To ensure the health and safety of everyone, in person sessions will continue to adhere to the following: Safety & Sanitization Protocols. In the meantime, if you prefer to work remotely, you can schedule a Distance Reiki Session or Virtual Healing Session. Imagine waking up in the morning feeling ready for your day and being present for your life rather than in pain.

Let's face it, you know you're more than just a human robot, a task master rushing through your day. But it's not always easy to remember that. When you're stuck in your head all day long, it's challenging to make anything better because you're so disconnected from the vessel you're in. How in the world can you make changes in your life if you're not connected?

My name is Heather and I'm going to get real with you about why I am here and what I believe. Yes, you already know that I'm a licensed massage therapist by looking at my name and credentials. Yes, you already know that I offer individual bodywork sessions to aid in your well-being. You may also know that I facilitate women circles and teach workshops throughout the Chicagoland area.
My name is Heather Fraelick. I am a lover of life, movement and witnessing others feeling empowered. I am a dancer, a traveler, a teacher, a women's circle facilitator, a life long student and more. I believe in life and the authentic healing that can happen when we actually slow down and feel what our bodies are trying to tell us.
Amongst other topics, such as, how to befriend your body, the importance of touch, dealing with pain and more. In this podcast, Heather shares her many gifts: the main one being herself! She is joy, as the meaning of her last name describes, and reminds us all that we are human in process.

She discusses her dance career has been an essential part of her life and offerings, being human and feeling, the myth that we are "healed" or "zen" at some point, saying "No" and having healthy boundaries, and how the body talks to us."The support a message that taking care of yourself is not selfish but essential to live a good, quality life and I agree.
Craniosacral work is a gentle form of treatment that works with the brain, cerebrospinal fluid, the 22 cranial bones and the membranes inside of the cranium, the sacrum and spinal column that make up what is called, the craniosacral system. The practitioner uses gentle touch while providing long holds with each contact to the head, spine and pelvis to help optimize a movement pattern in this system called the cranial wave.
Reflexology is a system of thumb and finger techniques that stimulate the nerve endings located on the feet and hands that correspond to all of the systems in the body. This nerve stimulation sends messages to the brain to relax the corresponding body part. This results in the interruption of stress so the body has an opportunity to release toxic build up and return to balance.

It’s so hard to describe how wonderful working with Heather has been! She has a unique skill for knowing how to heal what ails you (and often to fix things you may not have realized were off!). Her multifaceted approach to body and energy work inevitably leaves me feeling like everything is firing on all cylinders. She is the ultimate professional, so knowledgeable, ever learning, and extremely invested in making people feel their best.

Heather is the best! She is knowledge, kind, and truly an expert in her field. She has helped me immensely while recovering from a personal injury. I highly recommend her because she communicates openly with her clients to treat their needs, creates a comfortable environment for true healing and is both a passionate and talented body work and massage therapist.

It is hard to capture in a quick review how extremely helpful I have found it to work with Heather and benefit from her skill, professionalism and ability. Myofascial work as Heather teaches and practices it is a profound healing modality in itself, I believe, offering freedom/fluidity/pleasure and potential in moving again. And Heather's extraordinary talent, for me, is her deep kindness, patience, and compassion, and which I feel as critical components of healing and allowing to heal. There is an actual physical experience of realizing and releasing stuck and painful patterns you might not even

Heather gave me massages during my marathon training and was essential in that months-long process which is brutal on the body. She was specific, helpful, kind, and generous in her attention to my tight muscles. I know that I would not have been able to run the race as well as I did had I not worked with her. She's wonderful at what she does and has a true gift for healing. She's also a lovely person! I highly recommend her.

Heather gave me a prenatal massage early on in my pregnancy, when i was suffering from nerve pain in my thigh. After just one session , the pain was gone.

I am very grateful! The pain was not tolerable, and it was all fixed from one session.

