The room itself was very nice and cute. We were on the bottom floor so we had two doors to either head towards the shops or to the parking lot which was nice. The room itself was nice and large with a nice bathroom and plenty of storage
The reason for taking off a star was the room was not available until almost an hour and a half after we were told it would be. It seemed like one person was cleaning all of the rooms and got to ours last.

Very nice lodging accommodations right in the middle of town and an ideal location. Suitable for a couple of nights or an extended stay with a kitchenette that has a sink, a microwave, a Keurig and hot water kettle. Comfortable and clean. Access to second story can be via stairs or elevator which is nice when you're carrying a lot of bags

Our first time in Solvang, and this cute little place did not disappoint. We had the room with 2 queen beds so we were on the second floor with vaulted ceilings. It made the room seem so big and a little more homey. We also had a mini fridge and a microwave. We had a big dining table, which was perfect for our daughter to sit and do her coloring and games on. She personally loved our hotel room lol.
I like that it's just tucked back enough from the main road, but still could walk to the town square park in 5 minutes. Everything was so easy to get to. They also included a 2 for 1 wine tasting

I enjoyed my stay here! I will definitely add this to my most favorite place to stay in Solvang.

The bedroom was big, and the ceiling was high. The entire place is clean. The bed was so comfortable. There was a big table in the middle of the room with long benches.

They have a small designated parking space for the guests. All the wineries and restaurants are working distance.

Overall, I love this place!

This an update to my review on Saturday 9/11. They were unable to fix the plumbing issue nor the odor. They were also fully booked and we couldn't get another room, BUT they got us situated in another hotel. Yes , we had to pack again but they made sure we had another room. Everything worked out just fine thanks to their attention. They made it right.

9/11/21 Not a great way to start a 15th wedding anniversary. Walking into a clogged shower. It smells awful.

Quaint rooms nestled in downtown Solvang. Easy walking distance to all local shops and food. Parking on site behind the inn. Well furnished. We will be staying here again for future visits.

A great place to stay! We had a problem with the TV and staff came quickly to fix it. Very satisfied with the room--it was clean and nicely furnished. Would definitely stay here again!

We're here for one night. And this is a very simple basic room.
Very clean. With a refer. All White.
The TV only gets one channel. The office doesn't answer at 8 pm.
I won't call the emergency number for a tv.
I see previous users had a voucher at Olsens Bakery but nothing with our key. No worries.
You can hear your neighbors but not so much tonight.
The bed is fine and if the shower is good it will work out ok. The inn is cute.

Unfortunately can't recommend, and very disappointed that Yelp reviews were so misleading. The deferred maintenance appears to be more than just a covid-shutdown issue. I'll just list the uncomfortable aspects of our room and hope they will be able to spruce this otherwise cute little inn up to inhabitable standards:
1. Ants appeared within 45 minutes of being in the room.
2. Mold on the shower curtain.
3. Considerable dry rot in the bathroom.
4. Red splatter stains all over the bathroom door (blood or rust? don't want to know!)
5. Bed and pillows, hard, lumpy, uncomfortable.

I had high hopes for the Atterdag, but was ultimately disappointed in the lack of attention to detail/pride of ownership. (I stayed 1 night in room 6.)
Cracked switch plate
• This was the first thing I saw when I entered the room. Isn’t there an ACE Hardware store 5 minutes away?
Crooked and painted AC unit
• Certainly looked like the painter couldn’t be bothered with masking off the unit.
Cable TV
• The cable was not working when I arrived. I had to find, and reset, the cable box.
• The cables were exposed below the TV
• The back of the TV was covered in dust

Stayed here week of March 2 2021. Loved the location as easy walk to the stores and food. The room was very clean. Our room was right on the road and there was construction right outside the room which started at 7 am and was very loud and annoying.
Only downfalls: Beds were hard and not comfortable, the parking was difficult to get into too and not enough spaces, ran out of toilet paper and no staff on site.

The location is perfect. Stayed at the atterdag Inn with family and the room was nice and remodeled and it was cozy but the linen and bed was dusty. Parking is available at the back .
The room is very spacious and has cable TV. They offer breakfast just across the street at the Olsen bakery. Its very delicious. They have hardwood floors and the restroom is big and has a huge bathtub 🛀 . The windows are nice and big for extra light during the day.
The only bad part is that my dad has asthma and the room was covered in dust as if the room hadn't been used in a month. Dad was coughing until we

My daughters and I stayed at the Atterdag Inn in Solvang for one night on November 23, 2020.

Let me start with the bad...

The walls are so thin. Get some of those silicone earplugs.

There are just a few parking spots directly behind the Atterdag Inn... otherwise, there is a free public lot with a short walking distance.

I did NOT like the lack of an additional security lock or even a latch on the door. Especially now that I no longer have the male companion that I thought would always be in my life... not cool.

