Sweet Home Inspections, Inc. has been performing inspections since 2000. From the start we have provided a computer generated, narrative inspection with pictures, that is fully compliant with the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethic of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI). Sweet Home Inspections is covered by Errors and Omission Insurance that protects our clients and their real estate agents.
There are many different types of inspections or tests that can be completed on your home. Property inspectors are construction generalists - similar to your family physician. If they spot a problem they will either tell you how to treat it, or depending on the complexity of the issue, refer you to a specialist.

We had an inspection done in July 2021 with a good report of our roof done by Sweet Home Inspections. We have a metal roof and it needed a contractor to sign off on an insurance form so we could get a discount. When the contractor saw our roof, he had many concerns. The flashing was missing in some parts and there was rust. This is all easily seen from our bedroom window. This would have changed the way we negotiated repairs had we known. We now have an out of pocket cost to fix our roof. I reached out to Sweet Home Inspections afterward about the dilemma and they did not respond to me at all.

James Allen did an outstanding job doing the inspection on our new home. He has an engineering background and was overly qualified. He was extremely thorough and took an hour walking us around the entire exterior and interior of the home pointing out any issues and explaining in depth the lifetime each item had remaining as well as how expensive it would be to fix certain items. He answered all of our questions and was very detail oriented, which is exactly what you want during a home inspection. My dad lives 300+ miles away and he is usually my go to for these types of things - I felt like I was

James did an incredibly thorough job on our inspection yesterday!! I’ve used James to do several other inspections in the past. He’s always on time, professional, kind, funny, a “non-alarmist” and extremely knowledgeable!! He reviewed the property inspection with us in person and explained it in great detail before leaving the property. He then had the full inspection report to us the NEXT morning!! In my opinion, James is THE BEST in the business!! I’d recommend James to any of my family and friends!

Use this company all the time for my buyers home inspections. Gwen in the office is great to work with. Inspectors are on time, very thorough, attentive to details. They are especially great with first time buyers walking them through inspection items. They encourage buyers to contact them any time for help and referrals on issues that come up.

James was so thorough, prompt and complete with his inspection. He took time to explain the problem areas he found (and the necessary corrections) and answered ALL of my questions. We’ve used other inspectors in the past but will rely exclusively on James from now on. He also has a wickedly fun sense of humor!
