I was super excited to see a Korean restaurant in LB. I just had to try it. The menu looked great and I knew what I was going to order beforehand.

We ordered the braised beef ribs (galbi jjim) with cheese and the kimchi fried rice. It wasn't like WOW but it wasn't bad. I think both dishes had too much soy sauce. It was so over powering that I could barely taste the actual flavors of the dish. I love kimchi fried rice but I couldn't really taste the kimchi in this dish. We were a little disappointed.

The braised beef ribs weren't as tender as I would hope it would be. I

I think they are the best Asian restaurant in downtown Long Beach. They definitely stand out among the plethora of Thai and sushi spots. But that’s like comparing apples and oranges.
As a Korean restaurant, their food is straight up bomb. They have a diverse menu and they can accommodate non meat eaters as well. I wish we had more restaurants like Sura’s in the downtown area.
Also, they play great music!

Vegan Korean food is not easy to come by. I was pleasantly surprised to find how GOOD their vegan dishes were. Flavor is big and bold. Portion is also healthy. Enough to share. The banchan (side dishes) is just as tasty as the main dishes. Come during their happy hour (3:00 pm - 7:00 pm), and you can score some appetizing little nibbles and drinks at even cheaper prices. They have regular Korean dishes that’s not vegan as well.

Finally tried this place. We had their bulgogi, short ribs, scallion pancakes and vegan japche. Everything tasted great including their sides( the seaweeds and mashed potatoes were the best). Bulgogi's sweetness was perfect (not to sweet like some other places). The short ribs was also good although next time I go, I will ask them cook it a little bit well so I can really enjoy the fatty parts of the ribs. Our server asked if we wanted the scallion pancakes (sorry I forgot to take a photo) cooked a bit crispier and we said no. Now I understand as to why she asked, it is because the

This place is delicious! So many vegan/ meat options so really anyone can come and enjoy it. The portions sizes are pretty good to. Both my and my fiancé we're able to come back with left overs. Order the vegan bulgogi beef and the tofu mushroom soup both came with sides of rice and the traditional Korean sides. I also was happy to know the sides that usually come with Korean foods are had vegan options as well as the normal ones which usually contain fish sauce.
It's doesn't have a the table top stove things like other Korean bbq places but this place was still great. I can&apos

Honestly, probably one of my top 5 restaurants in Long Beach. We keep coming back because the food is SO good. We've ordered the Hangover Ramen with pork belly, Kimchi Fried Rice, and Tofu Soup many times and they were consistent each time. The restaurant has sort of a very chill, mom-and-pop vibe and the servers were very friendly too. This is the perfect place to get your Korean food fix or introduce to out-of-town friends!

Wow! I had their meat bulgogi bowl and unfortunately the only thing that packed a lot of flavor was the meat. There are a variety of vegetables included, but somehow this dish was a bit lackluster. The portion sizes are very generous and our waiter was attentive and pleasant.

For what we had, it was pretty average Korean food. If I were to come back, I would try something different on the expansive menu... Our favorite appetizer was the shiitake tempura, which had a mild but savory flavor paired with a sweet mayo sauce.

If there's one thing I can rave about, it's their white rice that

Rating 4.0 TLDR: Very good Korean food with plenty of vegan options in Long Beach. Great service too! Thank you April for phenomenal hospitality. If youre looking for good Korean cuisine, come here. If you're vegan and want to some Korean food, DEFINITELY come here.

NOT TLDR:
My brother is vegan, and he lives near by. Most of the Korean joints were packed due to the BTS concert, and although this was fairly busy, we had no issues being seated. The food was really good, highly underrated, so dont sleep on this place. My brother is vegan, and there is a vibrant vegan community in Long Beach

Tried this place for the first time, and it was my first meal out post surgery recovery...and was it good!

I had the mushroom soup, which is great for mushroom lovers like me. I got it medium spicy (and I can handle spice!) but the medium was hot hot! I'll probably take it down a notch next time. The banchan was really good and refreshing. We also ordered the Chicken Wings, sweet and spicy. They were indeed a bit too sweet for me but had the perfect crunch and amount of sauce. I enjoyed the meal and will defn be back!

Great place for delicious soup that actually fills you up! There's tons of variety from seafood to chicken, with vegan friendly options as well.

We started with the shiitake fries which was a hit. The portion was huge and we enjoyed how meaty each piece was. They were like Shiitake nuggets!

We ordered the Yukgaejang, a spicy shredded brisket soup, and the seafood tofu soup for our entrees. Each item had its own flavorful broth base and included a substantial portion of meat and veggies. I was a little disappointed the tofu soup didn't have noodles but I should've looked closer

My brother happened to be in the Long Beach area so he asked if I was free to grab dinner before he went home. He was in the mood for Korean food, and I was surprised to find a Korean restaurant within the city.

