Central location which is nice. Breakfast included in rate which saves some money. Rooms are comfortable but nothing fancy. It's a bit pricey for what you get. Free parking.

Such a cute hotel! I'm really happy that we chose to spend the night, and chose Wine Valley. We stayed at the cottage. It was super spacious and could easily house 4+ people. My only complaint is that the heat was a bit loud but honestly, everything was comfortably and thoughtfully set up. Such a great memory and I loved every second of the time spent here!

We loved the architecture style of this hotel. It was a good thing we were given a map of the floors as it's a very unique design. The only issue we had was the elevator only went to the 2nd floor and you had to walk up 12 steep steps to the 3rd. They did offer to change our room. Breakfast was good with a nice variety of Danish and eggs etc. Great location as hotel is within walking distance of everything. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.

Actually writing this review from room 311 right now at 1:45 AM in the morning BECAUSE I CAN'T SLEEP! Light coming in from the outside hallway through the windows is so bright I can read a newspaper in bed. It's mid December and probably 40 degrees outside. Hotel room walls are so thin you can feel the cold drafting in. There's a small electric heating unit in the window forcing heat like a hair dryer that sounds like your on a jet flight ( wish I was... I'd be getting something accomplished!). Getting ready to pack up and drive an hour and 30 minutes to get back home..

We planned this spot as our pit stop on the long drive from LA to the bay area. We have two small kids and the drive w/o a stop would be...let's just say, long. It was very close to the novelty shops in the Dutch section of town, which was great for our family. We were there for a short stay, but we still wanted to get the "Solvang experience" the best we could. Our room had great layout, lots of space...it was a"polished" version of what it once was, nice enough for our taste and affordable. It worked well for our family. Their customer service was top notch! They were

Excellent location; a block off the main street, so quiet. Rooms are comfortable, and have everything you need. Nice buffet breakfast with hot and cold items. Reception was very pleasant.

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary getaway, we LOVED this place. We stayed in the Tower King Room and it was such a cool room. We had a fireplace and had a fire each night. We will definitely be bringing family back to Solvang to stay here. Its within walking distance to everything. The customer service was excellent!

The Wine Valley Inn & Cottages is a perfect location to stay while visiting Solvang. The exterior has a charming fascade which offers a warm and inviting feel. The location is unrivaled as it is walking distance from all the shops and just a brisk walk to the mission.

The rooms are well maintained though a little dated. They offer modern tv's, small refrigerators, both showers and tubs along with clean linen. Our particular room on the top floor was excellent with high ceilings and a working fireplace.

On the premises is also a beautiful pond area where one can relax and enjoy

We arrived earlier than stated check in time, but the agent at the front desk was more than accommodating and said if we didn't mind waiting in the adjoining room for about 10 min that a room would be ready for us, of course we were more than happy to wait in exchange for that. Keys were handed over, policies explained and we were off to some much needed downtime.

The room was very lovely, spacious, comfortable and most importantly CLEAN. No mystery stains or hairs. The bed was firm, just how I like it. I didn't use the pillows since I always bring my own, but I used them for support

What a quaint Inn. The grounds were romantic with several fireplaces, a pond and in such a lovely setting. Well worth the 350. We spent for one night. Great location especially if you plan to do wine tasting at various wineries. We went to 2 of them. Continental breakfast was above average and staff were friendly and helpful. We had a fabulous time here and will be back soon. A hidden gem!

We had a great stay here. On the weekend it was pretty loud late into the night, people drunkenly talking in the halls. The week days were much better ! They have an outdoor fireplace where you can enjoy a bottle of wine and some take out. The breakfast that is included is pretty good, eggs/hashbrowns/sausage and then cold items like cereal, pastries, toast, etc. the "wine bar" that is offered 5-8:30p in the lobby is like $8 a glass, in my opinion it would be better to just walk to a wine tasting room. The rooms we stayed in had electric fireplaces and it was the best! Their are refrigerators

The rooms were dirty and old. The room needed a new paint job. Found human hair on the bathroom floor when we checked in. The breakfast room was bleak and sterile and the hot food, so so.

I would use another hotel if I were to return to Solvang.

We stayed here on October 10. My partner from New York has always wanted to see Solvang, so we decided to come and stay for the night. We're glad we did, and we're glad we stayed here. It is a beautiful inn right in the middle of downtown Solvang, close to shops, restaurants, the visitor's center, etc... If you want to have a little fun and take your chances, there is also a Casino only about 10 minutes down the road. My partner played the slots there for a few hours, and had a great time. The hotel has parking in both the front and the back of the hotel. We came back

We got there a little earlier and the front advised our room would be ready at 3pm so we went for lunch and when we came back our room still wasn't ready. Our room wasn't ready until almost 5pm.

I was very disappointed with the service and the room smelled like Clorox when we went in. Not impressed at all by the breakfast also. I would not stay here again and would prefer to stay elsewhere.

Absolutely loved this hotel! The price, location, cleanliness, complimentary breakfast, staff, everything was so worth the stay.

Location is everything. We didn't have a car and Solvang is super tiny. Everything was close by and fairly lit.

Everything in Solvang closes early. The stores closes around 5 then you're left with wine rooms until about 9pm. Restaurants seem to open later as everyone does the late night dining just like in Europe. Next door is The Lost Chord with live performances and they close at midnight.

