Just a shout out to Miranda Dudley...our new HOA rep for the Townhouses in Mixson. Leasing and Management is the third management company in the three years I've lived here. It's also the 5th HOA I've had to deal with overall...I've got to say Miranda is the absolute BEST representative Ive dealt with. Ever.
She is cheerful and upbeat and she follow thru. If she say she's going to do something, she does. We've had more help in the last few months since Miranda been on the job than in the prior 3 years. Thanks a bunch Miranda. You're a rock star.

I live in a property managed by this company. My apartment is a first floor apartment in a two story house, and every time it rains hard, my ceiling leaks a steady stream of water that has no destroyed a personal computer. This issue has been going on for months and literally no improvement has been made, despite being told by the company that roofers have been out to look at the property several times. I tried to talk to a representative of this company, Emerson, who told me his "biggest concern" was where I leave my computer in my apartment and that I should have just left a bucket

They do not respond in a timely manner to emails or phone calls. They will not even give you a direct line to a human. All appointments and interactions are through a scheduler online. Super frustrating. Poor poor customer service.

This is the most unprofessional rental company I have ever rented from. The level of communication is almost non-existent. You should expect to show up in person as they never answer their phone. They don’t care about you as renter and are very rude and patronizing with most interactions we had - you are an inconvenience to their sole objective of collecting checks. Save yourself a lot of headache, choose another rental company.

As a landlord with one property the rent Charleston team was great for the years that we needed to get our place rented. They provided quality tenants and the house never went vacant between renters. They also allow you to pick how involved you want them to be, whether it be just marketing, showing and renting all the way up to full service management.

Chris was my agent at the company and he was always helpful, honest, and genuinely a pleasure to interact with. We never had any issues as renters that weren’t resolved quickly and acceptably and we were always made to feel valued. We moved in the week quarantine began and Chris took the time to listen and help me feel better in my panic about having been laid off. Easily the worse rental company I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They were consistently rude, patronizing, and utterly incompetent when it come to any and all matters of managing their property. Excessive charging of air filters monthly without any opportunity to opt out. Yearly "inspections" for house maintenance was literally never done in the 5 years I rented from them. Their website is great and very user friendly, however I have tried to view 5 different properties, some of which I have tried to view up to three times. Each time I have put in the showing request at least 3 days in advance, but I don't receive a confirmation email until the day before (which leads me to believe they probably don't inform the current tenants until that time as well). Because out of the 5 properties I tried to view (within the past week and a half), only one was not canceled due to "the current tenant being unavailable" even though I've tried various times

Awful rental company. Unfortunate that they are in charge of so many rentals in the downtown area. They don't keep up with their properties well and blame it on you when you move out. Don't expect them to communicate promptly if you have important questions or needs. If you can find another person or company to rent from, do it.

Just fyi: this is Rent Charleston but they rebranded because Rent Charleston had such a bad reputation. It's the same company. Lived in one of their properties for 2 years. Where do I begin?
1. When I moved in a previous tenant had left a bunch of couches on the porch, as well as other miscellaneous furniture. I requested those to be removed, they were never removed, and no one followed up. My room also had clearly not been cleaned or repaired. Broken blinds on two windows, a broken window with duct tape on it. Bathroom floors peeling apart since day

I would give Rent Chas & Leasing and Management Co a NEGATIVE 100 if I could. UNethical, UNcommunicative, money grubbing slumlords are all they are. $20 a month for a air filter I can get at Walmart for less than $10, policy changes with no notice, constant property manager changes. Kept $1000 of my security deposit for "painting". Take TONS of pics like I did, so you can prove you left a place in perfect condition. I'll be getting my money back at an extra expense...to THEM. Woulda painted the place myself for less $40 before I moved out, IF it had needed it AND if it was even legal for them to

Property Management is a tough business and these guys know how to navigate all of it! They have the largest inventory of any management company in town and can always find the exact house that my clients need!
