Tools are in abundance. I love tools. And I also realize that my passion and experience on the home maintenance may be of help to you. In my last article I identified the first two tools every home owner needs. The first was a ladder. The second was a good wet-dry vacuum. The third is.

I want to offer you some steps that can give traction as you move in and prepare to make this strange house feel like your new home. With buyers I spend time addressing upcoming maintenance issues. Here's a helpful list of the first house maintenance steps from a do-it-yourself perspective. If you got the keys and are getting ready to walk through the empty house that first time, take a few minutes to snap pictures or video.

Mike was great to work with. Very polite and professional in his interactions. His inspection was thorough and he was able to answer all the questions that my wife and I had. He is very knowledgable and seemed to go above and beyond to share helpful information and tips with us about home ownership as it relates to repairing and maintaining our new home. Would definitely use again and refer. Thanks Mike!

Mike is a GREAT home inspector. He has done two home inspections for me now - one before closing on a new home, and this week as I approach the end of my one year full warranty. Mike is very professional and very knowledgeable. His work is very detailed that the report that he created for me is a wonderful functional tool for helping guide the work that needs to be done. I appreciate how the report is categorized into items that are good, items that need maintenance and items that need repair. Mike is prompt, dependable and respectful.

I had Mike do the inspection on the house that I purchased in Kenmore, WA. As this was my first house purchase, I had a lot of questions. Mike did a great job answering all my questions and showing me all the features of my new home. It was very educational! In additional, he took a lot of photos and compiled it in a easy to read report which I received the night of the inspection. He found a number of critical issues with my new home that my real estate agent was able to use to help negotiate a lower purchase price of my house. I definitely plan on using Mike again when I buy my next home. Thank

I enlisted Mike Wright for my condo inspection after noticing that the buyers of my house used him and his charges were lower. Before listing my house to sell I had an inspection done with a different inspector. I should have seen the red flag then as his report on my house was totally different than the one I received by my inspector. He did miss several larger issues at my house but because my inspector wrote them up we decided to address them prior to putting the house on the market. There was a broken seal on a window that we chose to replace, a leaking pipe under the house that we had fixed
