Beautiful property and views. Conveniently located and very welcoming staff. It is a Japanese owned hotel so the service is top notch Japanese style. Cleaner staff have great energy and do a fantastic job cleaning the rooms. Restaurants are decent enough. I enjoyed everything except one thing:

A five star hotel should have five star amenities.

I would recommend future guests to take their own bath supplies because the ones there are horrible. I've seen cheaper hotels with Kiehl's products so there is no excuse "Five Star"!!

We went to this establishment and loved the House w/o a key. Came back tonight and due to rain it was cxd. My husband and I tried to go to thei restaurant. They were serving food as we can see. This heavy set Hawaiian lady in lobby came up to us and asked if we were staying at hotel . We said no. She said oh house w/o a key is closed. I said yes I see that. She tried to get us to not go to their hotel restaurant. We looked at menu n left. She continued to stare at us. I have never felt so berated.. I will never got to this establishment again. Why we spend 2k a night at royal Hawaiian!

I have to say - this is a lovely property, but our service has been terrible:
1) 90 minutes poolside to order a really simple snack. Meanwhile other guests are being served. Then told food service is last call when I finally went up to wait staff and demanded an order. We were hungry.
2) Kicked out of seats poolside even though there was no marking of reservation of the seats or use.
3) Dry cleaning left unattended to after calling the front desk twice, filling out their forms, and being left outside of our room.
4) Smallest coffee cups on the planet when we got our $20 coffee service.
5) Nowhere

Our family had our thanksgiving brunch here been coming for the last ten years. Thanksgiving buffet was okay not as great as the previous years probably due to Covid. But what I was most disappointed was when we valet out and we got it back the whole back side of my car was Bombed with bird dodo back window trunk. I couldn't believe they would Return mycar like that no longer a five star hotel. We gave our ticket last from our party and my car was the first one out.

My husband and I came to Halekulani for our honeymoon and we had such a wonderful time. They have 5 star service and made many accommodations for us. They were able to accommodate our religious observances and the staff was very friendly. I would like to recognize the managers that we worked with: Hitomi Toyama, Setsu Nakamura and Leah Woolsey. It was a quiet beautiful oasis on Waikiki. Highly recommend for any religious observers and anyone looking for a classy stay on the beach of Waikiki. Can't wait to come back!

As a Kama'aina, I love to stay at 5 star resorts around the island for a one or two night staycation. I waited until the Halekulani reopened to stay here, but had been on the property a few times pre-covid for some corporate events and had previously dined at every restaurant on property with friends. I'm a younger guest (30 years old) and was questioned multiple times by staff if I was staying at the hotel. I think they are used to boomers here. We stayed here on thanksgiving day/night.

First and only positive experience is that they allowed early check in. We booked one night (Thursday

Such a beautiful property. Quintessential Hawaiin with a modern feel. Upon entering you are greeted with such amazing customer services. Check in/ concierge are gracious as well. The property has an amazing garden knoll right in the middle, simple and gorgeous. With rooms overlooking. Even the garden area that near the beach which may also be a major spot feeding. The design is effortless, clean crisp and perfect.

I believe its been closed for while, covid but just recently opened back up. The orchid restaurant, amazing place for dinner. Overall beautiful and spectacular restaurant without that

This review is going to be only about the hotel room in Halekulani. (Because the property, especially the sunset drink we had siting outside was a great experience) We had debated long before booking this awfully expensive room in a newly renovated H. Because it was our anniversary trip, we decided to splurge beyond our original budget on the room, despite having far cheaper and good options. On entering, we saw that most of the view from our balcony - we had booked an 'oceanfront room', and the picture on the site was grand - was basically concrete roofs, beyond which there was a bit

Would never stay anywhere else when work hails me to Honolulu. I love the North Shore and of course I wish Halekulani was located there...but aside from that.... it's pure Heaven. You will float to cloud nine upon arriving and you will not want to leave. You feel so good here too...something magical in the air. LOVE. It's also very convenient if you are on business on Oahu, as driving over from the North Shore takes an hour at least. So for convenience and pure bliss, this is the best place on Oahu to call your home away from home.

