Smithy is derived from the trade, Blacksmith. This is a tribute to the previous tenant of our location, Henry Potter. He was an established blacksmith in the Dallas, TX area. He and his family have been in the trade for the past 90 years and have spanned their love for blacksmithing across four generations.
They continue to be a staple in the Dallas area and were the perfect inspiration for our locally sourced spirits and provisions concept. At Smithy, you will find cuisine that draws inspiration from all across the globe, while keeping our menu items familiar and approachable. We are beautifully blending sustenance and the human desire for fellowship.

Services
For those looking for something lighter this evening, be sure to try one of our greener options: buttermilk salad, kale salad, fruit and nut salad, or nicoise. With our house-made buttermilk dressing, honey-lime vinaigrette, poppy seed vinaigrette, or pomegranate vinaigrette, you won't be disappointed by our salad selection.

Visit this place for brunch on a cold Sunday afternoon with no reservation. Not sure what we were thinking since the cowboys came was on. It was pretty packed inside and there was a wait time for the table but no wait time outside. They had patio heaters outside but I was still a little apprehensive about sitting out in the cold. Turned out to not be too bad. I ordered the salmon Benedict and the 'that's my jam' cocktail. The cocktail was.. a cocktail. Nothing necessarily memorable about it. For some reason I wasn't expecting a whole salmon but that's what I got. The food

The Poutine is out of this world!!! I thoroughly enjoyed the crab nachos, my Bloody Mary and picking off of the other plates at the table. I couldn't help myself. This restaurant is a favorite of mine and is off the chain (if that is still a relevant term). The staff is fun and friendly, the atmosphere has a very cool vibe, the cleanliness is on point, and oh, that chef. Mmmm. I don't know who s/he is, but I would marry her/him if polygamy was legal.

This place has great food and fantastic service. Josh, my waiter was extremely knowledgeable about the brunch menu and was able to recommend item in accordance to my dietary restrictions.
The food was hot, and came out rather quickly. The GM, Mike, came by the table twice to ensure the food was satisfactory and to provide recommendations for dessert.
I would absolutely advise anyone to stop by and try them out. This could be a gem of a find if you enjoy dining in a relaxed atmosphere!

This is one of the best brunch spots in Knox-Henderson! Love how they have a wide variety of both sweet and savory options. I went with the tamales, and they were delicious and flavorful. All of our dishes were also plated beautifully! The atmosphere is a good mix of classy yet relaxed - you could dress up if you wanted or come in casual and be fine either way! The valet parking is a great perk as well. I really want to come back and try some more menu options or come in for a drink!

My wife and I recently visited Smithy for dinner and had a good experience. The biggest pro of the restaurant is the general ambiance and vibe inside. It is a really cool place and they do a great job of making you feel that you are dining some place special. We enjoyed our meals and the cocktails we ordered were tasty too.

I thoroughly enjoyed the mimosas and the hangover 2.0. Food came fairly quickly and the service was great. Josh was our server and he made sure we were taken care of during our visit. I believe it was the manager who delivered our food and also made sure my friend and i were enjoying everything. Definitely a chill Sunday brunch spot that i would visit again when i come back in town.

For a fine dine we tried Smithy in Dallas, trademarked after a blacksmith shop famously known in Texas for 90 years. The menu offers a twist on quality American diningā from brunch to lunch, dinner and late night specialty cocktails. It made for a memorable experience!

2nd time here. Came on a Sunday afternoon when they opened. I had to wait for valet for about 5 minutes because we couldn't find him. This is the second valet that didn't open the door for me. The place already had a few parties in considering they just opened.
Summer Sangria- light & fruity with a hint of spice - pretty good sangria.
Mimosa - average.
Salmon Benedict - Got this last time & everything was perfect. This time was very disappointing. Ordered poached eggs easy & they were medium. The salmon was burnt on both sides & very dry. I don't think they washed
