Avoid like the plague!
When I was a tenant in one of the properties they managed, there was a leak in an exterior wall that was flooding the neighbor's driveway. We notified the company to send out a plumber. To access the pipe, the plumber made a hole in the interior wall. While the leaking was stopped, they never returned to close up the wall, leaving a huge gaping hole in our entryway. Terrible landlords (really, slumlords is more accurate)!

This encounter still rubs me the wrong way 2 years later. I was living with my roommate who had a lease with these people for 6 years, so I contacted them because she was leaving and I wanted to see if I could lease the place. The woman on the phone quickly tells me to fill out the application online, my partner and I both pay the fee, turns out they were renovating the place the next year instead and couldn’t bother to look that up before taking our money and refusing to issue a refund. Is it even legal to take people’s money on a property you’re not making available?
Also their repair

This company is awesome. I used them to purchase my home two years ago. They were polite. My agent stayed in contact with me every step of the way. So when my daughter needed to rent a home I called them again. They showed her several homes and was able to get her into a great home. She also set her up so she can purchase her own home next year. Awesome!

If you are like me, you only read reviews after you have had a bad experience. These people are straight up crooks. They were the property managers for one of my rental properties and refused to return money owed to me or even respond to my inquiries for statements of accounting.
You should report them to the SC Real Estate Commission. I did. Having their license revoked would benefit the Charleston community and protect other people from their predatory methods.

I have had a hole in my ceiling from a water leak for over six months from where they came in and did half the job and they charge 120$ now instead of 20$ for late fee on rent. The only reason it was late is because the check was dated to the 6th which I thought was a part of the agreement. I've rented from this company 1 1/2 years and they couldn't wave the 120$ so I'm already looking at new places and intend to be out soon. This company is the slumlord of the DT area. The walls were never painted after being patched and the countertops were falling apart when I got here but I really

A lot of negative reviews, but I had nothing but a fair and positive experience with them. AC unit was replaced one week after moving in, exterminator was scheduled monthly, and landlord was responsive and ready to answer questions. Knowing that many landlords and real estate companies find illegitimate reasons to keep security deposits, I never expected to receive mine back, though I kept the apartment in good shape. But I received my deposit back without hassle soon after I moved out.

Rent from the Space Company, if you enjoy living in dingy falling-apart houses and being ignored by your landlord! The house we rented had major damage from the previous tenants, which was never taken care of and was taken out of our security deposit when we moved out, even though our landlord had done a walk-through of the house before we moved in. How fair! We had many problems with our water heaters in the middle of the winter and had to call and email multiple times to get a response.
The Space Co also asks that you pay your security deposit to the previous tenants, that way the money never

We were tipped off by a local about this company. They have a running sheet of their available properties. You are able to choose a property and go view it immediately. Everyone was amazingly professional and friendly. p.s. We were looking for a college apartment walking/biking distance to the C of C campus.