Heather is a remarkable massage therapist who clearly found her calling in this profession. I recently had my first session with Heather, and can't wait to have another! She works with such natural flow that it was really easy to relax and receive the work. Heather really listened to what I needed and followed through. After my session, I felt so much better aligned and my chronically tight neck and shoulders were softer and more open. I can't recommend her highly enough!

Heather is an amazing massage Therapist! I had pulled a muscle that was pinching my low back - I was in a lot of pain. She really worked areas that not only relieved the back pain but helped to move it away from my low back where it ended up on the side of my leg instead slowly moving out of my body completely. What a way to heal;) I would recommend not only people who are in pain, but anyone seeking to maintain their health be in the care of Heather. She is definitely someone who listens, is very intuitive and really has that sensibility to work with the person she is treating on an individual

Hands down, Heather is the most talented massage therapist I have ever received work from. The combination of her manual therapy and energy work is something I have never experienced before. The few times since I’ve met her that I’ve had to get massages from other people (due to being out of state), I find myself thinking in my head “ugghhh I wish this was Heather!” She is extremely talented and knowledgeable. Her passion for helping people oozes from her pores, and her thirst for knowledge and experience never ends. If there were ever a Doctor of Massage, Heather would be IT. If you are

Heather Fraelick is one of the most talented massage therapists I have worked with. She is exceptionally skilled and highly aware of body mechanics. With any indications of pain and injury, she knows exactly where else to work on you that you may not even be aware of, tending to a holistic approach, while ensuring that your exact complaints are addressed in the session. She also provides wonderful advice on what to do following to continue the healing between visits. Whether you are seeking relaxation and rejuvenation, or a more therapeutic massage to address pain or injury, I highly recommend

I had only had one real massage before, and it had been many years ago, so I wasn’t really sure what to expect when going to see Heather. She made me feel very comfortable from the beginning of my appointment on. I knew I had a lot of knots in my upper back and neck muscles from stress, so I asked her to focus on those areas. Using a very deliberate technique, Heather was able to locate and release many of the tense areas. She constantly checked with me to make sure I was comfortable and was OK with the techniques she was using. I really enjoyed my time there, even though I was a little sore

I've been working with Heather for help with muscle tension and relaxation over the past 3 months and have noticed a huge improvement. Heather's massages are deep and geared toward getting specific results. But at the same time she succeeds at being gentle when needed, relying on a combination of her knowledge and her intuition to guide her. In my experience with massage therapists, I have found it hard to come by a practitioner who is both knowledgeable and intuitive, who uses deep pressure into the muscles, but doesn't rely solely on her physical strength to make progress.

Heather is fantastic! In several years of trying various massage places in the city, she is by far the one of the best masseuses I have encountered. Since this is her individual practice within a modern, attractive multi-specialty office (with free street parking!), you benefit from her consistent, focused attention to your needs rather than having to re-explain yourself to different therapists. She is thorough, analytical and explanatory. She helped relieve chronic upper back pain over a few visits and showed me stretches for continued relief. I plan to follow up with her periodically. I see Heather once or twice a month and believe she is definitely one of the best massage therapists in Chicago. She is very professional and always listens to my concerns and focuses on the areas where I need it. Her office is very comfortable and I always feel right at ease when I visit.

The great thing about Heather is that she seems to be able to "read your body" and know where the tension lies. She can also adjust her pressure accordingly and apply deep pressure when you need it or ask (it hurts so good!) or provide a more relaxing massage. I have also had a couple reflexology

What else can I say but amazing. I started going to see Heather a little over a year ago. Went in initially for lower back pain which she took care of quickly, now I routinely go back for normal wear and tear touch ups but the relaxing nature as well. I've never had a bad experience in the numerous massages that I've received from Heather and I will continue to see her. She's very knowledgeable about her professional, the human body, and how all work together. She always makes me feel comfortable as well as my wife whom is seeing her from time to time, and most of all she&apos

Can't say enough good things about Heather...

Great location, very comfortable atmosphere, very professional and knowledgable. Heather listened to exactly what I wanted and gave more than I expected.

As far as massage therapists go in Chicago (and I've tried a number), she is definitely in the top.
