The calendar is in view mode only. Our realtor referred us to Rusty for our home inspection. They have had a relationship for years, so we knew we could count on him. Thankfully, he proved us right with being on time as well as exceptionally thorough and knowledgeable throughout the process. Rusty is professional and precise, and was willing to walk through some questions we had during the inspection.

A Pre-Listing Home Inspection is an excellent way to prepare your house for sale. As the seller, you naturally want your house to be in the best condition possible, so it is as attractive as possible to potential buyers. By having Rusty Layton inspect your home prior to listing, you have forewarning of any potential issues, allowing you to remedy them if possible or, at the least, be aware of the situation.
As a local realtor, I have had many clients over the year request Rusty Layton as their home inspector -- and for good reason. His knowledge is unsurpassed, which is not surprising given his breadth of experience, having performed more than 25,000 home inspections since 1981. Typically, he shows up for an inspection and already knows the builder, the layout, and the neighborhood - this is what experience gets you!

I have been a full time REALTOR for over 30 years. I have been working with Rusty for almost as long and he had earned my trust and that of my clients. Rusty is extremely knowledgeable, accommodating, professional and a thorough home inspector. He is my top recommendation for Home Inspectors in the Northern Virginia Area.

Rusty is the best, he still inspects from his knowledge. He was trained by the best back in the 1980’s, George Pettie of Homechek who has since retired. Rusty is the closest to Mr Pettie I have ever witnessed & I have been licensed since 1977 as a Principle Broker/Associate Broker.
Sadly no back-ups to George or Rusty! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It was obvious from the initial conversation with Rusty that he had been inspecting homes in the DC area for decades. I mentioned the neighborhood and he was able to tell me when the house was built and the pros and cons of construction techniques of that era. The inspection report included an upfront executive summary of notable issues with supporting details/photos by section further down in the report. My real estate agent commented on how much he liked the format and that he basically copy/pasted
