary program (age 5-6) the child can

My child has attended Carlisle Montessori School for the last 3 academic school years and I have been impressed with the faculty's dedication to my child’s development and the nurturing environment provided. There is an immediate sense of the teachers' passion and the emotional and academic value they place in each student. Becoming a Montessori accredited teacher takes years of study and hands on experience. This same level of focus and commitment and professionalism continues into the classroom. Each interaction with the child or lesson taught is an opportunity to widen a child’s horizon

Carlisle Montessori School truly respects the individual child's development in that specific child's time span. The teachers (guides) as well as the director are authentic Montessori practitioners who care deeply about each and every child and family that they serve. Gina's (the director) door and ears are always open to parents and teachers to voice concern in order to help problem solve.
I was able to witness this as an assistant teacher for four years, which in turn lit a passionate fire for the Montessori method within me. Gina, as well as the other teachers and children at Carlisle Montessori

We didn’t know much about the Montessori approach until we started to research preschools in the area for our 3-year-old daughter last year. When we visited Carlisle Montessori for our first tour, we were absolutely amazed to see such young children calmly, happily, and independently doing so many different things around the classroom.
We chose Carlisle over other Montessori schools in the area because it provides an excellent Montessori education, and because it is set apart by the especially warm and inviting environment of the school. This is the first time our child has been cared for outside

Outstanding AMI-certified education in the Montessori spirit. We have entrusted two of our children to the care of Carlisle Montessori's well qualified and experienced teachers. The kids have grown tremendously in the friendly and caring environment from just under 3 years old to almost 7 years old. And I don't just mean that they grew bigger, they advanced in their academics and as part of the school community. It's a small school, where everyone knows and cares for everyone else.
