At Countryside Funeral Homes, we listen more than we talk. We believe you know best what type of farewell fits the unique life of your loved one. We are simply here to help guide you as needed. Whether you're seeking a traditional funeral, a memorial service or making pre-need arrangements, we will treat your circumstances with complete empathy and respect.
We also specialize in cremation services. For more than a quarter century, we have described our philosophy as " common sense " funeral service. This means we do not hide our prices; we believe in offering less expensive options, including cremation services; we support our local community by hiring local and buying local; and we support countless organizations and charities because these are our communities, too.

Services
Common sense care and community support are time-honored traditions at Countryside Funeral Homes. It's a story we've been telling our families and friends for five generations. The Jaeger family began a modest undertaking business on Canal Street in Chicago as early as 1858. Please understand, though, that our vision has always been forward with a sincere desire to serve, not backward with nostalgic fondness for the past.
Please call us anytime of the day or night at (630) 289-7575 and we'll provide immediate assistance to you and your loved one. Our funeral directors are on stand-by for situations such as this, and we'll respond to your needs with urgency and care. Call and rest assured that we'll look after everything.
A proud graduate of St. Patrick High School in Chicago and the Mortuary Science and Funeral Service program at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, Marcus is the founder of the Countryside Funeral Homes and Crematory. The title that he most prefers is Funeral Director, for that has been his life's work.
During the final days of Mother's life, she spoke of a strange and vivid dream, in which she foresaw herself laid out at her funeral. She reassured us not to worry, for in the dream she was pleased, and it was peaceful. We wish to convey our utmost appreciation for the wonderful service you provided.
Obituaries act as quiet reminders of the finite nature of our lives. Yet, for those who have recently experienced the death of a family member or friend, an obituary means so much more. It is a bittersweet reminder of all we've lost, but it can also help us to remember all we enjoyed while they were alive.

I cannot say enough about the care, concern and empathy for myself and my family during this extremely hard loss for us. John, Cindy and the rest of the staff at the Countryside Funeral Home in Streamwood went above and beyond to help us create a beautiful and respectful service for our Mother. Thank you all so very much.

We were handled with the utmost respect. Tim was incredibly patient and helpful. All our requests were taken care of . Not a detail was missed. This is how wakes and funerals should be handled. They get it that you're pretty upset and take all the final resting plans onto themselves and you don't have to worry about that part of it whatsoever.
