Great hotel room! stayed in after New Years, the bed was very comfortable, we also had partial ocean view, the bathroom and the sink were in great condition, the TV was quite large and there were 50 cable channels with a wide variety of movies and TV shows. the wi fi was fast, the chekc in and check out was very fast. very pleased with the room
the only thing is that, due to it's location, it was very cold and we had to turn on the heat as soon as we got to the room in order for it to be warmer. so turn on the heat as soon as you get the room and you'll be happy :)

I was a little apprehensive after reading reviews and making an impulse purchase for a few nights stay. The price was insanely good and with it being on the end of Cannery Row, I felt like I had made a good choice and luckily, the inn didn't disappoint! The staff was very friendly, the room was clean and quaint. We didn't anticipate spending too much time in the room anyway with being walking distance to eateries and shops but when we were in the room, we were comfortable and had no issues with the bathroom amenities, the wall a/c or the TV. The bathroom was well upgraded so that was

We had such a wonderful stay at this inn - the room was comfy and clean and we loved the wooden beams on the ceiling! The fireplace itself could be updated but we loved the fact that we had a fireplace in our room. The location was phenomenal; we were a block away from the water and within walking distance to a ton of local attractions. This was one of our favorite places that we stayed on our trip!

Wow! We spent a couple days here and will definitely be back!! The front desk lady was super nice and we were able to check in early without any hesitation. We stayed in 216 and had the perfect view of the beach and during the late hours of the day we could sit out on the balcony and listen to a sealion barking in the distance, the pathway to walk to the warf or to the aquarium is right outside your hotel door. We didn't drive once. The halls of the hotel were always quiet. We seriously cannot wait to return. Thank you cannery row!!! We were there for our 6year anniversary on Halloween 🎃

Five stars for location. Located between the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Cannery Row, and Old Fisherman's Wharf, this Inn is perfectly located to explore the city on foot. We stayed in room 105 which is located on the front side of the Inn, room 105 had access to the courtyard. Unfortunately from Room 105 you can hear the traffic passing through town at all hours of the night. While this hotel may not be the quietest, we weren't disappointed with it's location and the free parking.

Stayed there Sept. 24-26 and giving 1 star because I could not give 0. It started before we even left for Monterey on the day we were to arrive. I received a call and was told my credit card would not go through. This was no surprise as i had recently canceled a card because of fraudulent charges. I gave her a card over the phone and she tells me this was also denied. I said well we are about to leave can I just give you one when I get there. She said sure....so we started our drive.

Upon arriving, the hotel is a completely different color than what is in the photos. Imagine the brightest

This is a pretty old hotel and it shows, lots of wear and tear. For the price I was expecting a little better. It's definitely time for a remodel. The location is great though and I would stay here again if I needed to but I will try something different next time. For the price I should feel confident that the room is clean.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights in August 2021. When we entered our room it had a very bad musty smell like something was wet. We thought maybe the room just needed to be aired out , so we opened the patio door. Then when we were ready to retire for the night my husband noticed the bed was broken, and the mattress was much lower at the head of the bed on his side. No one answered at front desk. Following day we left early to go out for the day. When we got back we told housekeeping about room and she came to check the bed and odor and said that it did smell and the bed was broken. She contacted

We celebrated 25 year Anniversary here. Awesome Stay Great Location ....... Great nightly rate.
It's a little outdated not bother to us. We walked everywhere parking is tricky on Cannery Row. Room was very very clean the bed was SO comfortable and 5 great pillows. We sat for hours on the balcony people watching. . Staff very accommodating and friendly. Pay the extra money and get the room with the partial view you can leave your sliding door open and listen to the waves all night. Amazing breakfast at The Wave Street Cafe. Stay Away from The Fish Hopper Restaurant. Cold food hubby was sick

