What a fantastic evening in an atmosphere that would make you feel as if you were in a quaint neighborhood trattoria in small-town Italy. Maribelle was our waitress and made us feel like we were seated at her dining room table. Steamed mussels were to die for and the genuine Italian bread made for wonderful dipping. My lamb shank was as good as the pig's cheeks I had in Paris many years ago. The eggplant parmigiana was exquisite and the wine selection complimented every bite. A must try, close your eyes and transport your taste buds to someplace like Orvieto.

Authentic. Home-made. Brilliant.
And the environment is quaint, like a slice of Italy...super festive music, amazing service and care from the team.
Everything we had from the house salads to the eggplant Parmesan to the spaghetti and meatballs to the Halibut special was incredibly flavorful.
I would have given 10 stars if I could. Eat here!

The owner George greeted and welcomed us warmly as we opened the restaurant door. He treated us like VIP, even though we were complete strangers dining here for the first time. Our gracious server, Anna Marie, started us with raw oysters and calamari. Both were impeccable! I had the most deliciously rich tasting lobster ravioli for the main dish. I was really impressed with the hospitality and the food!

I'm not going to lie.... It's not cheap, but it's fantastic. The bread is insane. Literally the best bread and butter combo at an establishment.... AND THAT'S saying A LOT! I can't even think about their Chicken Parm right now because it's making me hungry!
Olivier at the Bar is awesome (you might even get a lucky $2 bill), and George in the kitchen is (double kiss cheeks) amazing! I love these guys and this place! So go visit them. They'll treat you like a great friend.

We tried this place while in the area looking for a small family run restaurant. We were greeted and seated right away. Our server got our drink order very quickly. We order the Fried Calamari which was cooked to perfection, melted in your mouth. For our main meal I ordered the Special Burgundy Beef and my partner ordered the Lamb Chops. The Burgundy Beef was so delicious and cooked to perfection. The Lamb Chops were cooked perfect and tasted delicious. For dessert we tried the Cannoli were fantastic. We met the owner George who was very nice and fun to talk with. This will be a new favorite spot

Careful! The pricing on the online menu is outdated. The Online Menu shows $22 for a Chicken Parmesan dinner. But it is actually $26. In the end, $4 is not the end all but I would not have ordered this had I been aware of the price. This is just a small Chicken Parmesan dinner with a small side of pasta and not at all worth paying nearly $30.00!
And on a side note, if a customer calls in and has more than likely looked at the online menu, I believe the employee should make them aware that the online prices are inaccurate.

I had one of the best dinners ever last evening! This restaurant is small and extremely welcoming. Our waitress was awesome. And, of course, the freshly prepared food was to die for. The freshly baked bread was amazing. I had one of the best Caesar salads I have had in a very long time. I had chicken Marsala and my friend had shrimp Pompadoro. DELICIOUS! The tiramisu is delightful. Definitely will be going back. YUMMY!!!!!

My wife and I just dropped in for dinner tonight for our 1st visit. Wow! The food was amazing: my wife had the chicken piccata and the dish was delicious. The chicken was incredibly tender, the sauce had a balanced tang and they happily added extra capers.
I had shrimp risotto; again, the dish was a hit. The shrimp were large and tender, perfectly cooked and the risotto was creamy and seasoned excellently.
The restaurant is small and intimate. They were busy with both in-house diners and deliveries but worked hard to serve all.
Loved the atmosphere, food and service. We will definitely be back

So thankful that this place was open on NYE and in the midst of COVID.
While we only came in for a glass of wine, tonight was fantastic. The staff was friendly and attentive, the atmosphere cozy, and all the wines reasonably priced. To us, this place has all the qualities of a top shelf establishment.
Given its location in a strip mall, it's certainly a diamond in the rough.

Very nice friendly enjoyable environment. Every time I eat here, I end up meeting and making new local friends in North Scottsdale. That rarely happens when going out to eat ... it has everything to do with the restraunt vibe, owners and staff. Very delicious shrimp appetizer, lobster ravioli, bread and dip and fish soup. Somehow once you bite into the meal... you’ll be very aware that the flavors of each dish are so complete in totality ... it’s a refreshing unique experience that’s fully enjoyable!

Absolutely Authentic delish combo between Italian and French Menu. Chef George was Owner of the Italian Borgotta in Scottsdale before city tore it down. Divine menu and taste. If you are Italian and you think you know what excellent Italian is.... I dare you to travel to LA CUCINA and let your taste buds explore something new, something mind blowing, something beyond expert, something beyond the basic imaginations ability ... b/c the combo of French/Italian is where this MASTERY IS AT. Bonus..... the owner bursts into song frequently as well as you get to hear the staff speaking the beautiful Italian

The best French style mussels in the Valley! And the warm bread they serve is perfect for dipping in the left over sauce from the mussels.
Come for the happy hour menu, which is 4pm to close (the mussels for $4 off) or try one of the daily specials written on the board, which the chef loves to make.
The restaurant is small, but quaint. Feels like a family environment.
