Our favorite special place in Lincoln. Always celebrate our anniversary here. Fairly priced,, chef quality meals every single time. Lobster bisque is too die for!

I really want to like this restaurant. It's a charming space and the service is generally quite good. But there is a problem: the lunch portions are really tiny. My wife got a hamburger recently that was about the size of a slider, a few bites' worth, and it wasn't even that good. For the price ($16 for a burger with mushrooms and a side salad), you can't feel you've gotten your money's worth. When I've ordered salmon or steak dish, it's more than an appetizer, but less than a normal platter. This has happened enough times to make me see it as a consistent weakness.

We went for sunday brunch and it was great! They have a soup flight of french onion, lobster bisque, & roasted red pepper. This is something I wish more restaurants would do because I love to taste them all. We started with the soups & truffle fries. The fries came with 3 different dips as well. Delish! For entrees, our party had the mac & cheese with truffle oil & mushrooms (divine), croque monsieur (amazing), & then biscuits & gravy. Definitely recommend!

Feel like making a reservation over a week in advance to celebrate a loved one's big life event at a restaurant that will comfortably seat your group of people with no problems? Well pick somewhere else. This has been the worst customer service experience I've had at a restaurant. Alex, Mr. Manager, I'm talking about you. When I called and asked if I could update my reservation to add one more person the day before, making it 11 people total, I was told that it was impossible because their tables could not sit more than 10 people and if I wanted 11 it would have to be at different tables, that

Great cordon Blu crepe, but the biscuits and gravy was a bit disappointing (carrots in the gravy?) Service was good and cute little spot. Plenty of brunch options to choose from.

THE BEST spot in all of Lincoln for brunch/lunch/dinner. The wait staff is so professional, friendly, and is incredibly knowledgeable on the menu and the food is amazing! I’ve been to restaurants in town that claim to be fine dining but The Green Gateau is really the best there is when it comes to quality and a great price. I definitely recommend getting the table side guacamole for an appetizer! I’d be here every day if I could!

Green Gateau is a bit of iconic institution here in Lincoln. Brunch is always very good and they have many options. I always make sure to have a scone and fresh whipped cream and a preserve with any breakfast. They also have solid mimosa specials. Lunch and dinner are solid but not their strong suit in my opinion. Can be a little overpriced but compared to larger cities, it's good. Solid selection, good service, atmosphere is a bit dated but it's good for what they are going for.

Ginormous potion sizes and amazing food!

Came here for an impromptu dinner with my boyfriend and was really impressed with everything.

We got the Mango Mint Mojito to start off and it was really good. Just the perfect balance of the mango and mint taste. I couldn't even get the alcohol through and could have just had that entire thing in one sip!

They brought us fresh croissants before the meal and oh my gosh! They were so so soft and warm, I just cannot! Definitely recommend having them immediately.

For the main course I ordered the rainbow trout. It was a ginormous fillet of grilled

Hands down one of the best places we've eaten at in Lincoln. I was talked into their beef wellington which was their Saturday night special. I've never had one before but the layers of textures and flavors present were fantastic. My wife and her mother had a mixed grill entree and my father in law had the sirloin. The steaks were fantastic and vegetables were excellent. They don't skimp on portion sizes either, beware asking for a "side salad" if you aren't really hungry. No complaints about the food at all. The table was a little wobbly but that is honestly the only thing I can nit pick on. Our

Visited in late July 2021. Excellent service. Fair prices. I started with the beignet appetizer and it was excellent. I ordered the filet and it was great. It has a laid back/steakhouse type vibe. I would return.

A bit of a wait on Saturday mornings if you do not have a reservation but worth it. Waiter and service was on the slower side but food was worth the wait. We had the salmon croissant special with the potato pancake, eggs Benedict, and a couple carafes for mimosas. All the food was very good with huge portions. Come hungry!

This first visit was not impressive. I came here while visiting family and everyone said how great this spot is. We sat outside, which I don't think I'd do again due to all the traffic noise. Our waiter was nice but rather slow and inattentive. We struggled to get drink refills and our order took a very long time to arrive.

We ordered the beignets as an appetizer and they were fantastic. For my entree, I had the steak and mushrooms. I ordered my steak medium but it was very well done when it arrived and since it took so long to arrive, I didn't bother saying anything or sending

The staff and specifically our waiter was excellent and extremely attentive.

There were several specials when we went and I had the beef Wellington that was served with asparagus and mashed potatoes. It was perfectly cooked!

We had a bottle of Pinot noir that was on special which paired perfectly with my meal and the others in my party had similar things to say.

It isn't cheap but you're not only paying for the quality, the overall atmosphere was very nice as well. You will not be disappointed!

I found this wonderful place a few blocks away from the Marriott Cornhusker Hotel. Ben was attentive and pleasant as my server. I tried a couple of things off the menu that were unique to me. The cordon bleu crepes were delicious. They came with blue cheese potato salad, which was wonderful in itself. The starters menu had beignets. They are more of a dessert and I enjoyed them with the lemon curd.
Overall, the atmosphere is comfortable. The service is great. The prices are, to me, very reasonable. The menu is diverse and has both familiar and creative items to choose from. I will visit

Wow! We will be back! Wonderful service, reasonable prices and beyond delicious! We had the following menus items (rated 0-10, 0 means never order it again and 10 means close to heaven): Coconut Shrimp Lollipops 7, Brussel Sprouts 8.5, Lobster Bisque 9, French Onion Soup 9, Roast Red Pepper Gouda Soup 6, Cobb Salad 8, Blue Cheese Dressing 9, Beef Wellington 8, Seafood Sampler 8.5, Apricot Napoleon Torte 10, Lemon Italian Creme Cake 9.5, Creme Brûlée 2 (sugar on top was too done and ruined the rest). Bottom line it's definitely worth a try. Shout out to our waiter, Ethan! He was so nice,

We went here with my family the next morning after a wedding. We are all from out of town so we mingled a lot and our server never made it seem like we were a problem. (speaking from a past server when tables who sit along time can hurt your day, because you can't turn your table around) He was so kind. I wish I could remember his name ( Ethan I think it was)

The food was amazing. I would definitely try to beignets!

This is sort of The Fancy Place here in Lincoln. Being decidedly low-class, myself, I've only just managed to try it after nearly three years of living here.
Thanks to the times we live in, a lot of places are offering family meal versions of their dishes and they are one of many doing this, but I say with much sadness and disappointment that this is one of the worst versions I've tried. The flavor and concept on the main and the two sides was all there, for sure, but it wasn't a great value at all, and everything was almost inedibly salty plus incredibly tough. My chicken breast

Their ordering system online workout great.
Tried their cordon bleu dish, a salad with grilled veggies, and a delicious lemon dessert. The presentation of the take out was great. The food tasted fresh and delicious. It looked fresh. We walked in and picked up.