My family and I stayed her May 7th through the 9th of 2021. We checked into our room and I could not stop smelling what I believed to be vomit. I was right...it was vomit. And it was not properly cleaned. When I confronted the manager PAUL, he replied "I can't smell it." He then proceeded to offer me a coffee keurig cup and told me to put it on the wet spot for the smell. I couldn't believe this was happening. My two year old toddler was stepping in the wet throw up spot to get into our bed and it worried me since we are still currently in a pandemic. The ladies there were helpful

Housekeeping was fabulous!! I was able to refill my k-cups and creamers every morning as they were coming through (huge deal for me because I need 3 cups of coffee before I kinda function) the bed was very comfortable, room was clean and the fireplace was nice to turn on with the chilly coastal winds. The balcony had a decent view of the bay and I could hear Reveille echo down in the morning as well as Taps at night. Super cool.
Only reason it’s not 5 stars:
The walls.
Everything is solid white and it’s a pitched 16’ ceiling. One 20x20 painting above the fireplace. No other wall decor

This place is centrally located, so there is that. It looks a bit run down or lacking in maintenance. Could/should be updated as it has potential. I will say though, the staff get 5 stars! They were, to a person, very pleasant and willing to offer whatever was needed. That is their saving grace (I hope they pay them well).
Also, the bed was quite comfortable and the room was very quiet, but I don't think there were many guests staying there. Bottom line, there are far nicer places in the area for similar rates, but if there was nothing else vacant, I'd stay here again.

Stayed here for a 2 night getaway. The inn looked good online, so I booked a King room. Bed was large, 2nd floor room had large vaulted ceilings. Patio view was of the street.

Desk clerk was friendly and told us where nearby restaurants were at 9pm arrival. Elevator was ok, no problems. Covid safety signs everywhere, masks to be worn and 6 ft distancing. Room key was touch, not insert, which was nice. Didnt have to take key out of paper sleeve to activate door.

Room had good wifi. 15 minute walk to Fishermans wharf, and a bit longer walk to historic area. Plenty of restaurants with varying prices

Our stay at this hotel was great. The staff were friendly and the room was cozy. The location is right by a small beach and a few restaurants. The fridge was so cold it froze our food, but that was the closest thing to an issue we had and it's not even a huge deal. Folks around the area almost all wore masks so it was nice to see so many taking covid seriously as well.

How does this place have not more stars?!? This place is perfectly situated near the beach and the Aquarium. We arrived after 9pm but prior to, they called me to make sure we were okay and we would arrive before 11pm because their office closes then. The room was clean and very spacious. I can't rave enough about the place, I'm definitely going back.
The bathroom was clean and very updated.
Seriously, this place is not receiving the credit it deserves.

Loved our stay!

I extended our vacation by a day and called to see if I could add an extra day to my reservation and the customer service I received was excellent. When I checked in as well the check in agent was absolutely wonderful! She was very hands on and super good energy. The room was very cute and had everything we needed (microwave, mini fridge, balcony, FIREPLACE, etc) It was very clean and well stocked I was not concerned with anything at all. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this place to all my family & friends.

I didn't take much pictures I wish I had

Arrived in Monterey later than expected on a Friday night, my husband's 40th. We used hoteltonight.com to find a room and Cannery Row Inn was the best price through the app; $89.00. We pulled in at 9:30 pm and the room was decent. We walked down to the Schooners Coastal Kitchen and Bar for dinner.

It was odd that the cable box was shoved behind the tv but... eh, aesthetics. The coffee station had 1 pod and it was decaf. The next morning after my shower I tried to use the hairdryer and it heated up but did not blow out air. Suddenly there was a tiny flame and I unplugged the dryer from the

I was a long time resident of Monterey and recently relocated to another state, for many years I'd drive past Cannery Row Inn and I always wondered what it was like. I came back to visit my son and booked a King Room at the last minute for 3 nights and I was blown away by the price, very affordable, the location is absolutely PERFECT!!! Parking is at no charge which is amazing in itself, the room I was given had thee most spectacular views of Monterey Bay, everyday the sun was out and the weather was simply gorgeous. The rooms are nice and clean, my bed was super comfy. I have discovered that
