Short version: Cornerstone let me move into a filthy rental (see photos) that I left in much better condition when I moved out. They tried to keep over half of my security deposit for things that were demonstrably false. I sued them and the judge ruled in my favor. If you have to rent with them, I recommend documenting everything.
Long version: I had the unfortunate luck of renting a home from Cornerstone. When I arrived, there were 14-yard bags worth of leaves, weeds, and trash in the yard, brown stuff floating in the toilet, and nothing was clean. I cleaned everything myself but noted the mess

I would not recommend this company. While the owners are very nice and helpful, and they were great to work with, some of the staff that we interacted with regularly were very difficult to work with. We had countless maintenance issues while renting from them, and it was usually very difficult and took a long time for anything to get fixed. Some of these issues were hazardous and dangerous for our family. When we moved out, they charged us for bills that we had already paid. They also charged us for things we had cleaned, even though when we moved in to the house, it was pretty dirty. Working with

Absolutely terrible and incompetent when something goes wrong at your rental.
Cornerstone’s awful management means a broken stove took over a week to replace - leaving four tenants eating out of a microwave. AC went out in Aug 2021, Cornerstone doesn’t return calls or answer email.
Their employees work with zero urgency.
Go with any other property management company, this place is a dumpster fire.

So I was a tenant for these guys for a year. They jacked up the amount of the security deposit by almost $1000 last minute, which was not ideal but I needed to move closer to work. They almost never communicated anything to me at all and never responded to emails or phone calls. Then I got approved to have a dog that I paid a pet deposit of $350 for and the next week they said they were doing the lease renewal inspection. They didn't show up to do it, never said anything to me despite me trying to contact them and then showed up and taped a non-renewal of lease notice to the door. These people

I moved to Idaho in 1999 and I've done business with hundreds of companies all throughout the Boise area. Linnea at Cornerstone Property Management has the best customer service of them all. I asked a question after-hours on their website and she quickly contacted me with an answer. She processed my paperwork moments after submission and followed up on every issue. She took a normally stressful situation and made it stress-free. If I won the lottery and started a real-estate business I'd steal her away from Cornerstone. Thank you Linnea!

From the first phone conversation until we received the keys, Linnea was a pleasure to work with. She was responsive to all questions/inquiries and when not available the staff at Cornerstone were extremely helpful. The whole application process was made simple and easy for us which was super appreciated since we moved from California. I recommend working with Linnea or anyone else at Cornerstone, they will go above and beyond to take care of you.
