Hadsten House
We're creating a new Hadsten House experience for our guests. However, we're happy to host you at one of our other sister properties, Chumash Casino Resort or Hotel Corque. Guests are required to wear a mask indoors in common areas, regardless of vaccination status, during their visits to Chumash-owned properties.

Welcome to Hadsten House Inn, a charming French country-style inn located in the quaint Danish village of Solvang, in the heart of Santa Barbara wine country. Enjoy seasonally inspired, wine country cuisine while exploring one of our sister property's restaurants featuring everything from fast and casual to intimate and gourmet.
Services
Hadsten House Inn offers high quality guest accommodations with a sincere commitment to service and excellence. All guests enjoy a luxurious stay at an affordable price. While staying at Hadsten House Inn, guests also enjoy a convenient Solvang location, complimentary parking, and access to a large indoor pool and day service spa.
We stayed a night here in a premium king room and were provided with a beautiful room and wonderful bed which we considered extremely good value for the price. It was comfortably appointed, well maintained and quiet. There is plenty of parking available on site. A cooked buffet breakfast is included in the price.
The Hadsten House Inn & Bistro recognizes the growing need for pet-friendly accommodations and we strive to offer our guests and their pets a comfortable stay. There are designated rooms for pets and please inquire about availability when making your reservation. Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pet on hotel property and in the neighborhoods.
Our rooms are comfortable and spacious, providing a relaxing place to retreat after an enjoyable day exploring Solvang and the surrounding Santa Ynez Valley. Comfortable mattresses, luxurious cotton sheets, large flat-screen HD TVs and decorative wood fireplaces adorn each room. Complimentary high-speed internet, gourmet in-room coffee, plush robes and a mini-refrigerator are provided in every room for your convenience.
Solvang and the Santa Ynez Valley offer visitors a vast array of attractions, activities and special events. To help you enjoy and explore the local region, we have customized a variety of special packages featuring adventure, wine country and relaxation. We stayed at the Hadsten House for 3 days and had an incredible experience.

Our stay was good. We were able to get 2 rooms next door to each other. The rooms were clean and maintained. The AC was cold. There's a mini fridge that you can store items. Parking didn't seem to be a problem and you're only a few steps away from your hotel room. Location is fantastic and we were able to walk to dinner reservations. Breakfast was a voucher that you had to take to a local bakery. The lines at that bakery could get long and moves extremely slow, so plan accordingly.

Pretty much the best place to stay in Solvang. No complains, on the outskirts of the city but, good for putting in your steps and burn all those calories from the goodies eaten earlier. I recommend this place, hard to find something better.

Great clean place where to stay at the entrance of Solvang. I loved that it was a bit away from the hustle and bustle.

Nice hotel and not in the center of Solvang. However, walking distance to all the restaurants and shops. Concerns: peekhole is way too high in door; A/C fan unit is right next to rr sink so the air hits you on the right side when standing in front of mirror; poor lighting in room so you must get ready in front of sink for better lighting.

Why was it excellent?!?...because it just is... An absolute army of helpful, friendly, attentive staff. Daily cleaning of rooms (that I haven't experienced since pre March of 2020), eclectic - but, functional furniture, electric fireplaces in every room, awesome pool and a hot tub (with 2 fire places) and other guests that were absolutely delightful.
Just when you think it's over, they send you to a proper Danish bakery for a free breakfast that makes the best of other hotel "free breakfasts" seem ridiculous.
Due to work, I spend way too many nights in hotels. Maybe my recent stay in downtown

They remain obsessed with covid. The hotel staff reprimanded me for not having my mask on "properly". They no longer offer breakfast at the hotel, choosing to give Covid to other local eateries instead I guess. They do not provide daily room cleanings, which negates the primary reason for having a hotel and not an airbnb. Their discount list for local wineries has substantially decreased in quality. And the carpets are dirty and stained.

The staff are very welcoming and friendly! 24/7 reception, beautiful spa, convent location. We enjoyed our stay very much, and would recommend a stay here. Its right next to Solvang Market, which was awesome for bottled water and snacks. Very close to everything in Solvang, and right off the highway making it easy for Uber drivers/taxis to find you. We got complimentary breakfast at Olsens (walk is about 5 mins, wait for foo about 15mins) which for us included, a choice of coffee, tea, or milk, orang juice, a roll with cheese and jam, and a pastry of choice. The jacuzzi is large and very clean

This was a totally disappointing visit after having stayed at Hadsten House many times. The clerk at the desk told me the wrong room number and gave me a key to another room. Standing at the wrong room with my luggage, I tried to reach the front desk on my phone but was connected to an 800 number where I encountered a recording asking me to touch 1, 2, 3, etc., etc. So the the people I was traveling with kindly walked back to the lobby to determine the problem while I waited with my luggage at a room I could not get into.

