The food is top notch Italian fare. The red sauce is very balanced and perfectly thick. I would recommend eating in the bar area just because the antique bar itself is one of the most gorgeous that I have seen in Rochester. The aged and carved wood stands in stark contrast to the posted photo of the Pope juxtaposed next to the photo of Tony Soprano and his crew.

Rocky’s is classic, old school Italian at its finest. The food is outstanding and portions are made for leftovers. Staff is friendly and efficient. We’ve been for lunch a half dozen times in the past ten years and it has been very consistent. I recommend getting there right when they open at 11am or you may have difficulty getting a table, especially for a large group. The menu changes every day of the week and we haven’t had a bad experience yet. Highly recommended!

My wife and I came up to see my mom and wanted to try an authentic Italian place and they nailed it! I had the meatball and sausage plate with rigatoni so good! Sausage is just spicy enough and the meatballs have a great flavor and aren't dried out and covered in sauce! The pasta though was the standout here made in house its definitely noticeable! Going to be telling everyone I know about this place but they don't need the praise they were packed but the food was coming fast!

My family has been going here for over 50 years. It's the exact same high quality Italian food that they have been serving for decades. Tripe, Ravs, side of pork, and chicken soup. Never once have I ever had bad service here. Never once have I ever had anything but excellent food here. So many fond memories of this place from when I was growing up.