We drove over to Sura Korean BBQ, located downtown. Street parking can be tricky in this area, but Sura has a few spots set aside in a small parking lot behind the restaurant for customers, where I was able to find a spot.

We added our name to the Yelp waitlist (which you can do prior to arrival) and had a brief 10-15 minutes wait before being seated (this was a Friday night).

Vegan Korean BBQ heaven!! Got the vegan tofu buns, kimchi rice, Bibimbap and Thai iced tea. Our waiter recommended a side of vegan jalapeno sauce for our food and it was delicious. Next time I'm trying the ramen. Friendly servers, great ambiance, and fair prices. Will come back again the next time we're in LBC. 🙏🏼❤️

This is their vegan tofu bao
Yummy and colorful! My friends who are vegan claimed they never had a vegan bao they liked until now!

My personal review for the restaurant:
Everytime I visit Long Beach this is where I take all my friends who are meat eaters to vegan. We are all beyond super happy eating such delicious food and we all love electronic so the music is always on point!

Service: 5/5

Ambience: 5/5 - waitlist option to sign up ahead is nice and didn't take long to get a table. Even on a Wednesday night this place was poppin! Luckily they have outdoor seating available and parking spaces in the back are a bonus.

Food: 4/5
Unlimited banchan - say no more
Seafood pancake 3/5 - panfried with a little too much oil in my opinion but still a great plate to share as an appetizer and definitely filling even with one slice!
Chicken Bibimbap 4/5 - delicious crispy rice at the bottom, generous portions of chicken, mushrooms and all the veggies with the perfect fried

I gotta be honest here. Coming from the SGV, this place really disappointed me. The service was great and the servers were friendly and we only had a 10 min wait. But the food quality and taste was just not it. All of our food (except for the soup) was lukewarm at best. We weren't even served side dishes.

The bulgogi nachos 1/5
The chips itself were already soggy and not crispy at all. Maybe a little stale even. The bulgogi on the nachos wasn't even warm. It seemed like it was just tossed on there. They didn't even give a reasonable portion of bulgogi it was like 5 tiny pieces

The Vegan Bulgogi BBQ is really good with the banchan. Each part of the banchan tastes good to me on its own though I think the Bulgogi and rice taste best with any bit of the banchan. I arrive at the restaurant ready to eat. Due to not eating from being busy earlier in the latter afternoon, I eat the majority of the meal though I think the meal can be split for two separate meals, at least for me. Customer service gets better throughout the night. I understand--bringing out a water can take a fair amount of time due to another potential situation going on in this type of customer service job.

I was craving Korean mushroom tofu soup and I had to go to my local spot, Sura, in Long Beach. The banchan which are the side dishes that come with the meal are delicious. My favorite are the potato salad and kim chi. The kim chi is sour and spicy the way I like it.

The mushroom tofu soup is delicious. Be warn for my vegans, it does come with an egg. You can ask for it to be out if you like. I've been coming for ten years and I realize my spice tolerance for extra spicy is not the same. I need to go to another level which is inferno. Next time, I'm here I will do that!

Highly recommend to anyone who’s in LongBeach, and loves a solid good authentic Korean meal. I went on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch. There were plenty of Outdoor seatings with shelter available during that time; so you get to be under the shade during mid-afternoon. There’s enough indoor/outdoor seatings for Groups of 2, 4, 6, 8. There’s curb side parking (no validate). The indoor has air-conditioning if it’s too hot outside. They have great service and provide takeout boxes in case you can’t finish. The portion of the food is adequately large; definitely go with an empty stomach. I

I thought that this place was an AYCE KBBQ place but it isn't LOL I was mistaken, so just in case anyone else is too, hope that clarifies it for you!

The customer service here is lovely! I enjoyed all of my waitresses and hostesses and came with a party of 7 an hour before closing, and they were able to seat us immediately (split between two different tables which we told them is okay).

Some of the items on the menu are a bit pricey (hence the 4 stars and not 5) but if you come during happy hour, it definitely helps! We conveniently came on a day when happy hour was open to close, so we

I'm not always as good about *updating* reviews as writing new ones for new places, but I recently noticed I only gave Sura 4/5, and after finally giving them another try last summer, I've back several times, for a number of reasons! So it would be lame of me not to update my review. I haven't gotten any of the more fusion items recently, though - I am still sad they stopped doing k-tacos, but apart from that, they're also really the only place nearby doing *non*-fusion stuff... every time I've been back over the past year, it's been because I really wanted Korean