The clerk re-assigned me to a room which had been recently cleaned and

Me and my wife have stayed here probably on four separate occasions over the past decade. it has recently changed ownership, I believe the Chumash tribe purchased it, however that has not changed how friendly everyone is there and the amenities, etc. The location really is quite excellent. although it's not literally in downtown solving it's maybe a 5-10 minute pretty walk. also conveniently right next to a liquor store/snack shop which is good if you want to just wind down with the glass of wine or whatever when the day is done. I also really like the pool which is completely indoors. it's really

Clean rooms and close to everything. However, my husband is disabled and has difficulty going up stairs. They gave us a room on the 2nd floor but did not provide help taking the bags to the room, which we're a few. Today when we checked out, no one answered the phone at the front desk. We were lucky that we found someone to help us take the bags to the car. Very poor service and low awareness for those with physical challenges.

Stayed there on July 7, 20121. No real complaints when I stayed there. On July 13, I received an email from the hotel saying that if I complete a survey I would receive a 30% discount for future reservations.

Specifically, it said, "By simply taking this brief survey, we'll provide you with a 30% discounted rate next time you book directly with us. It's our way of saying thank you."

I completed the survey and on July 16, I received an email stating,
" Thank you for sharing your most recent Hadsten House Inn experience with us. Your responses to our survey will

Stayed here about a month ago (just finished trip). By far our favorite hotel of the entire trip! Very spacious, quiet, and comfortable-- I even asked housekeeping what brand of mattress it was so I can get my own for home! Good wifi, very clean, quaint and charming decor, good shower/pressure, good location for sightseeing around town. Jacuzzi and pool were both very big and clean, and we enjoyed visiting with other guests at both. For breakfast they gave us a voucher for a free traditional meal at the local bakery across the street. Front desk was amazingly helpful and professional. We were very

Lovely little quaint property. Our room was old bud had some cute furniture pieces to add to its allure and branding. The room was clean EXCEPT for our 2 bedside lamps. They looked as if they have not been dusted all year. We were here during the end of COVID so that may have impacted service. The staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again!

Don't waste your time on hotels more expensive. It goes to show that just because you pay more for a hotel doesn't mean it's better. This place is perfect. Rooms are extremely clean perfect location and the staff is amazing and work hard to ensure your stay is a pleasure. Will make this my go to from now on.

LOVED this place! Was greeted by 2 ladies in the office when we arrived and was checked in promptly. The room was cute. (wish there was better lighting). Continental breakfast at the local bakery was nice. Great location and we felt very safe. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends. Also love being able to park right in front of our room.

Lovely room. Friendly staff. Clean. Air conditioner would not turn off, so I unplugged it. They cannot disguise the fact that the building is a typical motel style, but they have decorated it nicely. Great price. Hot tub in room is pleasant. Will visit again.

I just want to say that I was not planning on leaving a review, if anyone from The Hadsten House would have at least responded to my phone call or emails. Unfortunately, they are choosing to ignore me. I went to Solvang with my girlfriends to celebrate a birthday and a wedding anniversary. We had called the hotel to let them know in advance and see if we could get a particular room. They said yes and we were on our way. Upon arrival, they had changed our room and downgraded us due to booking through a 3rd party app. It was a bummer, but we moved on with our day. We woke up in the morning to find

They scattered rose petals on the bed and around the tub for our honeymoon. Super cool, we'll have to come back for our anniversary. This hotel is amazing, we got the room with the jetted jacuzzi tub, with its own tv and fireplace! Super romantic. It even has a separate walk in shower which we love. It's decorated very warm, and the staff if very friendly! They're implanting Covid safety rules, there currently is a temperature check and mandatory mask in lobby rule. The indoor pool is open, but very limited capacity. We haven't gone to the pool yet, because the tub is so nice

Such a terrible experience. The beds are hugely uncomfortable. My back hurt all night. The rooms are tiny and old. People were outside talking loudly until 3 am which kept me awake. The air conditioner hardly works and we were sweating all night.
The pool in indoors which is fine. We went to get a towel and the woman angrily responded that she would be there in a moment. When she finally came with the towels she started yelling that there was too many people in the pool. Absolutely horrified with the customer service.
Worst experience in a hotel ever. I can't believe they market this as

Wife and I stayed here for a couple nights. I booked directly to request one of the two rooms they have available for dogs. They only charge 50 dollars for your entire stay as their pet fee. Some other hotels in the area was charging roughly 50-75 per night.
If you plan on staying here with your pet, you have to book directly to get one of these rooms.

Getting food past 8pm in Solvang is challenging so it was nice to see that Hadsten House had room service till 10pm. The only downside to ordering any food is you have to go down the the front desk to pick up your order. The burger I had was really

Hadsten house is a fantastic little hotel to stay at if you're in Solvang area. Located at the end of the strip, it has rooms in two floors. The rooms, though old school looking, are well kept and clean. They come with a fridge as well. Your stay should include a breakfast served in the AM. Although the breakfast was nothing fancy, it was enough to get you going without spending unnecessary dollars for food outside.