+ our room was not ready at 3PM and when we got to the door, I felt like we had

The room was nice and big , but let's just say don't face the street portion near the new wine place and so loud , can hear people's convos through the walls and windows . The shower was very very hard to use . The hot and cold were not lined up and took forever to figure out where the hot water is , we had a fold out couch bed and got there and no linens . We called and the lady at the desk, " did you open it up " uh yeah lady , " she comes up to room and she says " that's wierd" . And she leaves . The parking here is really and so if you plan on leaving

What a delightful stay in town. First time to venture to Solvang and this place is perfect. Overall stay was great. We had to get generously switched to both upgraded rooms, due to an issue that was not that big of a deal. Regardless we had the chance to see two different styles and both celebrate a Scandinavian aesthetic. Couple of notes: walls are a bit thin as are the windows but it's part of the building's character. It is incredibly central but far enough from the main road to be a little less crazy. So easy to walk, good WiFi and best is all the staff. Jessie / Jess was our

The location of this hotel was great, easy access for all the things solvang has to offer. The rooms itself are not great especially for the overpriced fee. rooms need updating and upkeep in general. door looked like it had blood splatter and the molding in the bathroom are worn down and look like they are stating to build mold on them. No front office, you need to go to another hotel about two blocks away to check in and get the key. below are some pictures on the current status of ROOM #5. The programming on the TV is garbage and not much to see on tv once solvang shuts down which is about 6pm

Lovely overnight stay at Atterdag Inn in Solvang. It's a small boutique inn managed by Hamlet Inn. They have signs posted that the office/reception is at Hamlet Inn, it was a short 5-minute walk so it wasn't so bad. I just wished that they informed us ahead of time that the reception was located in a different area. There is ample free parking at the back -- 6 slots and there are free parking lots close by too. There are only a few rooms (less than 10, I think) that surround the courtyard.

Location was close to everything but away from the main road.

The price per night was very reasonable

I cannot say enough good things about this place! One bad thing? The outside of the windows could stand to be cleaned but that affected zero things to our stay.

The check-in process was "unique". We had to go to the Hamlet Inn in order to check-in and get our keys... And I mean they're not the plastic key cards like of the modern day, they're legit metal keys. It made me nervous bc w/ the plastic keys, if you lose them, you get it replaced at no add'l charge... These keys, there was a charge that I am blocking out of my head bc I didn't want to lose them!

The times we've been to Solvang we usually stay at Hotel Corque or at Hadsten House but since it was a last minute trip those hotels were sold out so this was our next option and I'm so glad it was. The location of this hotel is Everything!!! We were in room 1 and it was so amazing that the hub of town was right outside our door; the shops and restaurant were steps away which I loved! I will definitely stay here again.

Pros: location, vouchers to Olsen's (pastries and coffee) every morning, great service

Cons: Checking-in is at the Hamlet (few blocks away so not too bad, but

Finding the check-in office (which is at another hotel and really easy once you know where you're going) was difficult bec mapquest would switch from 4th place to Mission and throw us off so we drove around 3 times before finally calling....bad mapquest.
The place (Room 1) is super cute. We really liked it and thought it was adorable. . If we ever stay here again we will always request room 1. . This was a girls trip so the double beds were perfect. The only thing we, as girls, would suggest are a full length mirror to make sure the back of your dress is all the way down and to be able to

Our room was street-level but no issues with noise or neighbors. Inside is decorated in modern Danish style. Very clean and roomy!

Clean modern themed Danish inn that is located in a great location. Just steps away from all the shops and restaurants. The amenities are very basic, but the room was very spacious and clean. The room included a king bed, kitchenette, sofa, and dining table. The room was lacking counter space in the bathroom, lotion, hooks, and a full length. The hotel lobby is located two blocks away and that's where you would have to go for ice. The inn also offered complimentary bike rentals and they had a quaint courtyard. Parking was easy and conveniently on the property. Would definitely go back

Very clean and cute minimalistic feel inside. The location was very convenient and close to everything. I like how it's not the typical hotel feel, It was like having our own apartment in solvang.
The downsides:
for me was the included breakfast. Instead of having a typical hotel continental breakfast, they gave us vouchers for free breakfast at Olsen's (a roll, Pastry, cheese, jam, butter, coffee or orange juice). I don't eat dairy or breads/grains so this was disappointing to me. However, for some this may be better than the typical hard boiled egg, oatmeal, banana breakfast

Same owners as the Hamlet Inn. Check in at the Hamlet which is just a short walk around the corner.

The building itself is pretty old so you'll hear everything outside and you'll feel every step taken and every door close. I suggest ear plugs.

The rooms are LARGE and very spacious with clean walls and huge windows. Problem is that the windows aren't covered properly so if you like sleeping in, bring a blindfold or something.

The bathrooms are SMALLLLLLLL.

This property was not built to be a hotel. It appears to have been a general office use building turned into a hotel, so