Everything you expect from Hawaii's premier hotel destination extended to your private event. From the properties Island style contemporary elegant ambiance to outstanding food and most importantly, personable, professional, impeccable service from planning through execution, the Halekulani delivers.

The Halekulani is EXPENSIVE - FALSE. The room used for this event, the Garden Terrace, with room for 80 had a minimum food charge of $2.500. Selected customized plated four course menu, $70

It is my pleasure to give this magnificent hotel 5 stars!
It has a gorgeous setting on Waikiki Beach, with a beautiful pool and large patio. In the 70s and 80s, it was a small hotel. Now I think it's the best one in Honolulu!

**But even if you don't stay at the Halekulani, don't miss cocktails and pupus on their beautiful big beach-side patio before sunset. The patio is called a "House Without a Key".
Arrive by 5:00 to get seated. Their cocktails are great!
Pupus (appetizers) are very good too.

This setting is my favorite place to watch the sunset.
They have a Hawaiian

Got married at the Halekūlani courtyard and everything was beautiful and perfect. Our day was a bit hectic (like most weddings). After our wedding ceremony was done and we finished taking pictures, we went to the front desk to check into our hotel room. The staff was extremely friendly. They sent someone with us to check into our room. We literally just had time to drop off our things and head out to our wedding reception. When we got back to our room that evening, they had a bottle of champagne chilling for us and a personalized card! HOW AMAZINGLY KIND!

Hau Terrace- nice event venue at the Halekulani

Nice terrace for evening drinks.

Attended a corporate reception at Hua Terrace. Very nice setting for a pleasant sunset drink. Reception included appetizers such as prime rib and duck. The prime rib was very good. The duck ran out before I had a chance to taste it. Bartenders were polite and other staff member were polite.

I stayed at Halekulani and four other hotels during my trip to Hawaii. The other four were: Luana, Outrigger Reef, Ritz-Carlton, and Aston Waikiki Beach Tower. Halekulani ranks near the top, and it's a very nice hotel, but it's just not the right one for me.

Halekulani is a 5-star hotel, and by reputation one of the best in Honolulu. It's a great resort and a premier event space, but I found the rooms to be underwhelming. I spent most of my time exploring Honolulu, and was too busy to partake in hotel amenities and activities; therefore, my review is focuses mainly on the room

We went here for a wedding and the ceremony and facilities are gorgeous. The food was okay (but I am not a huge meat eater, not sure if you can gauge this solely from me), the salad dressing was good (oriental one). The reason for the 3 stars is, we tried to book a room here months ago, the receptionist let us know that our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids - ages 11,15) would need two rooms because the capacity for regular rooms are 3 people or she suggested we send one of us to stay in the room of a family member with less than 3

The bathrooms were cool but upstairs near the ballroom was only one

After first considering a visit to New York City to celebrate our 30th anniversary, my wife and I decided to go back to where it all began for us: Hawaii. Once we figured that out, I immediately decided to pull out all the stops and treat ourselves to a Diamond Head view room at Halekulani. After 30 years of marital bliss, we earned it -- right? That turned out to be a great decision.

We have been to Halekulani many times before, starting in the 1980s, but always for drinks and food on the patio (the House Without a Key) -- never as a hotel guest. Our 30th anniversary stay was magic from beginning

I attended a wedding on the terrace of this hotel and my oh my it was breathtaking! The view was amazing and we were lucky enough to catch the sunset! We definitely got some gorgeous pictures with gorgeous views in the back! This wedding was beautiful and intimate. The workers were so nice and went out of their way to make everyone comfortable and happy. I definitely would recommend this beautiful hotel for any event.

The bathroom was extremely clean and had heated toilet seats and bidet options! There's a beautiful full length mirror in the bathroom and with the lighting, you can

Lotta hype . Our room was looking straight into our coconut tree… We were in the corner of the building not much of a view… Staff there at the hotel was tremendously attentive… The beds were kind of hard… Had to request a topper for the mattress… The room was fitting with two single beds… Small… Should’ve been at least two full-size beds… Have… eaten at their in-house restaurants a few times … The poolside restaurant was wonderful for breakfast… Lots of great eateries around the corner near the hotel… Always