The complimentary breakfast is your typical American continental

This is a wonderful inn right in the heart of downtown Solvang. You can walk to many bakeries, restaurants and shops. My most recent stay was in a private cottage which is somewhat secluded in the back of the property surrounded by a little koi pond. Our private cottage had its own personal outdoor hot tub which I thought was the coolest thing. Indoors there were two stories and a kitchen along with two bathrooms, a fireplace, king size bed and pull out couch. The staff were all pleasant and our stay was wonderful. The only thing I'd change is the sofa bed was really loud and not too comfy

1 of my new favorite places. Rooms are very clean. Staff was very accommodating. We struggled with a room key, but they did all they could to help us and make it right! The grounds were impeccable. They were always working to maintain them. I can't tell enough people about this place

This review is for cottage 2, and the property in general:

THE GOOD:

1) Staff members Cassie and maintenance person Mario (goes by Bobby) are AWESOME. Can't say enough good about them.

2) Location is awesome, charming standalone cottage, private jacuzzi, in-room gas fireplace, cute courtyard with koi in ponds, 2 community outdoor fireplaces on property. Heating & cooling systems in room work (tho loft bedroom can get quite warm as heat does rise). Kitchen has mini fridge, sink, 2 burner cooktop, toaster, can opener.

3) Free breakfast 7:30-10:30 is adequate (scrambled eggs, sausage

Good value for the price but the bathroom needs some attention.

The rooms were spacious and well decorated, but the floors are creaky and you can hear people upstairs walking around their room. The bathroom shower was renovated (great water pressure), but the toilet and sink area need work.

They offered a basic complimentary breakfast and their gym (albeit small) was open 24/7.

For this price and location, we would stay here again.

Great location. Really close to the main drag. Free Breakfast which is fairly good. I would of gave it five stars if the noise factor was better. The guest, during our stay, were very loud and disrespectful. They also allow dogs, which is fine, but we had a few dogs barking very early in the morning and late at night. Our room was very adorable and accommodating and had some nice touches. One thing I did like was after you check in , you get a text from the front desk asking you if you need anything, which I found comforting. You can text them anytime with any issues or requests.

Stayed here the weekend of the 27th of August. The first night there.... They gave my bf and I a small room w two full size beds. We did NOT sleep well the first night Bcz we didn't fit but still wanted to sleep together. The breakfast isn't the greatest but it was ok for being free. The staff was extremely nice and made up for the horrible night by letting us stay in a cottage which made the mistake forgivable. It's clean and roomy.
Overall we had a good stay and will more than likely stay there again.

This hotel is a bit on the pricier side. Location is walking distance to shops and dining. Architecture is charming.

The room is very clean and decorated nicely inside! Hotel provided Neutogena hair and body soap.

Hotel provides breakfast until 10:30
Eggs, toast, hash browns, cereal, coffee, tea, juices, yogurt, danishes

The hotel grounds could use some sweeping. Spider and Cobb webs everywhere.

Overall good choice to stay here

Stayed here last weekend, woke up to bed bugs (see pictures). Not sure I really need to say anything beyond "this place has bed bugs" but the interior is pretty dodgy looking - paint peeling from walls, stains and gum in the elevator...

But really, do you need to know anything more than the place has bedbugs?

Bonus points to the front desk women who was absolutely understanding.

The front desk staff confirmed that it was a bedbug and apologized and said the room would be free of charge! However, the management still tried to charge me 50% and say they didn't find any bedbugs

I loved staying at this hotel, Solvang and all it had to offer. The people here are so nice. It's a breath of fresh air to be treated kindly and effective looks happy so I guess you have happy employees. The room was very large and fit all 4 easily. It was clean and I was on the 3rd floor which would only be good if you can walk stairs (we can) and is very quiet. I didn't realize breakfast was included (full breakfast - eggs, sausage, hash browns, danishes in many flavors, juices, milk, coffee, tea, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt). My kids loved the breakfast and the man that served it was very

Need a charming place to stay for a relaxing overnight vacation in Solvang? The Wine Valley Inn was perfect!

Location, location, location. Walking distance to the main road, but set back a bit for a really quiet night. Parking was easy right in front of our room. Loved being able to walk to the cute local Danish bakeries and Hans Christian Andersen park.

Breakfast was quite good despite the limitations of the pandemic. Scrambled eggs, hash browns, oatmeal, yogurt, juices, coffee and teas were generously offered. Highlights were the Kringle like almond custard cinnamon rolls and fruit Winerbrod

Found this hotel while googling hotels in Solvang. The room we were first shown was not even cleaned nor was the bed made. I called the front desk and they immediately sent someone over to move us to another room. They upgraded us to a king suite with a kitchen and and washer and dryer. We were very appreciative of the quick action. However, the toilet was pretty much child height. We were too tired to complain and decided to ride it out since we were only staying one night. Ask about the bathroom amenities. Lovely place but next time should I come I will ask for an adult size toilet

Enjoyed my experience here. The rooms in the tower were very private and beautiful. I didn't feel like people were in my space as I walked around the grounds. My room was clean, specious and the beds were extremely comfortable. I also loved that they had a big TV to go with a nice size room. Front desk check in was easy and the person was friendly.

They no longer offer buffet breakfast but they still had complimentary breakfast served by a worker - nothing great but it's free. There were sausage, scrambled egg and hashbrown so better than continental.

Location was perfect...a block
