Rochester Management, Inc. is a nonprofit real estate management firm that was created through collaboration among local business and civic leaders in response to an urgent need for quality housing for WWII veterans in Rochester, New York. Since it was established in 1949, Rochester Management has been instrumental in creating much needed affordable housing for seniors and families over the last seven decades.
The non-profit currently manages over 3,700 units throughout Rochester, Canandaigua and Syracuse, consisting of owned properties and real estate managed for other nonprofit organizations. Rochester and its suburbs were in the midst of a severe housing shortage for returning WWII veterans. A dinner between Elmer B. Milliman, President of Central Trust Co. Bank and Charles W. Marshall, Vice President of the Bank, resulted in a plan that would propel a transformation in housing opportunities for veterans at that time.
Rochester Management's experienced leadership team provides the strong foundation for its success as a leader in affordable housing and property management throughout Upstate NY. Peggy joined Rochester Management in 1997 after working for Price Waterhouse and Rochester Community Savings Bank. Having served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for many years, she stepped into the President and CEO role in 2011.
