Tamia and LaPorta were simply AMAZING with the check-in/out process.. especially LaPorsha. She definitely took A LOT of stress off of me with helping me secure a room in a timely manner for work. Thanks Breakers Team for all you do!

I loved it. Normally we stay at Bayview when we go. The kids enjoyed the pool area, the water slides, the ocean view and the murphy bed. We will surely be going back.

We have been staying at this hotel for years now. And we have never had any issues with our stays. Until this time. Our room had a bad smell to it. The hallways stayed smelling like cigarettes but nothing compared to the indoor pools at the paradise building. We laid our items on the far right wall on some pool chairs next thing you know they were infested with cockroaches! Lady working at the rusty reel was very friendly. Definitely our last stay here.

Literally amazing!!! Our room was clean, it was very quiet on our floor and the bed was soooo comfortable! Anything you need is no more than a 10 minute drive which is so convenient! Check in and check out was a breeze! We will definitely be returning to Breakers very soon!

Never again will stay here. Have been coming 17 years and this is the last. First off reservation was wrong. Always have stayed ocean front but mix up with staff put us with a great view of the construction next door. Front desk receptionist Tom is the most rude and surly person I have ever met. Just my luck this is the 2nd encounter I've had with him. Two years ago asking about the parking deck he abruptly shut me down and then tonight asking for towels was an interrogation in front of my 10 year old son. He is in the wrong line of business, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND JUST A TERRIBLE PERSON. Also

As far as the room goes, it was comfortable and clean. The indoor pool in the Paradise building is another story. The outside area is undergoing renovation. They didn't have anything over what should have been windows so basically it was outside. It was so cold and windy that the hot tub was lukewarm at best. It was like a wind tunnel. I think they should have closed the indoor pool and let the hotel guests know. It would've been appreciated.

It's not bad, just the Dunes section is notably dated. I can't say anything was bad (aside from the thinner than expected walls, lack of plugs for electronics, low water pressure in the shower, and non curved shower rod). Also noticed writing on some of the furniture (presumably from previous guest). The staff was professional and personable and the beds, a/c, lighting, tv, and hot water were nice. For the price it was reasonable, just not amazing.

Clean room, great front desk staff, wonderful breakfast.
Here’s the rub: when I made the reservation over a month ago I chose this hotel strictly for the indoor pools. The Lady I spoke with insisted this was the location with the best indoor pools.
Before our arrival, I read reviews that they had not closed in the pools. So…I called and spoke with a very nice man by the name of Tim who seemed surprised the doors were open and then confirmed they were- and stated he would have maintenance close them.
Upon arrival on Wednesday, not closed. So I called and spoke to a manager. I’m pretty sure

Pleasantly surprised by the value delivered during my one night stay driving up the east coast. The check-in was prompt and the staff very friendly and helpful. Generous two bed suite including balcony at a bargain price. Yes it was off season but still the place was clean, view gorgeous, and had many choices for eating after a long day driving. Will definitely stay here should the occasion arise to visit Myrtle.

COCKROACHES!
I stayed at The Breakers Resort about a decade ago and since I loved it BACK THEN, I insisted on staying there again when I was able to come back. What an absolute nightmare. From all of their vending machines being broken to broken appliances in the room to stained/holes balcony curtains to the amount they really let the place go. It was heartbreaking to see such a beautiful resort fall so far. I was repulsed, however, during my stay to see cockroaches the size of Buicks in all their swimming areas and an inability to be assisted with my concerns, especially considering I payed over

Got charged for a Ocean front room, our view is a side view of the ocean and a front view of construction. At approximately 6:30am workers began construction again and rode the temporary elevator that is literally 20' across from our room and balcony up and down repeatedly which is not a quiet ride. At approximately 7am something resembling a Jack hammer began to be used nonstop. I went to the front desk and asked what could be done about the inconvenience. I was told that management was in a meeting but would call me ASAP. Nothing was ever done. Never be back to this S#*t hole again!

We had a great time here and enjoyed all of the amenities like the hot tubs, pool and lazy river. There were plenty of places to sit and see the beach. The beach itself was also very clean and private. The room was spacious, and the murphy bed came in handy. I would definitely stay again.

