From the first point of contact we ensure that all communication, completion of the home inspection and delivery of the report exceed expectations. Although we will never rush a home inspection we appreciate that time is almost always a key factor and we treat this with the importance it deserves. An average home inspection will be between 2-3hrs, but never less than 2hrs no matter how small the property is.
When most people see S H Fox, they make a fair assumption that those are my initials and surname. My name is Kevin Butterfield and I am the owner of S H Fox Home Inspections. I have been running my own company for over 10 years, 9 years of that was in England but I have always been in and around the property refurbishment and development aspect of the home industry.
HomeSpection Training Institute has been with us since the beginning and has helped us grow with constant support and assistance. ProLab provide us with a fast, reliable and efficient lab service for all of our onsite sampling and testing requirements. This includes mold samples and radon testing levels when using charcoal canisters.
The general home inspection is a visual and physical inspection of every area of a property from roof to basement including any attached and separate garages. A 400 point FX Inspector written report supported by photographic evidence then follows which then presents any found defects to the client enabling both the seller and buyer to discuss any major or impacting defects prior to concluding the real estate transaction.
We offer two different types of mold inspection depending on your own personal requirements. Both of which come with supported infrared images that show extremely detailed views of any moisture present. Both inspections will consist of a full property search including the exterior where any high moisture content areas will be located and investigated.

Kevin is a top notch professional, he is was EXTREMELY thorough, polite, and considerate. As a first time buyer he really helped me understand the process and his findings as well as answered my many questions. Kevin's availability was flexible and convenient, he made the scheduling process so easy, and NO ONE could beat his rates. He took extra time for me because there ended up being many things to inspect in the house and didn't charge us for overtime. Kevin also stayed up to the wee hours of the morning making sure we had out inspection report promptly. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND him without a doubt

Kevin did a fantastic job going through my new home. Found several items I definitely would have overlooked and and was extremely easy to work with. He made sure to review even the smallest detail with me and even though previous owner was in home had no issues pointing out things in a professional and courteous manner.
All this and a price which that was better than several I had contacted. Would highly recommend him!

We hired Kevin to inspect a home we are purchasing because of all the great customer reviews. He is very thorough and he will take the time to explain the inspection process. Buying and selling a home can be very stressful and Kevin makes the inspection process go smoothly. He will send you a full inspection report so you can see exactly what you are buying. His low prices do not mean less quality. I've seen other inspectors hired for a lot more money and they were not as thorough as Kevin.
