The Cottages at Siesta Key are just OLD and dirty. At almost $400 a night, we expected much, much better. These are just to name a few of the problems we encountered in 3 of the Cottages (there were 3 separate families in each cottage).
**Our biggest problem was all the printed rules (I have pictures of everything).
There was a rule that stated each guest was to clean, dry and put away all dishes, pots, silverware, etc they used before checking out. In normal times, without a dishwasher, this is disgusting. In COVID times, this is just irresponsible and dangerous.
** I swept the 2 bedroom cottage

I will keep this short and sweet because I want all travelers to read this review! I am an avid traveler and only write reviews if the accommodations AWESOME or** falsely advertised. Myself and a group of friends recently stayed at the Buttonwood Cottage, at The Cottages on Point of Rocks Road in Siesta Key. The trip was a bachelorette party for my sister. We booked the cottage for three nights. Unfortunately on the second night of our stay, we discovered cockroaches in the master bedroom (where my sister was sleeping). We tried calling the front office, but it was overnight, therefore no one was

I don't even know where to begin. Avoid this place like you would avoid COVID19. I came here for a bachelorette party and it was an awful experience. We stayed in the Buttonwood Cottage, which was infested with roaches. The first roach [which was literally the size of a bunny rabbit] was found on night two crawling on the wall of the bride's bedroom. Later that night, four more roaches were found. One in the kitchen, one in the living room, and two under the bed of the bride's room. We immediately told the property manager Misty what was going on, and due to the time of night we reached out, we

We booked the Wild Coffee cottage at The Cottages at Siesta Key for two days - 3/25/21-3/26/21. We only needed two days and was pleased that I was able to get a place Lots of places require a minimum 3 days - some even a week. We received a call that the room was ready and we were able to check in early if we wanted.
The cottage was clean but did have a bit of a musty smell - likely due to its proximity to the water. The half kitchen had a hot plate, toaster, microwave, full refrigerator, ice cube trays in the freezer, cookware, dishes, and utensils to use. There is no dishwasher - dishes will

Overall we had an enjoyable stay at Buttonwood. The house was clean but had a musty smell to it and required a dehumidifier the entire stay (welcome to the south). The staff was super friendly and accommodating. There was only one bathroom and one king size bed, the others were twins. I would pay attention to that when booking. The beach was just a walk from the cottage (a block away roughly). They are dog friendly. And the pool was conveniently located and clean.

My family of four stayed at this property back in 2017 (family of 3 at the time). At that time, we had a relatively good experience at the property. It had been recently renovated and the property was clean and well kept. The only downside was the walk to the beach- which was further than expected. This time around we anticipated the walk but were ok with it since we were familiar with the property and area (judging it from our prior experience). This time around it was far from a desirable experience. The inside, as well as, the outside of the property seemed abandoned and unattended since our

We booked a 2 week stay in February 2019 in the Orchid Villa on Crescent Street. Communication with management was great and they were very responsive. Villa has been recently remodeled but the furniture was not as updated. Kitchen was fully stocked with the basics (new Rachel Ray cookware) & even had a wine fridge. We ate most of our meals there. Villa has a heated pool, which is fabulous! Great for couples or families.