I had a room booked 8 months prior to our trip and 3 weeks before our trip the hotel changes our room without permission. I had to call everyday for 3 days to find out why our room was changed without notice. They said they "upgraded" us (ocean view) but I thought it was a down grade because we went from a king bed to two double beds and smaller room. With 3 weeks to our trip, there wasn't much available. We are here now and hate our room. This is our first time here. No maid service. We were supposed to have a $150 credit on our account but never did. Our room key stopped working

When we first got to Breakers, the one across the street, we were immediately informed no one would be coming to clean the room during our stay. Normally I would've understood; they're probably short staffed and it's COVID, but despite them not coming to clean they still charged us a "cleaning fee" every night we were here.

When we got to the room, the beds looked reasonably clean, but there were a few signs that maybe they didn't adequately clean the bathrooms. Like, on the bathroom floor there was a rubber band for braces lying there.

As for the shower, the water

I have stayed at this resort many times over the last few years and am generally pleased. We always stay in the Paradise Tower in one of the suites. This time, however, our room was in need of updating. The couch was very worn and uncomfortable and the room had a slight odor. We were here for 4 nights and each night there were fireworks on the beach right in front of the hotel, despite this being illegal. I realize this is not necessarily the fault of the hotel but I got the impression that it is tolerated. There was construction next door but The Breakers did put a warning on their website

The only reason they're getting 2 stars is because the room was very nice, and that's about it. We stayed in the ocean view king spa room and let me begin with the "view." I understand that breakers sold the property between two of there hotels to another company. So not only do you have this massive hotel going up between the breakers property, this is the great view that we got. We also loved our 7am construction wake-up call every morning. Only time you could sit on the balcony and enjoy the weather was at night because during the day you just had a bunch of construction

This is my third time staying at this resort. We got placed in the Sailfish tower this time. Personally prefer the paradise tower as I think it's the best one. Room was clean though. Only thing I hated was parking. No parking at our building and we had to park in a parking garage down the road, but that's just because it was packed due to spring break

Overall nice experience. 4.5 stars if i could. friendly staff and clean atmosphere. The only thing I did not see was the outside lazy river... (not sure if that was due to construction) but we did go to the other water attractions such as the lazy INSIDE river etc. Reasonably priced I felt. The free breakfast they provide was very good. We were confused however about the restaurants around the area that closed at 9pm during spring break but I get it... you work and want to go to your home. Also parking is tricky but if you're lucky you'll get the closest parking spots next to your hotel

Okay... lemme start by saying this is a pretty solid place to stay.
Pros: awesome beach access, nice restaurant attached, rooms are nice.

Cons: walls are extremely thin, you can hear the neighbors .
Smells like sewage in the halls
Couldn't get a lawn chair during the day to sit on the beach

If I could give this negative stars, I would. The breakers has several buildings, and we requested a two bedroom suite. We were given a room in the "Dunes" building, and it looked like the motel that I stayed in for spring break in 1989. This was a normal sized motel room with two double beds and a galley kitchen in between. It was not clean and had not been updated in at least 20 years. We checked out early and switched to a different hotel after the first night.

We did not get the two bedroom suite that we were told we would get. Will never stay there again.

This makes my 3rd time staying here. We usually take family vacations during spring break, but of course with pandemic that did not happen. We had a 3 bedroom/ 2 bath. We were pleased with our stay. The first room we had was a little too high up, so we asked to be moved and they moved us with no problem. The room was big and cleaned. The housekeeping staff kept us in towels and washcloths for days. They actually made sure we had trash bags as well. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. We had a good time in Myrtle this year.

You're right on the beach, the rooms are large and the staff tries really hard but the dank smell of mildew stayed in my nose for weeks. This property is running at or near full occupancy most of the time and that doesn't leave a second to spare for much needed renovations and upkeep.

While that's the reality on premise, the beach scene is terrific and their outdoor pool is kept better than expected considering the number of guests and is remarkably refreshing and somehow free of the chlorine haze that shrouds too many resort pools.

However, there were a fair amount of free range

On our move from Boston to Orlando, we decided to take a small detour in Myrtle Beach for the night since I found this great deal on trip.com. However, looking at the actual prices it looks like it was pretty reasonable to begin with. We went during off season, so it was not crowded at all. I was surprised to see this resort was RIGHT on the beach. There's quite a few buildings to this resort and lots of pools!
The main reason I am writing this review is because they gave us a FREE upgrade to a suite. Of course, don't expect this but it was such a wonderful surprise. The view from the
